국내 도로면 거칠기 특성 분류 기준에 관한 연구 (Classification of the Korean Road Roughness)

  • A Korean Road Roughness Classification(KRC) method is proposed. Using a dynamic road profiling device equipped with the Accelerometer Established Inertial Profiling Reference(AEIPR) method, road profile measurement is performed on various types of public paved roads in Korea. The road profiling data are processed to classify the characteristics of Korean road roughness. The resultant Korean road roughness classification(KRC) is shown different characteristics compared to the road classification proposed by ISO, MIRA, and Wong. The proposed KRC is composed of 8 classes(A-H, very good-poor) based on the power spectral density and is in good agreements with the characteristics of Korean paved road roughness and can be used well in vehicle ride comfort simulation using domestic road profile.

도로의 경사가 승용차 유류소모량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Road Gradient on Fuel Consumption of Passenger Car)

  • 유류소모량 산정 모형 개발을 위해서는 차종, 도로의 경사, 포장상태, 포장종류 등 다양한 변수들을 고려해야 하지만 현재 사용하고 있는 국토교통부의 투자평가지침에도 차종으로만 구분이 되어 있을 뿐 다양한 요인들을 고려하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 도로의 경사도가 승용차의 유류소모량에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 실제 주행실험을 통해 얻은 데이터를 기반으로 유류소모량 산정 모형을 개발하고 적용성을 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 경사도에 따른 유류소모량 모형 개발을 위해 GPS 장비와 연비측정장비를 이용하여 실제 주행실험을 통해 유류소모량을 초(sec)단위로 측정하였다. 평지(${\pm}0{\sim}2%$), 오르막(+2~5%), 내리막(-2~5%)의 세 가지 경사도로 구분하였으며 차량의 속도와 유류소모량을 변수로 하는 회귀모형을 이용하여 모형을 개발하였다. 승용차의 유류소모량은 내리막, 평지, 오르막 순으로 커지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

로드뷰 영상에서 번호판 영역의 저해상도 특징을 이용한 원거리 자동차 번호판 영역 검출 (Long Distance Vehicle License Plate Region Detection Using Low Resolution Feature of License Plate Region in Road View Images)

  • 본 논문은 포털 사이트에서 서비스 되고 있는 로드뷰 영상에서 개인정보 보호를 위해 자동차 번호판 영역을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다. 로드뷰 영상에서 번호판 영역은 거리에 따라 서로 다른 특징을 갖고 있으며, 특히 원거리의 번호판 영역은 저해상도 특징으로 인해 번호판 영역을 검출하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 근거리에 있는 번호판 영역은 에지 특징을 이용하고 원거리에 있는 번호판 영역은 MSER 특징을 이용하여 번호판 영역을 검출하는 기법을 제안하였다. 각각의 방법으로 검출된 영역을 번호판 후보 영역으로 선정하고, 자동차 번호판의 숫자는 구조적 특징을 갖기 때문에 이를 이용하여 최종적인 번호판 영역을 검출하였다. 실험결과, 다양한 로드뷰 영상에서 precision 75%, recall 93%, 그리고 F-Score 80%의 성능평가 결과를 얻었다.

  • A road energy harvester was designed and fabricated to convert mechanical energy from the vehicle load to electrical energy. The road energy harvester is composed of 16 piezoelectric cantilevers. We fabricated prototypes using a vehicle load transfer mechanism. Applying a vehicle load transfer mechanism rather than directly installing energy harvesters under roads decreases the area of road construction and allows more energy harvesters to be installed on the side of the road. The power generation amount with respect to the vehicular velocity change was assessed by installing the vehicle load transfer mechanism form and underground form. The energy harvester installed in the underground form generated power of 4.52 mJ at the vehicular velocity of 50 km/h. Also, power generation of the energy harvester installed in the vehicle load transfer mechanism form was 48.65 mJ at the vehicular velocity of 50 km/h.

네트워크 도로터널에서 근접행렬을 이용한 교통량 계산 방법 (The calculation method of the traffic using incidence matrix in vehicle network tunnels)

  • 도로 터널 내의 환기설계를 위해서는 먼저 각 차종별 교통량 구성 비율을 알아야 한다. 일반적인 도로터널의 경우 입구와 출구의 수가 동일하고 일방향이기 때문에 유입된 차종별 구성 비율이 출구에서 나올 때까지 달라지지 않는다. 반면에 네트워크 도로터널의 경우 터널 내의 연결이 복잡한 네트워크로 되어 있기 때문에 차종별 구성 비율이 달라진다. 이에 본 연구에서는 근접행렬을 이용하여 네트워크 도로터널에서 차종별 일교통량 구성 비율을 쉽게 계산할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • In the early phase of vehicle development, CAE is conducted as tool for vehicle performance assessment. To maintain acceptable road noise performance, solution for reduced vehicle sensitivity is required. Chassis interface dynamic stiffness characteristics are key component to isolating vibration and noise of road from the vehicle interior. This research provide how to set up the optimized dynamic characteristics under noise effect through DFSS study. CAE-based DOE is performed to build prediction math model, CMS process involves DOE to achieve very fast run times while giving results very comparable. Minimized $95^{th}$ percentile of performance distribution is applied to minimize vehicle sensitivity and road noise levels variation during the optimization process. Finally, the results of optimization were reviewed for performance and robustness.

STABLE AUTONOMOUS DRIVING METHOD USING MODIFIED OTSU ALGORITHM

  • In this paper a robust image processing method with modified Otsu algorithm to recognize the road lane for a real-time controlled autonomous vehicle is presented. The main objective of a proposed method is to drive an autonomous vehicle safely irrespective of road image qualities. For the steering of real-time controlled autonomous vehicle, a detection area is predefined by lane segment, with previously obtained frame data, and the edges are detected on the basis of a lane width. For stable as well as psudo-robust autonomous driving with "good", "shady" or even "bad" road profiles, the variable threshold with modified Otsu algorithm in the image histogram, is utilized to obtain a binary image from each frame. Also Hough transform is utilized to extract the lane segment. Whether the image is "good", "shady" or "bad", always robust and reliable edges are obtained from the algorithms applied in this paper in a real-time basis. For verifying the adaptability of the proposed algorithm, a miniature vehicle with a camera is constructed and tested with various road conditions. Also, various highway road images are analyzed with proposed algorithm to prove its usefulness.

  • This paper presents a real- time detection of on-road succeeding vehicles based on low level edge features and a boosted cascade of Haar-like features. At first, the candidate vehicle location in an image is found by low level horizontal edge and symmetry characteristic of vehicle. Then a boosted cascade of the Haar-like features is applied to the initial hypothesized vehicle location to extract the refined vehicle location. The initial hypothesis generation using simple edge features speeds up the whole detection process and the application of a trained cascade on the hypothesized location increases the accuracy of the detection process. Experimental results on real world road scenario with processing speed of up to 27 frames per second for $720{\times}480$ pixel images are presented.

  • Development of a real-time simulation model for high-speed and multibody tracked vehicles is difficult because they involve hundreds of highly nonlinear equations. In the development of a reliable tracked vehicle model for real-time simulation, it is helpful to use an off-line tracked vehicle model developed by considering all the degrees of freedom of each element. This paper presents a step-by-step procedure for the development of a real-time simulation model based on the off-line tracked vehicle model. The road input data, Profile IV, is used for the real time simulation and simulation results are compared with vehicle test results obtained in the military test field. It is noted that the simulation results are quite close to the test results.

WAVELET ANALYSIS OF VEHICLE NONSTATIONARY VIBRATION UNDER CORRELATED FOUR-WHEEL RANDOM EXCITATION

  • The wavelet analysis method is introduced in this paper to study the nonstationary vibration of vehicles. A new road model, a so-called time domain correlated four-wheel road roughness, which considers the coherence relationships between the four wheels of a vehicle, has been newly developed. Based on a vehicle model with eight degrees of freedom, the analysis of nonstationary random vibration responses was carried out in a time domain on a computer. Verification of the simulation results show that the proposed road model is more accurate than previous ones and that the simulated responses are credible enough when compared with some references. Furthermore, by taking wavelet analysis on simulated signals, some substantial rules of vehicle nonstationary vibration, such as the relationship between each vibration level, and how the vibration energy flows on a time-frequency map, beyond those from conventional spectral analysis, were revealed, and these will be of much benefit to vehicle design.
