In this paper, we applied the high-performance PGAP(Parallel Genetic Algorithm Processor) to recognizing rotated pattern. In order to perform this research efficiently, we used Multi-PGAP system consisted of four PGAP. In addition, we used mental rotation based on the rotated pattern recognition mechanism of human to reduce the number of operation. Also, we experimented with distinguishing specific pattern from similar coin patterns and determine rotated angle between patterns. The result showed that the development of future artificial recognition system is feasible by employing high performance PGAPS.
Face detection using AdaBoost algorithm is capable of processing images rapidly while having high detection rates. It seemed to be the fastest and the most robust and it is still today. Many improvements or extensions of this method have been proposed. However, previous approaches only deal with upright faces. They suffer from limited discriminant capability for rotated faces as these methods apply the same features for both upright and rotated faces. To solve this problem, it is necessary that we rotate input images or make independently trained detectors. However, this can be slow and can require a lot of training data, since each classifier requires the computation of many different image features. This paper proposes a robust algorithm for finding rotated faces within an image. It reduces the computational and sample complexity, by finding common features that can be shared across the classes. And it will be able to apply with multi-class object detection.

This paper presents a new feature extraction technique, correlation coefficient and Manhattan distance (MD) based method for recognition of rotated object in an image. This paper also represented a new concept of intensity invariant. We extracted global features of an image and converts a large size image into a one-dimensional vector called circular feature vector's (CFVs). An especial advantage of the proposed technique is that the extracted features are same even if original image is rotated with rotation angles 1 to 360 or rotated. The proposed technique is based on fuzzy sets and finally we have recognized the object by using histogram matching, correlation coefficient and manhattan distance of the objects. The proposed approach is very easy in implementation and it has implemented in Matlab7 on Windows XP. The experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed approach performs successfully on a variety of small as well as large scale rotated images.
The image retrieval generally shows the same or similar images to a query image as a result. In the case of rotated image, however, its performance tends to be debased significantly. We propose a method to ensure a reliable image retrieval of rotated images as follows; First, to obtain feature points of query/DB images by Harris Corner Detector; and then, utilizing the feature points, to find the object's axis and query/DB images into rotation invariant images with Principal Components Analysis algorithm. We have experimented with 6,000 natural images which are 256 pixels in diameter. They are 1,000 Wang's images and their rotated images by $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$. The simulation results show that the proposed method retrieves rotated images more effectively than the conventional method.
This study analyzed the observation characteristics on space by analyzing through the visual perception experiment to the image dates from the original space and the rotated space of it. The results of this study are as fellow as: First, most frequently observed points were, lower end mainly from the center was more observed in the original space while upper end mainly from the center was more observed in the rotated space. Therefore, it is able for us to learn whether the space has the same design, the length of time focusing on one point differentiates as the image rotates. Second, differentiation in observation part, as shown in the case study, can be seen as a consequence of changes in perspective composition. The test indicates that when a design is presented to an observer, the observer's examining point would vary according to where the indoor perspective drawing places a vanishing point. Third, in zones I and II, observation was focused on lower end in the original picture while on the rotated picture there were more focus on the upper end and perpendicularity view of the indoor. Fourth, this study analyzed the mean value of the observation part. As one method wants to see how to change the observation characteristics by rotating the original space, few deviation from the mean value will be interpret to have similar observation characteristics over all even if it has the differences of watching place by rotated space.

The purpose of this study was to compare the balance ability at different foot positions using K A T 2000 (Berg, Inc, vista, CA.1994). Thirty (male 15, female 15) normal subjects participated in this study. All subjects were tested at a one leg position or a two leg position that were toe-in $25^{\circ}$, toe-out $25^{\circ}$, and $45^{\circ}$. The starting position was where the subject crossed their arms across the chest and flexed knees slightily. The results of each test were displayed on a screen in a score format, which indicated balance index. These collected data were analyzed by using one way ANOVA, and t-test. The results of this study were as follows: When changing the angle of the foot in the one-foot and two-foot standing positions, there was no statistically significant difference, but the balance performance with the foot rotated by $25^{\circ}$ was better than that with the foot rotated by $45^{\circ}$. When changing the direction of the foot in the one-foot and two-foot standing positions, there was no statistically significant difference, but the balance performance with the foot rotated laterally was better - except for the case when the foot was medially rotated by $25^{\circ}$ in the right-foot static standing position. When the feet were medially rotated by $25^{\circ}$ in the two-foot static standing position, and were medially rotated by $25^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ in the one-foot static standing position, the balance performance of females was better than that of males. In this study, it was found that the balance performance of the subjects changed when the position of the foot was shifted on an unstable base of support. However, there was little correlation between balance performance and the height, weight and foot length of the subjects. It is necessary to conduct a follow-up study targeting various age groups and those with various diseases using an unstable platform or applying different physical or visual conditions, such as the length of the legs. Physical therapists need to consider the position of the foot in clinical settings for a better balance training or assessment.
For protecting copyright for trademark, convolutional neural network can be used to confirm genuine of trademark image. For this, repeated training one trademark image degrades the performance of machine learning because of overfitting problem. Therefore, this type of machine learning application generates training data in various way. But if genuine trademark image is rotated, this image is classified as not genuine trademark. In this paper, we propose the way for extending training data to confirm genuine of trademark image which is rotated. Our proposed way generates rotated image from genuine trademark image as training data. To show effectiveness of our proposed way, we use CNN machine learning model, and evaluate the accuracy with test image. From evaluation result, our way can be used to generate training data for machine learning application which confirms genuine of rotated trademark image.

In the two-condition within-subject mediation design, pairs of variables such as mediator and outcome are observed under two treatment conditions. The main objective of the design is to investigate the indirect effects of the condition difference (sum) on the outcome difference (sum) through the mediator difference (sum) for comparison of two treatment conditions. The natural condition variables mean the original variables, while the rotated condition variables mean the difference and the sum of two natural variables. The outcome difference (sum) is expressed as a linear model regressed on two natural (rotated) mediators as a parallel two-mediator design in two condition approaches: the natural condition approach uses regressors as the natural condition variables, while the rotated condition approach uses regressors as the rotated condition variables. In each condition approach, the total indirect effect on the outcome difference (sum) can be expressed as the sum of two individual indirect effects: within- and cross-condition indirect effects. The total indirect effects on the outcome difference (sum) for both condition approaches are the same. The invariance of the total indirect effect makes it possible to analyze the nature of two pairs of individual indirect effects induced from the natural conditions and the rotated conditions. The two-condition within-subject design is extended to the addition of a between-subject moderator. Probing of the conditional indirect effects given the moderator values is implemented by plotting the bootstrap confidence intervals of indirect effects against the moderator values. The expected indirect effect with respect to the moderator is derived to provide the overall effect of moderator on the indirect effect. The model coefficients are estimated by the structural equation modeling approach and their statistical significance is tested using the bias-corrected bootstrap confidence intervals. All procedures are evaluated using function lavaan() of package {lavaan} in R.
The purpose of this study was to find out what changes in weight bearing in the both upper extremities occurred in response to Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex by rotation of head in the quadruped position. The subjects for the study were 80 children (44 male, 44 female) who were neurologically normal. They were divided into two groups $6\~7$ year olds and $8\~9$ year olds. Paired t-test was applied as a atatistical method at the 0.01 level of significance. The results of this study are as follows; 1. In the neutral position of head, there was mort weight bearing on the left hand than the right in both of the two groups(p<0.01). 2. When the head was rotated to the right or left passively, there was more weight bearing on the hand of side to which the face was rotated(p<0.01). 3. When the head was rotated to the right or left actively, there us also more weight bearing on the hand of side to which the face was rotated(p<0.01). Therefore, it is possible to un Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex to increase body weight for muscle strengthening in children with weakened muscles of the upper extremities. further studies are required for confirmation of these findings.

Cooperative diversity is a technique with which a virtual multiple antenna array is established among the single antenna users of the wireless network to realize space diversity. Signal space diversity (SSD) is a bandwidth-efficient diversity technique, which uses constellation rotation and interleaving techniques to achieve diversity gain. A new cooperative diversity scheme with rotated constellations (RCCD) is proposed in this paper. In this scheme, data are modulated by using a rotated constellation, and the source and the relays transmit different components of the modulated symbols. Since any one of the components contains full information of the symbols, the destination can obtain multiple signals conveying the same information from different users. In this way, space diversity is achieved. The RCCD scheme inherits the advantage of SSD - being bandwidth-efficient but without the delay problem of SSD brought by interleaving. The symbol error rate of the RCCD scheme is analyzed and simulated. The analysis and simulation results show that the RCCD scheme can achieve full diversity order of two when the inter-user channel is good enough, and, with the same bandwidth efficiency, has a better performance than amplify-and-forward and detect-and-forward methods.
