  • Background: Depression is the most common psychological reactions in women with breast cancer. This study aimed at investigating the amount of depression and its role in predicting the quality of life of women suffering from breast cancer. Materials and Methods: The present descriptive study in volved a correlation method with 98 women living in Kermanshah-Iran with breast cancer. According to the access to the patients and the condition of conducting the research, they were chosen by available sampling. Life quality inventory (World Health Organization, 1989) and depression inventory (Beck et al., 2000) were used to gather the data. Moreover, to analyze the relationships among the variables correlation analysis with Pearson method, as well as multiple regression with the enter method and frequency analysis were applied. Results: The findings revealed that not only is depression high, but also there is a negative significant relationship between depression and the quality of life, with predictive potential. Conclusions: The finding of a relationship between depression and the quality of life points to the need for addressing psychological problems of the affected individuals more appropriately. It is suggested that we consider psychological and educational services for patients in treatment planning to make people aware of different psychological aspects of their disease and ways of struggling and overcoming the problems.

  • This study analyzes diverse factors in time poverty and quality of life in dual-earner families with preschool children that pertain to the individual, family, and occupation. Data were taken from the 17th edition of the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study developed by the Korea Labor Institute in 2014. The sample consists of 826 households who are dual-earner families with preschool children. The major findings are as follows. First, this study identified inadequacies in personal care time for dual-earner families with preschool children. Second, the results show that gender, recognition of gender role, and overall satisfaction of occupation are related to the time poverty of dual-earner families. Men are more likely to experience time poverty than women, and equal recognition of gender role and satisfaction of occupation indicate a negative relation on the time poverty of dual-earner families with preschool children. Last, quality of life in non-time-poor groups is higher than for groups who experience time poverty. Also, health state, earned income, work-family life conflict, and overall satisfaction of occupation are commonly related to quality of life in both groups. The results suggest implications for comprehensive policies to address family time issues.

  • Different industries mostly rely on quality certification for promoting their products or brands. Although getting quality certification, specifically by human experts is a tough job to do. But the field of machine learning play a vital role in every aspect of life, if we talk about quality certification, machine learning is having a lot of applications concerning, assigning and assessing quality certifications to different products on a macro level. Like other brands, wine is also having different brands. In order to ensure the quality of wine, machine learning plays an important role. In this research, we use two datasets that are publicly available on the "UC Irvine machine learning repository", for predicting the wine quality. Datasets that we have opted for our experimental research study were comprised of white wine and red wine datasets, there are 1599 records for red wine and 4898 records for white wine datasets. The research study was twofold. First, we have used a technique called backward elimination in order to find out the dependency of the dependent variable on the independent variable and predict the dependent variable, the technique is useful for predicting which independent variable has maximum probability for improving the wine quality. Second, we used a robust machine learning algorithm known as "XGBoost" for efficient prediction of wine quality. We evaluate our model on the basis of error measures, root mean square error, mean absolute error, R2 error and mean square error. We have compared the results generated by "XGBoost" with the other state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, experimental results have showed, "XGBoost" outperform as compared to other state of the art machine learning techniques.

  • The purpose of this convergence study was to evaluate the influence of interpersonal problems on sleep quality in college students and to analyze the mediating role of mental health and the moderated mediating role of emotional regulation. This was a cross-sectional study of 307 students at a college in Seoul. The results of hierarchical linear regression showed that interpersonal problems and mental health were statistically significant predictors of sleep quality in college students. A mediation analysis further revealed that students' mental health mediates the relationship between interpersonal problems and sleep quality. Additionally, there was a moderated mediating role of dysfunctional emotional regulation in this process. Our findings suggest that supportive and adaptive cognitive emotional regulation educational programs should be designed based on college students' maladaptive emotional regulation experiences and individual characteristics.

  • Purpose: This study aimsto assert trust as an important mediator in the service business. The research topic relatesto service businesses that have low exposure to comparative information and weak consumer positions in terms of law, such as the beauty clinic businesses in Indonesia. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses explanatory and purposive sampling. A survey was conducted among 268 Indonesians, collected by distribution via Google Forms. The hypotheses were tested using AMOS software. Results: The results indicate that trust did not have a significant role in mediating brand awareness, service quality, and price perception on revisit intention, but only mediated satisfaction. Furthermore, this study discloses the neutralization attitude and dissonance behavior represented by trust mediation. Conclusions: These findings attempt to expand the literature on the role of trust in the service business. However, the beauty clinic businessin Indonesia infers misbehavior. Misbehavior is caused by vulnerable conditionsin which consumers are unable to share their experiences with other consumers. The reason is that the defamation law in Indonesia is often implemented in the wrong direction. This must be corrected so that consumers obtain their rights and create a mutually beneficial relationship between beauty businesses and consumers.

  • Personality, especially neuroticism has been found related to be related with poor sleep quality. This study focused on emotion regulation, reappraisal and suppression, which can buffer or aggravate the effect of neuroticism influencing sleep quality. One hundred and forty two ordinary adults were used in this study and were recruited and required to complete a package of questionnaires including: the Eysenck personality Questionnaire/EPQ, the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire/ERQ, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index/PSQI. The result was that participants with higher neuroticism had poorer sleep qualities than those with lower neuroticism. Moreover, participants that had high neuroticism and high reappraisal had better sleep qualities. This means that there was an interaction effect of neuroticism and reappraisal on sleep quality. However, suppression did not have a moderating effect on the relation between neuroticism and sleep quality. These findings inferred that reappraisal plays an important moderating role (buffering effect) on the relationship between neuroticism and sleep quality. Reappraisal cannot only prevent people high in neuroticism from sleep problems but can also buffer symptoms of sleep disorder by treating patient's negative emotions.
