An analysis of the junction capacitance in resonant rectifiers which has a significant impact on the operating point of resonance circuits is studied in this paper, where the junction capacitance of the rectifier diode is to decrease the resonant current and output voltage in the circuit when compared with that in an ideal rectifier diode. This can be represented by a simplified series resonant equivalent circuit and a voltage transfer function versus the normalized operating frequency at varied values of the resonant capacitor. A low voltage to high voltage push-pull DC/DC resonant converter was used as a design example. The design procedure is based on the principle of the half bridge class-DE resonant rectifier, which ensures more accurate results. The proposed scheme provides a more systematic and feasible solution than the conventional resonant push-pull DC/DC converter analysis methodology. To increase circuit efficiency, the main switches and the rectifier diodes can be operated under the zero-voltage and zero-current switching conditions, respectively. In order to achieve this objective, the parameters of the DC/DC converter need to be designed properly. The details of the analysis and design of this DC/DC converter's components are described. A prototype was constructed with a 62-88 kHz variable switching frequency, a 12 $V_{DC}$ input voltage, a 380 $V_{DC}$ output voltage, and a rated output power of 150 W. The validity of this approach was confirmed by simulation and experimental results.
This paper presents the comprehensive transformer design methodology with the winding method of automatic type suitable for LLC resonant converter. The problem with conventional LLC resonant transformer is that it is difficult to implement the winding method of automatic type because all windings are wound in one bobbin. Therefore, the LLC resonant transformer, which is capable of the winding method of automatic type to multiple section bobbin without insulation tape and barrier tape, is proposed in this paper and the design procedure of the proposed LLC resonant transformer is also shown. Modeling and analysis of the proposed LLC resonant transformer using Maxwell 3D simulation tool are described in detail and a protype 150W LLC resonant converter using the proposed LLC resonant transformer manufactured by 3D modelling is also verified through the experimental test.

The interlayers, either softer or stiffer than the surrounding layers, are usually overlooked during field investigation due to the small thickness. They may be neglected through the analysis process for simplicity. However, they may significantly affect the dynamic behavior of the soil-foundation system. In this study, a series of 3D finite-element Direct-solution steady-state harmonic analyses were carried out using ABAQUS/CAE software to investigate the impacts of interlayers on the dynamic response of a cast in place pile group subjected to horizontal harmonic load. The experimental data of a 3×2 pile group testing was used to verify the numerical modeling. The effects of thickness, depth, and shear modulus of the interlayers on the dynamic response of the pile group are investigated. The simulations were conducted on both stiff and soft soils. It was found that the soft interlayers affect the frequency-amplitude curve of the system only in frequencies higher than 70% of the resonant frequency of the base soil. While, the effect of stiff interlayer in soft base soil started at frequency of 35% of the resonant frequency of the base soil. Also, it was observed that a shallow stiff interlayer increased the resonant amplitude by 11%, while a deep one only increased the resonant frequency by 7%. Moreover, a shallow soft interlayer increased the resonant frequency by 20% in soft base soils, whereas, it had an effect as low as 6% on resonant amplitude. Also, the results showed that deep soft interlayers increased the resonant amplitude by 17 to 20% in both soft and stiff base soils due to a reduction in lateral support of the piles. In the cases of deep thick, soft interlayers, the resonant frequency reduced significantly, i.e., 16 to 20%. It was found that the stiff interlayers were most effective on the amplitude and frequency of the pile group.
A bidirectional secondary LLC resonant converter with auxiliary switches and an additional inductor is proposed to achieve the high gain characteristics of LLC resonant convertors. Auxiliary switches, an additional inductor and a resonant capacitor are connected in the high voltage secondary side of the proposed converter. The ac analysis and operating characteristics of bidirectional secondary LLC resonant converter are investigated. A 1kW prototype bidirectional secondary LLC resonant converter connected to the $400V_{DC}$ buses is designed and tested to confirm the validity and applicability of the proposed converter.

Higher frequency of energy transfer or at least energy conversion has to be used in order to reduce the size of inductors and capacitors required in the power supplies. Conventional PWM switching-mode power supplies have a limitation of operating frequency due to switching losses in the switching transistors and rectifier diodes. Means of reducing switching losses have been developed for high-frequency resonant amplifiers or more exactly dc/ac inverters. Because of smooth current and voltage waveforms resonant convertesrs havelower device switching losses and stresses lower electromagnetic interference(EMI) and lower noise than PWM converters. Therefore in this paper design equations of Classs E resonant low dv/dt rectifier with a series resonant capacitor drived using Fourier series techniques. The theory is compared with simulation results obtained for the rectifier operating at 10[MHz] ac input and 5[V] coutput.

The new system for identification of organic vapours and analysis method of mechanism between organic vapours and sensitive materials were attempted using the resonant resistance and resonant frequency of Quartz Crystal Analyzer (Q. C. A.). The resonant resistance shift means rheological changes in sensitive LB films occurred by the adsorption of organic vapours, while the resonant frequency shift represent the mass of organic vapour loaded in or on the sensitive LB films. It is thought that we can obtain more accurate response mechanism of organic vapour using the resonant frequency and resonant resistance diagram. The polymeric sensitive material were quantitively depositied using the LB method. In the experimental results, the adsorption behavior of organic vapour response can be decided by two type ; surface adsorption and penetration into sensitive material. Organic vapours had different positions in the Frequency-Resistance (F-R) diagram as to the kinds and concentrations of organic vapours. Thus F-R diagram can be applied to the development of one channel gas sensing system using the Quartz Crystal Analyzer.
In the buck-boost DC-DC converter which is used at a certain situation such as in factories where loads often change a lot, the switches in the device make big energy loss in operating at Buck-Boost Mode due to hard switching and are affected by lots of stresses which decrease the efficiency rate of the converter. In order to improve this problem, to decrease the loss of snubber and switching, it has been investigated that zero voltage switching mode and zero current switching mode which make the operation of switches with soft switching. For the more sophisticated and advanced device, this paper is presented the Partial Resonant Soft Switching Mode Power Converter which is adapted the power converter having the partial resonant soft switching mode, that makes switches operate when the resonant current or voltage becomes zero by making the resonant circuit partially at turning on and off of the switches with suitable layout of the resonant elements and switch elements in the converter. Also, this paper includes the analysis and simulation of the Partial Resonant type Buck-Boost Chopper.
Resonant converters have several salient features such as high efficiency and low noise. Therefore, ZVS-PWM controlled series resonant converter with active-clamp technique is presented. The combination of an active-clamp technique and resonant circuit makes it possible to control the output voltage of the resonant converter with PWM. This new resonant converter was implemented and has achieved a good controllability. In this paper, the normal load characteristics and abnormal voltage increase in the case of the light load are analyzed. As a result, it is clarified that the stray capacitance of the transformer is a cause of the abnormal voltage increase. Then, it is confirmed that the abnormal voltage increase is suppressed by decreasing the duty ratio. ZVS condition is analyzed. The maximum efficiency of 89% is obtained for the output of 10V and 5A.

In this paper, charging modes of series resonant converter for a high voltage energy storage capacitor are compared in terms of charging time, peak resonant current, normalized peak resonant current and voltage in each operation mode. Operating principles of the full bridge series resonant converter with capacitor load are explained and analyzed in discontinuous and continuous operation mode. Based on the analysis and simulation result, $0.6{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $0.75{\omega}_r$ and $1.3{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $1.4{\omega}_r$ are evaluated to the best range of switching frequency for charging of an high voltage energy storage capacitor. 1.8 kJ/s SRC prototype is assembled with TI 28335 DSP controller and 40 kJ, 7 kV energy storage capacitor. Design rules based on the comparative analysis are verified by experiment.
This paper proposed that an Analysis of a partial resonant AC-DC converter for high power and power factor operates with four choppers connecting to a number of parallel circuit. To improve these, a large number of soft switching topologies included a resonant circuit have been proposed. And, some simulative results on computer are included to confirm the validity of the analytical results. The partial resonant circuit makes use of an inductor using step-down and a condenser of lose-less snubber. The result is that the switching loss is very low and the efficiency of system is high. And the snubber condenser used in a partial resonant circuit makes charging energy regenerated at input power source for resonant operation. The proposed conversion system is deemed the most suitable for high power applications where the power switching devices are used
