In this research paper, we study on how to decrease the high vibration of turbine hood casings which are main facilities of power generation industry. Cause of Standard coal-fired power 500MW facilities turbine hoods' high vibration is that Natural frequency of hood casing designed in near domain frequency, when they are making hoods. We investigate to reduce high vibration at hood casing. We use FEM method to found how to avoid resonance, and test to confirm that our FEM result. We Finally attach minium mass plate at hood casing to avoid resonance and high vibration reduce lower $100{\mu}m$.
In the industrial motor drive systems, a shaft torsional vibration is often generated when a motor and a load are connected with a flexible shaft. This paper treats the vibration suppression control of this system. The resonance ratio control is proposed for suppressing the torsional vibration. In this paper, first, the optimal resonance ratio is sellected and the controller to the resonance ratio controlled outward plant is designed based on $H_{\infty}$ control theory. Secondly, the two-degree-of-freedom controller, which includes the above $H_{\infty}$ controller, is designed in order to improve the tracking characteristics for the commanded speed. The control performances are examined by the computer simulations and it is clarified that the proposed speed control system is useful for two-mass system.

Compensation characteristics or active filters based on voltage detection are investigated. These active filters act equivalently as a passive circuit so that they may not cause practical problems such as stimulation of resonance in the distribution lines. Thus, these active filters can be used as the general-purpose active filters. On the other hand, these active filters may have a possibility of the anti-resonance associated with the line inductance of the distribution lines. In this paper, the relationship between the anti-resonance and the control parameters of the proposed active filters is clarified. Some methods to avoid the problems due to the anti-resonance are investigated. Experimental results are included to confirm the validity of the investigation presented in this paper.
This paper provides a comprehensive study on the Sommerfeld phenomena in an asymmetric rotor with a nonideal power supply. An analytical approach is employed by deriving the equations of motion in a nondimensional form. The system parameters, including the asymmetry, external and internal damping, and motor power, are chosen to find their effects on the characteristics of the Sommerfeld phenomena and critical behavior around resonance. Results show that the rotor asymmetry suppresses the Sommerfeld phenomena and helps pass through resonance if the asymmetry is small. However, it is observed that the opposite effects exist in case of a large asymmetry. It is also found that the effects of external damping on the Sommerfeld phenomena are similar to those of the asymmetry, whereas internal damping has less effects than external damping and the asymmetry. By performing numerical simulations, four types of critical behavior are identified from the viewpoints of the stability and the passage through resonance.
Pediatric pancreatitis is not uncommon and results in considerable morbidity and mortality in the affected children. Unlike adults, pediatric pancreatitis is more frequently associated with underlying structural abnormalities, trauma, and drugs rather than an idiopathic etiology. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is a good imaging modality for evaluating pancreatitis and determining etiology without exposure to radiation. This article focuses on MRCP findings associated with various causes of pancreatitis in children, particularly structural abnormalities of the pancreaticobiliary system, as well as describing the feasibility, limitations, and solutions associated with pediatric MRCP.
The direction of the cutting tool plays a critical role in elliptical vibration cutting(EVC) where the cutting tool cuts workpiece in a trochoidal motion. In this study, EVC cutting device was developed using two parallel piezoelectric materials and it was observed that the rotation direction of the tool reverses as the EVC device undergoes resonance at which either flexural(cutting direction) or longitudinal( thrust direction) mode shapes occurs. To analytically explain reversal of the rotation direction, kinematic motion analysis of the tool was modified to incorporate amplification of the vibration amplitude and phase introduced by resonance. It successfully demonstrated, through Matlab simulation, reversal of the rotation direction of the cutting tool as the excitation frequency increases beyond resonance frequencies at which either flexural or longitudinal vibration occurs.
Power system restoration following a wide area or complete blackout starts with energizing primary restorative transmission systems. During this primary restoration process, unexpected over-voltage may happen due to nonlinear interaction between the unloaded transformer and the transmission system. This is known as the harmonic resonance phenomenon that may cause burning out of transformer or other devices. Since the harmonic resonance originates from the nonlinear characteristics, it is very difficult to predict the occurrence of this phenomenon. This paper reports the possible existence of the harmonic resonance in Korean power system. Analysis of the harmonic over-voltage is presented based on the various simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC.
Silicon nitride thin film (SiNx) was deposited onto the 3inch silicon wafer using an electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma apparatus. The thin films which were deposited by changing the SiH4N2 gas flow rate ratio at 1.5mTorr without substrate heating were analyzed through the x-ray photo spectroscopy (XPS) and ellipsometer measurements, etc. Silicon nitride thin films prepared by the electron cyclotron resonance plasma chemical vapor deposition method at low substrate temperature (<10$0^{\circ}C$) exhibited excellent physical and electrical properties. The very uniform and good quality silicon nitride thin films were obtained. The characteristics of electron cyclotron resonance plasma were inferred from the analyzed results of the deposited films.
Vibrations of the tower structures of 750kW and 6kW wind turbines(WT) are investigated by measurement and analysis. Acceleration responses of the WT towers under various operation condition are monitored in real time by the remote monitoring system using LabVIEW. Using the monitoring system, resonance condition of the tower structures is diagnosed with the wind speed data within the operating speed range. To predict the tower resonance frequency, 750 kW tower is modeled as an equivalent beam with a lumped mass and Rayleigh energy method is applied. For 6 kW WT, Rayleigh-Ritz analysis is carried out on the tower-cable coupled system. Calculated tower bending frequency is in good agreement with the measured value. Using the analysis model, parametric study is available in order to prevent the severe resonance.
When the train running on the high-speed track, there is a speed band which track distortion is unusually increased according to the condition of track and roadbed. This speed is called critical velocity and physical parameter values are increased greatly. These phenomenon happened as high-speed train were developed, studied regularly through TGV 100 running test in France. As research result until now, the main reason is soft roadbed's bearing capacity. Wave propagation and track support capacity is varied by the ground characteristics. This paper achieved theoretical examination about resonance band(speed and frequency) that occurred in roadbed on the base rock in point of geotechnical engineering. The examination of resonance divides with ground response analysis, critical band analysis by the shear wave velocity of roadbed and train critical speed through the ground stratum.
