사회극 극놀이에 나타나는 유아의 상호주관성과 역할유형 및 또래간 유능성간의 관계 (Children's Intersubjectivity in Social Dramatic Play: Relationships to Play Role Types and Peer Competence)

  • The social dramatic play of seventeen five-year-old children was videotaped and transcribed for analysis of Intersubjectivity and play role types. The teachers of the children rated children's social competence. Results showed that children's Intersubjectivity in social dramatic play was related to their play role types and peer competence. Children with a high level of Intersubjectivity play leading roles during social dramatic play and were rated as socially competent by their teachers. The results were discussed from the Vygotskian perspective. Implications for early childhood teachers and suggestions for future studies were provided.

아버지의 놀이성이 아버지-유아 친밀감에 미치는 영향 - 아버지의 놀이 참여 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Effect of Father's Playfulness on Father-Child Intimacy - The Mediating Effect of Fathers' Play Participation -)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of the father's play participation in the relationship between father playfulness and father-child intimacy. Methods: We conducted a survey of 500 fathers with 3~5 years olds attending kindergartens and located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Father's Playfulness Scale, Father's Play Participation Scale, and Father-Child Intimacy Scale were used as data measuring tools. The data collected in this study were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 Program. Results: As a result of examining sub-variables of play participation among fathers, it turned out that mediating effects occurred in physical play, role play, and function play. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest the necessity of developing a father education program to increase the intimacy between father and child as the role of father becomes increasingly important in the age of co-parenting.

아버지의 양성평등한 부모역할신념과 어머니 문지기 역할이 아버지의 놀이참여와 영아기 자녀와의 친밀감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Gender-equal Parental Role Belief of Fathers and Maternal Gatekeeping Recognized by Fathers on Their Participation in Play and Father-Infants Intimacy)

  • Objective: The aims of this study is to investigate the internal and external environment surrounding fathers and to promote play-participation with children and father-Infants Intimacy by identifying the influence of a father's belief concerning gender-equal parental role and the mother's roles as a gatekeeper. Methods: The participants of this study were 291 fathers who had infants ranging from 1-36 months of age and were living in Seoul and South Chungcheong Province. The data were collected through the questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS 24.0. Results: The main results are as follows. First, gender roles, livelihood keeper-father beliefs, importance of father rearing, and the mother's role as a doorkeeper affect the father's participation in play. This differs according to the characteristics of each type of play. Second, it was found that the father's gender roles and the mother's role as a doorkeeper had a significant effect on the intimacy between the father and the infant. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study revealed that fathers' belief in gender-equal parenting and mothers' encouragement through opening the door as gatekeepers affect the formation of intimacy between fathers and their children in infancy, and are factors that influence play participation.

Play Interactions between Children with Autism and their Siblings in a European American and a Vietnamese American Family

  • We examined play interactions between siblings when one child has autism in a Vietnamese American and a European American family. Analysis was based on video recorded free play sessions with each set of siblings at their home. Interviews with the typically developing sibling and parents also provided supplemental data to aid our knowledge about their play behavior. This study describes the role of the typically developing sibling in play and the types of play engaged in by siblings. Findings indicate that the two sets of siblings differed in their play behavior. Specifically, significant differences were noted in the role of the typically developing sibling in play, and the types of play engaged in by the siblings. The perceptions of the typically developing siblings and parents regarding autism also differed across families, significantly affecting their play behavior. Implications for research are described.

과학사 주제에 따른 과학사-역할놀이가 대학생의 과학의 본성의 변화에 미치는 효과 -원자모형의 변천과 멘델레프의 주기율표의 변천 주제를 중심으로- (The effectiveness of the change in perspective of the nature of science depending on subjects of the history of science-role play -The atomic model transition and the Mendeleev's periodic table -)

  • 본 연구에서는 과학의 본성을 현대적 관점으로 변화시킬 수 있는 프로그램으로서 2 종류의 과학사-역할놀이 프로그램을 고안하여 그 프로그램의 적용 효과와 과학사 주제별 과학의 본성의 인식의 변화에서 차이가 있는 지를 알아보았다. 과학사 주제에 따른 역할놀이 활동 전후의 과학의 본성 인식변화 효과의 차이를 분석한 결과 I 그룹(원자모형의 변천-역할놀이 활동)과 II 그룹(멘델레프 주기율 표-역할놀이 활동)을 수행한 그룹 사이에 과학의 본성 인식 정도가 통계적으로 차이가 없는 동질한 그룹이었으나, 각각의 주제로 과학사-역할놀이 처치를 한 후 시행한 사후검사에서 I 그룹이 II 그룹보다 그 인식의 정도가 통계적으로 유의미한 차이로 높게 나타났다. 이는 과학사-역할놀이 활동을 처치한 후에 과학의 본성에 대한 인식의 변화 정도는 각각의 역할놀이와 결합시키는 과학사의 주제에 따라 그 효과가 차이가 있을 수 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 본 연구결과는 주제의 흥미도와 난이도를 고려하기 보다는 시계열적 과정을 거쳐 다수의 과학자들이 과학적 이론을 정립해 가는 과정이 포함된 과학사 주제를 선택하여 과학사-역할놀이 활동을 할 경우 과학의 본성의 변화에 더 효과적일 수 있다는 가능성을 시사한다.

Role-Play Training Factors that Positively Influence Training Satisfaction and Customer Service Orientation

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of effective role-play and training on employee education satisfaction and customer orientation. Evidence of the suggested objective is obtained by monitoring the effectiveness of hotel service training. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from 280 role-play sessions performed in a Korean Hotel and examined using a frequency analysis, reliability/validity assessments, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 19.0. Results - 1) Entrepreneurs and training instructors should enthusiastically apply service education in order to enhance each employee d evaluation in terms of customer satisfaction and customer orientation. 2) The most effective factor on customer satisfaction and orientation is the instructor's qualifications. 3) Since a higher level of education-training satisfaction leads to better customer orientation, effective education-training is essential to achieve this result. Conclusions - The study was able to obtain practical evidence that can confirm that service education-training through role-play positively affects employee customer service orientation. In future advanced research on training effects on customer orientation, various internal factors of a business should also be considered.

역할극을 활용한 지구 온난화와 생태계 변화에 관한 수업이 고등학생들의 학업 성취도와 환경적 태도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Role-Play Method Related to the Global Warming and Ecosystem on High School Students' Knowledge Achievement as well as the Attitude towards Environment)

  • In this research, we have carried out an experiment with grade 10 students. Students will be choosing their roles and creating their own script in relation to the environmental problems such as the seriousness of global wanning and the mutation of ecosystem. Throughout this process, they will come up with a solution to the problem In addition, we will assess students' knowledge achievement as well as the changes in attitudes toward environment, and analyze whether the role-play method of education is efficient or not. According to the research result, we have confirmed that the method of role-play as a education tool was more efficient than the traditional lecturing method. Students experienced higher rate of knowledge acquisition and more optimistic effects on their attitudes toward the mutation of ecosystem and also the seriousness of the global wanning. Students also pointed out in the interview that the role-play allowed them to share their thoughts with other classmates, which were not carried out frequently in the traditional education system In addition, each member of groups could participate cooperatively with teammates, which ultimately helped them to develop scientific and introspective ways of thinking.

  • The objectives of the unit ‘Family Relations’in high school Home Economics Education is to help the students cultivating proper values and self-esteem, maintaining harmonious personal relations not only by understanding human relationships in family, but also by acquiring role play, and is to wisely cope with many problems occurring in social life, which are indispensable for those living in modern society. But at present it is hard for the students to gain those abilities mentioned above, for the present unit ‘Family Relations’lays special emphasis only on memorizing specific knowledge about the understanding of a family. To improve the present educational situation, this study develops a new teaching-learning method based on the role play model concerning the ‘Family Relation’area of high school Home Economics Education curriculum. This study is theoretically based on the literature and previous studies on present problems of our various family relations, and solving its problems, and suggests lesson model of role play and its effect. This study was performed as following procedures: the ‘Family Relation’unit of the present high school Home Economics Education curriculum was analyzed, and surveyed students to discover the conflicts and their solutions the high school students are now experiencing in their family relations. Accordingly, a new lesson model of the ‘Family Relation’area, applying role play was developed. Based on the developed lesson plan, two-hour classes were experimented and positive evaluation was given by students.

사회 변화를 촉구하는 기능성 게임의 이론적 배경 (Theoretical Background of Games for Social Change)

  • 기능성 게임(serious game)은 특정 목적을 위해 제작된 게임을 일컫는다. 본 연구는 사회 변화를 촉구하는 기능성 게임의 이론적 배경을 연구함으로써 다양한 시도를 위한 토대를 제공하고자 한다. 먼저 게임의 요소와 게임 관련 이론들을 살펴봄으로써 서사적 몰입과 비판적 참여라는 상반된 참여 방식이 공통적으로 역할 놀이(role play)를 통해 이루어지고 있음을 설명하였다. 나아가 교육 이론을 바탕으로 역할 놀이가 인지 및 행동 변화를 촉구할 수 있다는 점에서 사회 문제를 다루는 기능성 게임의 전략으로 활용할 것을 제안하였다. 국내 기능성 게임의 사례 조사를 통해 역할 놀이가 어떠한 방식으로 구현되었는지 살펴보았으며 이를 토대로 역할 놀이가 상황적 맥락에 참여하도록 한다는 것을 그 공통적인 요소로 도출하였다.
