휠-레일 접촉 해석을 통한 협궤용 전동차 차륜 답면 분석 (Study on wheel profile for railway vehicle with narrow gauge by profile contact analysis)

  • Main parameters of wheel-rail combination are investigated by profile analysis. A rolling radius difference is one of the main characteristics that describe a contact between wheelset and railway track, which in turn defines the dynamic behavior of a wheelset. This paper describes functional relation between lateral wheelset displacement and rolling radius difference or conicity on new/worn wheel of existing narrow gauge vehicle. Information about curving behavior and running stability are given by this both relations. The optimal wheel profile for railway vehicle with narrow gauge is adopted through this analysis. And, the applicable limit value of conicity which is used in order to do dynamic simulation of vehicle is presented.

  • 본 연구에서는 고속연속주조의 기초적 연구로서 벌징만을 선택하여 주조속도 의 변화에 의한 주편의 거동을 해석하기 위해 응력을 변형률, 변형률속도, 온도의 함 수로서 잡고 크리프 변형과 탄소성 변형을 동시에 고려한 모델을 도입하여 주편내에서 의 벌징량, 변형률 등의 상태를 밝히며, 고속주조에 있어서 고려해야 할 사항에 대하 여 고찰한다.

골재의 동적 거동 모사를 위한 DEM 입력변수의 결정 연구 (Determination of DEM Input Parameters for Dynamic Behavior Simulation of Aggregates)

  • PURPOSES : Evaluation of input parameters determination procedure for dynamic analysis of aggregates in DEM. METHODS : In this research, the aggregate slump test and angularity test were performed as fundamental laboratory tests to determine input parameters of spherical particles in DEM. The heights spreads, weights of the simple tests were measured and used to calibrate rolling and static friction coefficients of particles. RESULTS : The DEM simulations with calibrated parameters showed good agreement with the laboratory test results for given dynamic condition. CONCLUSIONS : It is concluded that the employed calibration method can be applicable to determine rolling friction coefficient of DEM simulation for given dynamic conditions. However, further research is necessary to connect the result to the behavior of aggregate in packing and mixing process and to refine static friction coefficient.

Constitutive Relation of Alloy Steels at High Temperatures

  • This paper presents a feasibility study whether Shida's constitutive equation being widely used for plain carbon steel in steel manufacturing industry can be extended to alloy steels with a due carbon equivalent model. T,he constitutive relation of the alloy steels (SAE9254, AISI52100 and AISI4140) is measured using hot deformation simulator (GLEEBLE 3500C) at high temperatures ($800^{\circ}C{\~}1000^{\circ}C$) within strain rates of $0.05{\~}40\;s^{-1}$. It has been found the predicted flow stress behavior (constitutive relation) of AISI52100 steel is in agreement with the measured one. On the other hand, the measured flow stress behavior of SAE9254 and AISI4140 steel partly concords with the predicted one when material experiences relatively high strain rate ($10{\~}40\;s^{-1}$) deformation at low temperature ($800^{\circ}C$). It can be deduced that, for AISI52100 steel, Shida's equation with the carbon equivalent model can be applicable directly to the roughing and intermediate finishing stand in hot rolling process for calculating the roll force and torque.

철도차량 충돌 시 선두차량의 횡 및 요잉 거동 예측 연구 (Study on the Prediction of Lateral and Yawing Behaviors of a Leading Vehicle in a Train Collision)

  • 본 연구에서는 철도차량의 사고의 유형 중 가장 많이 발생되는 지그재깅 현상에 대해 이론 모델을 정립하여 선두차량의 지그재깅 거동에 대한 운동방정식을 도출하였다. 운동방정식을 풀기 위하여 미분방정식 수치해석법 중 가장 대표적인 Runge-Kutta 4차식을 사용하였고, 휠-레일 인터페이스에 의한 휠의 횡 변위는 운동에너지를 이용하여 추정하였다. 그리고 이론식을 검증하기 위하여 재그재깅 현상에서 가장 변위가 큰 연결기 위치에서의 횡 변위에 대해 시뮬레이션과 이론식을 비교한 결과 비 탈선 충돌조건에서 최대 편차율은 0.8 [%] ~ 4.7 [%] 발생하고, 탈선 충돌조건에서는 탈선이 일어나는 시점에서 차량의 횡 변위를 비교한 결과 최대 편차율이 0.6 [%] ~ 5.1 [%]로 잘 일치하는 것을 확인하였다. 이론식을 사용하여 사고나 현상을 시뮬레이션으로 재현할 때 필요한, 전체적인 거동에 부합하는 차량 간 연결의 초기 off-set량을 예측할 수 있다.

치면착색제의 자가 사용이 구강 관리에 미치는 효과 (Efficacy of self-applied plaque disclosing solution in oral care)

  • Objectives: This study involved a non-equivalent control group, pre-test/post-test measurement experiment to evaluate the efficacy of distributing plaque disclosing agents to healthy adults living in South Korea and promoting its self-application. Methods: O'Leary index, PHP index, oral health behavior intention, and oral care satisfaction were used as research tools. A notice was posted on the bulletin board from September 12 to October 15, 2016, to recruit adults aged 20-50 years. Data were analyzed using SPSS Version 22.0, and frequency analysis, Pearson's chi-squared, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Kruskal-Wallis, and repeated measures ANOVA were performed. Results: The O'Leary index was significantly reduced in the group (p<0.01), and time (p<0.01) after education and width of the decrease had the highest score in the group that received education on plaque disclosing only. They were followed by the group that received education on plaque disclosing and the rolling method, the group that received education on the rolling method alone, and the control group. The PHP index significantly decreased in the group(p<0.01) and time (p<0.01), and the group time (p=0.039) after education, and width of the decrease had the highest score in the group that received education on plaque disclosing and rolling method. They were followed by the group that received education on plaque disclosing alone, the group that received education on the rolling method alone, and the control group. Conclusions: Based on the aforementioned findings, the direct use of plaque disclosing had a marked effect on self-oral care. These results suggest that the self-application of plaque disclosing could be an effective self-care method for improving the oral environment.

Al 7075 압연재의 피로균열 성장과정에서의 이방성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Anisotropy of Al 7075 Rolling Material in Fatigue Crack Growth Process)

  • The research has extracted two kinds of specimen, one is rolling direction material(R-material) and the other rectangular of rolling direction(V-material), from Al alloy 7075 rolled. We have come to a conclusion by measuring crack propagation behavior with movement type microscope and Replica. 1) R-material shows 130% higher, approx. 39.2MPa in fatigue strength than V-material, approx. 29.4MPa. 2) In crack proportion, contrary to V-material growing directly toward specimen axis, R-material grows neared to shear direction. 3) The life proves that R-material is approx. 122% higher than V-material at 43.1MPa and approx. 135% higher at 47MPa. 4) The correlation between fatigue crack length and fracture life ratio applied to 'log(2a)=A+B ($N/N_f$)'equation shows inappropriate, because property value of Al alloy is low and the difference of chemical composition is high comparing with steel material.

손상역학에 의한 레일의 구름접촉피로 연구 (A Study on Rolling Contact Fatigue of Rail by Damage Mechanics)

  • The rail/wheel rolling contact affects the microstructure in the surface layer of rail. Recently. continuum damage mechanics allows us to describe the microprocesses involved during the straining of materials and structures at the macroscale. Elastic and plastic strains. the corresponding hardening effects are generally accepted to be represented by global continuum variables. The purpose of continuum damage mechanics is to introduce the possibility of describing the coupling effects between damage processes and the stress-strain behavior of materials. In this study. the continuum damage mechanics caused by elastic deformation was briefly introduced and applied to the fatigue damage of the rails under the condition of cyclic loading. The material parameter for damage analysis was first determined so that it could reproduce the life span under the compressive loading in the vicinity of fatigue limit. Some numerical studies have been conducted to show the validity of the present computational mechanics analysis.

국내 철도 차륜/레일형상 조합에 따른 차량 동특성 분석 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of the Rolling-stock for the Combination of Domestic Wheel/Rail Profiles)

  • Railway wheel/rail contact conditions have influences on dynamic behavior of the rolling stock. If there are incompatibility problems between the wheel and rail, damages like wheel wear, wheel spalling, rail wear, etc are occurred. Especially wheel and rail profiles are important factors of vehicle curving performance, so compatibility studies between wheel and rail profiles have to be carried out preferentially. In this study, we have studied the compatibility between wheel and rail profiles of KNR conventional line to analyze the dynamic performances of the rolling-stock. Thus we showed the results relating to wheel/rail geometric contact, vehicle running performances as the change of wheel/rail combination.

  • The deformation behavior of commercial stainless steels under hot rolling conditions was investigated by means of hot compression tests performed in the temperature range 800$^{\circ}C$ to 1200$^{\circ}C$. The measured flow stress-strain curves were analyzed by using a simple flow stress model. It was found that the reference strength of stainless steels are much higher than that of carbon steel and that nitrogen and molybdenum alloying greatly increases flow stress of austenitic stainless steel. Ferritic and duplex stainless steel showed comparatively low flow stresses. The flow stress model, which correlates the flow stress with temperature and strain rate, was applied to predict roll forces during hot-plate rolling of stainless steels.
