환경보호관심도가 환경보호적 의복구매행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Environmental concern on environmentally Responsible Apparel Purchasing Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine consumers environmental concern environmentally responsible behavior relationship between environmental apparel product knowledge and environmentally responsible apparel purchasing behavior and demographical features which have an influence on those above NEP scale was used to measure environmental concern GERB scale to measure environmentally responsible behavior ERAB scale to measure environmentally responsible apparel purchasing behavior and EAPK scale to measure environmentally reponsible knowldge. 1. Enviromentally reponsible apparel purchasing behavior is done more by thirties of over forties than by twenties. 2. Single women are more interested in environmental concern than married women are while environmentally responsible behavior and environmentally responsible apparel purchasing behavior are practiced more by married women than by single women. 3. As well-educated people have more knowledge about environmental concern. On the contrary as poorly-educated people preactive more knowledge about environmental responsible apparel purchasing behavior. 4. The group higher interest in environmentally have more environmentally responsible knowledge than those having lower interest. 5. There is no significant difference in environmentally responsible apparel purchasing behavior according to environmental apparel product knowledge. 6. The group having higher interest in environmentally responsible behavior practice more environmentally responsible apparel purchasing behavior than those having lower interest.

IEEIA 수업이 우리나라 고등학생의 환경행동 및 관련변수에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of IEEIA Instruction on Responsible Environmental Behavior and Associated Variables in High School Student)

  • This study has the goal to modify ‘Investigating and Evaluating Environmental Issues and Actions’(IEEIA) instruction in the sense of Korean ecological sociocultural characteristics and ‘ecology and environment' curriculum and to assess the effects of modified IEEIA instruction on responsible environmental behavior and associated variables in high school student. A modified pre- and post-test nonequivalent control group design was utilized with 4 intact classes from J-high school at Seo-cheon, Chungcheongnamdo. Pre- and post-test data were collected on the following variables: responsible environmental behavior, knowledge of and skill in using environmental actions strategies, in-depth knowledge about issues, and locus of control. Analysis of t-test was used to compare pretest with posttest means of treatment group and control group. In treatment group, statistically significant differences between pretest and posttest were found with all variables. The treatment was found to be more effective than the control in increasing the variables of responsible environmental behavior, knowledge of and skill in using environmental actions strategies, and locus of control.

환경교육에서의 Hungerford적 '책임있는 환경행동'에 관한 논의 (A Critique of the Critiques of Hungerford's 'Responsible Environmental Behavior' in Environmental Education)

  • There are some critiques of Hungerford's "responsible environmental behavior" for misinterpreting or misunderstanding the term of "behavior". Most critics such as Wals and van der Leij, Jae-Young Lee misunderstood that Hungeford and his colleagues' approach to environmental education is a sort of behaviorism which is not correct. The writer corrected them by showing the successful story of the IEEIA program from the teachers, the children, and the community members digging by the foot. The IEEIA program represents his philosophy of education which can be characterized a non-behaviorist by Wals and van der Leij, if we attempt to classify all educators as behaviorist and non-behaviorist. And the writer also criticized the critiques with the well known "professional environmental educators" in the North America who have known Hungerford's ideas in environmental education well such as Roth, McClaren, Ramsey and Hungeford himself. 환경 책임성 행동에 미치는 자기 효능감과 사회규범에 대한 동조의 영향 (The Effects of self-efficacy and confirmity toward social norm on environmentally responsible behaviors)

  • So far, most of studies on environmentally responsible behaviors were based on the Hines et. al.(1987)'s behavior model which emphasized mainly personal causes of behaviors. This study was planned to investigate whether self-efficacy and conformity toward social norm could be good predictors for environmentally responsible behaviors or not. In the preliminary study, Several scales on environmental problems were made up for measuring the levels of knowledge, attitude, and behavior from usually used items of previous studies. And, some relevant items to self-efficacy scale and conformity toward social norm scale were selected through factor analysis and reliability analysis recursively. In the main study, Knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, conformity toward social norm, and behavior of high school students were measured in urban and rural areas. Results showed that students in urban areas took environmentally responsible behavior more often than ones in rural areas, and there were no differences in attitude and sensitivity but significant differences in self-efficacy and confirmity toward social norm between them. According to regression analysis, self-efficacy was the best predictor for environmentally responsible behaviors, and confirmity toward social norm and knowledge were also good predictors. In conclusion, self-efficacy and confirmity toward social norm are better predictors for environmentally responsible behaviors than attitude.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate causal relation and the influence of socially reponsible atitude and behavior of consumer. In an analysis of causal effect on the socially responsible attitude and behavior of consumer, the most influential variables on the socially responsible behavior of consumer was the socially responsible attitude. And house pattern, altruism, liberalism, dogmatism, perceived consumer effectiveness, environmental concern, faith on the consumer regulation policy, and neutral information had effect on the socially responsible behavior of consumer directly and indirectly.

EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 초등학생의 환경감수성 및 환경책임행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Environmental Class Using EBS Program on Environmental Sensitivity and Environmental Responsible Behavior of Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 P광역시 S초등학교 6학년 40명의 학생들을 대상으로 EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 초등학생들의 환경감수성과 환경책임행동에 미치는 영향을 알아본 것이다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 초등학생들의 환경감수성을 유의미하게 향상 시키는 것으로 나타났다. EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 학교라는 공간적 제약을 넘어 전 세계적으로 지구시민들이 환경문제에 관심을 갖고 있으며 환경문제를 해결하기 위하여 노력한다는 점을 알려준다는 점과, EBS 교육방송 환경 콘텐츠에서 제안하는 환경 문제를학습자가 자신의 문제로 삼아 기쁨, 슬픔, 분노, 두려움, 기대감이라는 정서적인 측면을 기르고, 더 나아가 일상생활, 학교생활에서 환경 문제를 찾아보고 친환경 행동에 참여, 실천하면서 환경감수성이 길러졌다고 생각된다. 둘째, EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 초등학생들의 환경책임행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업이 지식전달에서 그치는 것이 아닌 환경과 관련된 시민적 행동, 교육적 행동, 경제적 행동, 신체적 행동, 설득적 행동으로 연결되는 학습을 제안한다는 점과 실천에 참여한 학생들이 서로 자신의 의견과 생각을 나눠보는 시간을 가짐으로써 환경에 대한 책임감이 길러졌다고 판단된다. 셋째, EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업에 참여한 학생들의 수업 만족도, 흥미도, 참여도를 분석한 결과 연구집단 20명의 학생들 중 80%의 학생들이 만족했으며, 90%의 학생들이 수업이 흥미로웠다고 답했다. 또한 수업의 참여도를 묻는 질문에도 85%의 학생들이 열심히 참여했다고 답했다. 학생들이 지식으로만 환경문제를 접하고 끝내는 수업이 아니라 서로의 생각을 나누고, 행동에 변화를 주면서 환경문제에 자신이 직접 참여하고 있음을 알게 하였기에 EBS 프로그램을 활용한 환경수업에 대한 학생들의 평가가 높게 나타났다고 생각된다.

환경교육 연구의 새로운 측정치 - 주관적으로 책임있는 환경 행동 (A New Measure in Environmental Education Research : Subjectively Responsible Environmental Behavior (SREB))

  • This study was intended to develop a new measure for environmental education research, named ‘Subjectively Responsible Environmental Behavior(SREB), in order to overcome a few of limitations embedded in the previous measures. The results of the study suggested that there were several barriers for learners to take environment-friendly actions, willingness to act was always stronger than self-reported act and the degree of discrepancy between willingness to act and self-reported act is correlated with perceived effectiveness, perceived difficulty, and expected guilty. In terms of participation, this study defined one of major missions of environmental educators is to help learners to identify and overcome such barriers. A new measure that this study has proposed can be better utilized to evaluate effectiveness of environmental education curriculum or programs and find information necessary for modifying the programs than to assess learners' achievement. Some limitations of the proposed measure were also discussed.

폐기물 관리 프로그램의 구안과 적용이 환경 감수성과 환경보전 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Modifying and Applying Waste Management Program on Environmental Sensitivity and Environmental Conservation Behavior)

  • In the sustainable waste management, the necessity of environmental education which improves acquisition of the knowledge, attitudes and values for the environment is being emphasized to help students make environmentally desirable decision and promote responsible environmental behavior. However, the environmental education in high schools, as a whole, would be susceptible to many problems caused by tile educational administration focusing only on the college entrance examination. Therefore, this study modifies and applies a program using four teaching/learning methods (Investigation study, Internet-based learning, Field work, Issue analysis study) which deals with the sustainable waste management as the learning subject for the environmental education, and tries to find its effects on the students' environmental sensitivity and environmental conservation behavior in high schools. The main results of this study are summarized as fellows. First, the waste management program had little influence on the environmental sensitivity of experimental groups, while it had positive effect on their improvement of the environmental conservation behavior. Second, there were little meaningful effect on general environmental conservation behavior, but there were some significant results to environmental conservation behavior related to the sustainable waste management. In addition, positive results were found in ecomanagement and consumerism, whereas there were no meaningful results about in persuasion and legal action, which were sub-domains of the waste management program. Among the waste management programs, the school waste investigation study had the most positive effect on the students' recognition and solution of environmental problems as well as improvement of environmental conservation behavior. The easiest one of the four teaching/learning methods was the Internet-based learning, while the most difficult one of them was the issue analysis study. Consequently, in order to achieve the goals of the environmental education in the academic field, there has to be selected the most suitable one of the teaching/learning methods and to be applied to the class, according to the detailed objectives and loaming contents for the environmental education.

의류소비자의 사회책임 의식적 구매행동 (Socially responsible purchase behavior of clothing shoppers)

  • The growth of cheap, industrial, mass-production-so-called "fast fashion"-has led to dramatic increases in levels of consumption. Inexpensive products tend to foster unsustainable consumption behaviors, which negatively impact the environment and increase pressure to obtain goods at lower and lower prices; this, in turn, has the competitive effect of decreasing wages. This study focused on the concept of socially responsible consciousness in relation to fashion products. Environmental and labor issue concerns were employed as major variables. Empirical data were collected from males and females, between the ages of 10 and 50. Demographic differences were found in SR consciousness. For example, participants in their 10s, 40s, and 50s had higher levels of SR consciousness than those in their 20s and 30s. In addition, consumers' levels of environmental and labor issue concerns had varying effects on the criteria they used to select clothing. Product category type was also an influential factor. Moreover, the analysis showed that SR consciousness was less important in the apparel industry than in the food sector. The study also found an attitude-behavior link in relation to the concept of SR consciousness. The link was stronger for environmental concerns than for labor issue concerns. This study aimed to develop a better understanding of current customers' characteristics and levels of SR consciousness.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the consistency of socially responsible consumer attitudes and behaviors toward environment problem. The major findings were as follows; 1. The socially responsible consumer behaviors toward environment problem were classified into resource conservation purchasing & using in green product and recycling behavior by factor analysis. 2. Correlation coefficient of the socially responsible attitudes and behaviors toward environment problem was found to be above. 43. This result implies that the consistency of socially responsible attitudes and behaviors was very high. 3. In the area of total socially responsible consumer attitudes and behaviors toward environment problem the related variable on the consistency of attitude and behavior were altruism perceived power of big business liberalism alienation dogmatism perceived consumer effectiveness faith on the environmental regulation policy experience of environment education and consumer i formation.
