Particle-Size Distribution Dependent upon Crushing Mechanism and Crushing Circuit (파쇄 메카니즘과 파쇄회로에 따른 입도분포)

  • We report the particle-size distribution and comminution charactersitics of dolomite depending upon crushing equipment (hammer crusher and roll crusher) and crushing circuit (open and closed). The quantity of fine particles (< 100 mesh) produced by hammer crusher was 34 wt.% which is about three times that by roll crusher. The quantity of 14~25 mesh size fraction by roll crusher was 20 wt.% higher than that produced by hammer crusher. 80 wt.% of the crushing products by hammer crushing was under 35 mesh in size, while the particles produced by roll crushing were relatively coarse. The particle size of both the hammer and roll crushers decreased by employing closed crusing circuit in comparison to open circuit. Products of required particle-size were obtained effectively depending on appropriate crushing equipment and crushing circuit.

  • Recently, shortage of natural aggregates resources and the amount of waste concrete hsve been rapidly increased, the technique of aggregates manufacturing of waste concrete is damanded. In this study, we evaluated the performance of gutter type roll crusher. Gutter type roll crusher is showed enhanced producing manufacturing ability. The gutter type roll crusher achieved more friction energy than general roll crusher, also a mount of producing showed same results.

A roll crushcr and a hammcr crusher wcrc used to granulate pre-crushed concrete\ulcorner below 30 rnm The crushers pruducc finer sizes far ccmcnt concrete than for asphalt concrele, and the hammer crushing resulls in separating the aggregales from thc olhers better than thc roll crushing. The narural aggregatcs of orcr 70-90% by volume were obtained from the concretes by using a riffled shaking table.

  • To enhance the recycling rate of wasted glass bottles toward recycled aggregates, the study would decide optimal comminution equipment based on the particle size distribution, aspect ratio and equipment energy analysis. The impact, compress and abrasion is type of generated force by comminution. So, hammer crusher, shredder, roll crusher and ball mill have been selected because they have characteristic which is each type of force. As a result of the particle size analysis of each product, only the shredder product satisfied concrete and asphalt aggregate quality standard condition. Also, as a result of aspect ratio analysis using Imaging software program (Image J, National institute of health), most of size fraction is confirmed under 1.6 value. It was confirmed that the product has low dangerousness and satisfying to shpage index. Also, the particle reduction ratio against input energy of shredder product was the most high. Therefore, we can decide that the optimal equipment which applicable for comminuting waste glass bottle in certain particle size under 10mm is shredder. The result of study will make contribution to increasing energy efficiency of comminution processing and competitiveness of product.

Recovery of Tantalum Anode from Waste Tantalum Condenser by Air Classification (공기분급에 의한 폐콘덴서로부터 탄탈륨 회수)

  • Physical separation containing grinding, sieving, dry magnetic separation and air classification were carried out in order to recover Ta anode from waste Ta condenser. Roll crusher wat used for the liberation of resin and metals in closed circuit system. The liberation between Ta anode and resin was easily achieved, whereat some of metals did not liberated from the Ta anode when the waste condenser was crushed below 8 mesh. When the crushed sample were divided into 8/10 mesh, 10/18 mesh and -18 mesh, metals was mainly remained in 8/10 mesh in contrast to Ta anode was in +18 mesh. It was shown that resin was more easily crushed rather than metals from the result of that resin content was 71.5% in -18 mesh. The liberation efficiency was different with the input size of the crushed sample and average efficiency was 62.3% due to the locked Ta anode particles. The results of air classification test for the crushed samples showed that optimal air flow are 39㎥/h, 32㎥/h, 20㎥/h. respectively. When the sample were separated with optimal condition, 94.45% Ta anode containing 97.47 wt.% Ta anode, 0.93 wt.% resin. 1.61 wt.% metal was recovered with 49.39 wt.% yield.
