  • As the variant of skyline query processing, reverse skyline Queries have been studied. However, the existing methods for processing reverse skyline Queries have the limitation of service domains and spend high costs to provide various location-based services. In this paper, we propose a new reverse skyline Query processing method that efficiently processes a query with the objects in metric spaces. In addition, the proposed method also processes continuous reverse skyline queries efficiently. In order to show the superiority of the proposed scheme, we compare it with the previous reverse skyline 벼ery processing scheme in various environments. As a result, the proposed method achieves better performance than the existing method.

  • Many studies on reverse skyline query processing have been done for company oriented services. The existing methods about reverse skyline are reverse skyline based on dynamic skyline. There is no reverse skyline query processing algorithm based on metric spaces for location-based services. In this paper we propose a reverse skyline query processing scheme that applies for a general skyline and considers distance spaces. The proposed method processes reverse skyline queries in the metric spaces using the existing spatial indexing scheme and considers both Monochromatic and Bichromatic environments. In order to show the superiority of the proposed scheme, we compare it with the basic skyline query processing scheme through performance evaluation. As a result, the proposed method excellent performance was about 5000 times more than conventional method.

  • The reverse skyline query plays an important role in information searching applications. This paper deals with continuous reverse skyline queries in sensor networks, which retrieves reverse skylines as well as the set of nodes that reported them for continuous sampling epochs. Designing an energy-efficient approach to answer continuous reverse skyline queries is non-trivial because the reverse skyline query is not decomposable and a huge number of unqualified nodes need to report their sensor readings. In this paper, we develop a new algorithm that avoids transmission of updates from nodes that cannot influence the reverse skyline. We propose a data mapping scheme to estimate sensor readings and determine their dominance relationships without having to know the true values. We also theoretically analyze the properties for reverse skyline computation, and propose efficient pruning techniques while guaranteeing the correctness of the answer. An extensive experimental evaluation demonstrates the efficiency of our approach.

  • Existing methods to compute reverse skyline queries are not correct to process the queries in dataset with region objects which have conditions like a price is 5~7 dollars and a distance to beach is 1km~2km, since they consider datasets with only point objects. To solve the problem, we propose a novel method to process reverse skyline queries for region objects in this paper. It has advantages. First, it is expected to get a good performance, because it is extended from efficient reverse skyline (ERSL) algorithm which is a best algorithm to computing reverse skyline queries in datasets with point objects. Second, it can give a right of choice unlike the others to a person requesting the query. That is because results of reverse skyline have a difference preference according to proposed pruning methods and overlap relations. This algorithm is a first for supporting region objects. Therefore there are not any other algorithms to compare their performance. For that reason, our experiment to prove the efficiency of proposed algorithm is focused what conditions give an effect to its performance and result and how much time it needs to process the query.

  • Recently, "Service of information perspective" that is an important issue is that a company searches customers that interested in certain information and the company offers information to the customers. This service can gain high effects by low cost because of supporting selective information. In most recently, Reverse Skyline using Skyline Approximation(RSSA) is proposed to process services of information provider's perspective. RSSA has problem to defects about waste of processing time and memory. In this paper, Efficient Reverse Skyline(ERSL) Algorithm is proposed for Efficient processing the Skyline. ERSL is new Algorithm using Branch and Bound Skyline(BBS) reduces the waste of processing time and memory. When we execute the variety experimentation to valuation ERSL algorithm's capacity. It is proved the best efficient algorithm among the others because ERSL is flexibly kept the established capacity.
