This study conducted a survey on 290 employees in 6 theme western restaurants, proposing differences in the menu planning of western food enterprises based on the factors that influence on the inside and outside of western restaurants as well as the theme industries in order to clear up the characteristics peculiar to and factors related to the menu planning of western food enterprises. The results are as follows. According to the results, even with same foodservice industries, they have to search for their own exclusive menu from a marketing aspect because of the full of ups and downs based on the dealing items: for six western restaurants by theme, it showed that there is a significant difference in marketing factors. Particularly, they have to plan these points- considered menu, given that general flavor is the most important point, followed by environment or atmosphere and service. In the result, it should not only apply the developed menu according to industries and dealing items differently, but also arrange a comfortable atmosphere and kind services, centering on health food in the select menu of mid and low prices verified above, through a sufficient location survey in advance and a firm preparation accompanied by consumers.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of theme centered block play on young children's metacognition and sociality. The subjects of this research were a total of 60 five year old children from two classes in Gwangju. The average age of the subjects was 73 months. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups. The experimental group participated in theme centered block play activities while the control group participated in free block activities. The collected data were analyzed by t-test using the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows: The experimental group showed significantly higher improvement than the control group in young children's metacognition and sociality. Therefor, it might be concluded that theme centered block play activities contributed to the development of metacognition and sociality of young children.

We investigated the user behavior of the theme display provided by the public libraries as an active information service. Specifically, we wanted to study the library patrons' library use behavior and perception. There were in-depth interviews with seven librarians and eight patrons to develop a set of research questions and the questionnaire. We conducted the survey with 232 patrons then the statistical analysis. The analysis result revealed that the theme display helped the patrons' wider use of the library resources and also positively affected patrons' perception on the librarians as well as the evaluation of the library services. Based on the findings, we recommended the active incorporation of the theme display within the limitation of the libraries' facility and patrons' interests.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to describe the emotional labor experiences of ward nurses in Korea. Methods: The data were collected through focus group interviews with seven ward nurses. The phenomenological analytic method suggested by Colaizzi was used to analyze the data. Results: Four theme clusters and eleven themes emerged from the analysis. The first theme cluster, 'Terrible working environment' includes changes in the health environment and realities of nursing organization. The second theme cluster, 'Suppressed feelings' includes institutionalized power trip, patient-centered emotion management and burning. The third theme cluster, 'Tired body and mind' includes withdrawal, wounded self-esteem, burnout and turnover desicion. The fourth theme cluster, 'Want to be comforted' includes emotional control and wishing to live as a nurse. Conclusions: The findings of this study provide an understanding of the emotional labor experiences of ward nurses to explain their perceptions and language. The essence of the emotional labor of ward nurses is a negative working environment created by increased competition in the healthcare industry and the nature of nursing organization, and as a result their quality of life has fallen.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the theme collection service in public library from the user's perspective. To this end, based on prior research, the effect elements of the theme collection were derived from the service use, librarian, and library level. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 294 users of A public library. The collection satisfaction of users who know the theme collection was higher than those who did not, and showed high recognition for the satisfaction with the use of new and unexpected books. In addition, it was found that the positive recognition tended to be high among users who have been using the library for a long time and frequently use the library service. Based on the users' perception and evaluation of the theme collection, the direction of development of the theme collection service was suggested in terms of collection development, collection use and information service, user-centered classification, and awareness improvement of libraries and librarians.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the components and nature of happiness in middle-aged women in Korea. Methods: Thirty middle-aged women living in metropolitan Seoul and Gyeonggi and Chungcheong provinces agreed to participate in this study. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with the participants in one-on-one settings. The data were analyzed qualitative using Colaizzi's method of phenomenology. Results: The three theme clusters were extracted from the raw data, along with 13 themes and 138 meaningful sentences and phrases. The three happiness theme clusters in middle-aged women were "live healthy for stability," "rule one's mind for harmony," and "activate hopes for self-esteem." The first theme cluster included healthy life, economic stability, physical youth, and positive thought. The second theme cluster included that harmonious family, ruling of mind, my position as invisible person in social relationships, and precious relationships to support. The last theme included the center of one's life is oneself, a sense of accomplishment, self-improvement, recognition of one's worth and rest for one self. The three theme clusters were associated with the existence, relatedness, and growth (ERG) of ERG areas, respectively. Conclusions: We conclude that the core components of happiness in middle-aged women are to live healthy and mind-ruled and activate hope. The nature of happiness is egocentric stability in middle-aged women. The results suggest that theme clusters might be used to develop a scale for measuring happiness in middle-aged women. This will be helpful to assess the psychosocial status of middle-aged women in Korea.

The regional development methods, which had carried out in the rural area had many legal and systematic problems in establishing plans for the region itself, and in finding and practicing various business. Recently, new government revised the budget system and introduced the block grants system to overcome this limitation. Due to this, plans and enforcements of subsequent rural development projects are expected be a significant change. The study suggests the 'theme cluster development' method for accomplishing the regional specialization and competitiveness and examines the procedure of application in practice through the regional development plan of Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk province.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the process of exercise adherence in middle aged women. Methods: The qualitative theme analysis method was used. The participants were 11 middle-aged women who had exercised over 6 months. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and recorded by and transcribed immediately. The data were coded with similar meaning and analysis themes with the constant comparative method. Results: The core theme was Stepping Stones Across the Stream (SSAS). The Stone means the adherence factors in exercise. The stream means the interrupting factors in exercise adherence. The subcategories were 1) feeling of developmental crisis, 2) searching for exit (from the developmental crisis), 3) finding a surprising new world (full of fun), 4) confronting the situation of dropout, and 5) adherence to exercise by SSAS. Conclusion: The predisposition of fun in middle aged women for the adherence of exercise should be explored along with more adherent factors.

This study was conducted to review strategic and effective utilization plans and suggest desirable development plans, taking into account the cultural and social values and ideologies of the local government's OSMU strategy and regional economic goals. To this end, the concept and characteristics of OSMU, domestic and international success cases were reviewed, and analyzed the detailed strategies, development results and achievements of Hong Gil-dong theme park in Jangseong-gun, and Simcheong theme park in Gokseong-gun. As a result of these analyses, first, it was confirmed that the Hong Gil-dong theme park and the Simcheong theme park were rational and justifiable choices that emphasized locality and publicity, the core of the local government's OSMU strategy. Second, it was confirmed that while Hong Gil-dong theme park achieved more stable and successful results, Simcheong theme park had poor achievement without utilizing the excellence and valuable goals of the original contents. Therefore, in order to achieve sustainable development while harmoniously satisfying the publicity and profitability, ideology and effectiveness, justification and economics of OSMU strategies of local governments, various research, reflection and work must be continuously carried out.
