This study explores the impact of a STEM integration teacher professional development program focusing on teachers' perception of engineering and their attitudes toward integrating engineering into teaching. A total of sixty-eight teachers from ten schools participated in the program for five days. Data are collected from three main sources including (1) pre and post concept maps probing teachers' perceptions about the engineering discipline, (2) a pre and post survey measuring teachers' self-efficacy of teaching science/mathematics within the engineering context, and (3) engineering integrated science and (or) mathematics lesson plans and teaching reflections. This study utilizes both qualitative and quantitative research methods depending on the data we have collected. The results show that both science and math teachers thought that integrating engineering into teaching provided valuable outcomes, i.e., promoting students' learning about engineering and improving their interest in science or math through real-world problem solving exercises. Participants also felt more comfortable about integrating engineering in their teaching after the program. The results also imply that the teachers' understandings of engineering become more concrete after the program. This study also provides an overview of the challenges and advantages of teaching engineering in K-12 science and mathematics classrooms.

The purpose of this study was to develop the couple relationship improvement program for college students and to examine the effects of the program based on the family of origin and attachment. Does based on Bowen's theory of differentiation of self, adult attachment, group counseling for this and establishes program goals according to systematic group counseling program development model and composed program. In order to attain like this research objective, six male and female couples attending colleges were divided into the participating group and comparison group; the students were from H University in Daejeon, Korea, and they had the experience of participating in the comprehensive group program. The changes shown by the couples were studied, and the cases were analyzed by examining the minutes and reports, which supplemented the quantitative analysis of the effectiveness of the group counseling program. The analysis of the effectiveness of the program showed the following. The case showed that goals of the individuals and couples, enhancing the understanding of self and partners by understanding the self-differentiation and adult attachment while having a positive impact on understanding, acceptance, disclosure of self partner and couple relationship based on the social support of the cognitive emotion regulation strategies.

Industrial Technology Development Program enables the recipient to set up technology infrastructure and to facilitate technology diffusion. In return, government charges royalty from the program recipient. However, the current royalty system is not in the effective form. This study analyzes the various aspects of royalty collection methods applied to the Industrial Technology Development Program and recommend the following: (1) employ the combination of fixed amount royalty and running royalty with predetermined portion of revenue generated, (2) adjust the royalty collection duration by applying product life cycle, and (3) devise new program to link extra-gain from royalty collection with commercialization and other means to increase the effectiveness of research and development activities.

The purpose of this study is to develop home economics educational programs on the theme of 'improving consumer life' for sustainable development. It is a program to enhance the changemaker mindset for responsible production and consumption among the 17 goals of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). The program was developed 8 that to make solar cookers, make household goods from recycled materials, change maker-practice green life, eco-friendly journal 1, plastic warnings, design alternatives for disposable products, change maker-efforts and eco-friendly journal 2. The developed program was validated 3 times by a group of experts and students. This program has the following features. First, the Home Economics Education(HEE) program under the theme of 'Improving consumer life' for sustainable development are carried out at the stage of change-maker education with project-based process. It can improve students' collaboration skills, self-directed skills, communication skills and problem solving skills. Second, eight programs can increase understanding and interest in sustainable development, and learners are interested in social issues. This program can raise learners who play an active role in solving social problems by increasing their interest and interest in the class, free from the form of passive classes. Third, the HEE programs under the theme of 'Improving consumer life' for sustainable development are meaningful in that they are closely related to students' lives and encourage them to practice in their own lives. Fourth, since the program is well-suited to the present time and includes content elements for sustainable development, it can induce changes in learners' perceptions, attitudes and behaviors.

Background: Gastric cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death. It has a poor prognosis with only 5-10% of hereditary etiology. If it is diagnosed, it could be helpful for screening the other susceptible members of a family for preventive procedures. Usually it is identified by symptoms such as presence of cancer in different members of family, some special type of pathology such as diffused adenocarcinoma, having younger age and multiple cancer syndromes. Hence, designing a registry program can be a more practical way to screen high risk families for a preventive program. Materials and Methods: Based on the inclusion criteria, a questionnaire was prepared. After pilot on a small number of patients, the actual data was collected from 197 patients and processed in SPSS 16.0. Results: Totally, 11.8% of the patients were younger than 45 years old. Blood type 'A' was dominant and males had a higher risk behavior with higher consumption of unhealthy food. Adenocarcinoma was reported in majority of cases. 21.8% of the patients had the including criteria for familial gastric cancer (FGC). Conclusions: The high percentage of FGC population compared to the other studies have revealed a need to design an infrastructural diagnostic protocol and screening program for patients with FGC, plus preventive program for family members at risk which could be done by a precise survey related to frequency and founder mutations of FGC in a national registry program.

The purpose of this study is to develope, implement, evaluate of premarital education programs. Based on the need assessment and systemic, developmental, and feministic perspectives, this study developed several formats of premarital education programs such as the enrich program, book and internet site. The enrichment program was implemented for 13 couples, and revealed good evaluation of the general outcomes. Recommendations for future research and implementation of family life education were added.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a remarriage preparation program. Based on the system theory, strong family perspective, care & justice perspectives, and empirical research in this field,4 session remarriage preparation program is developed. Target population of this program is persons who remarry and persons who marry with remarried partner This program is evaluated in terms of the level of remarriage preparation and level of changing attitude after education in terms of self-esteem, cognition & knowledge of parent behavior in the remarried family, object evaluation of their future remarriage life. Future research, theoretical and practical implications are added.

As part of developmental research of a student-teaching practicum program, this research analyzed a mathematics preservice teacher's questioning. The practicum program is based on the model of reflective practice in a collaborative inquiry community for learning-to-teach. This paper describes how a preservice teacher's questioning pattern had changed on the program participation and explain how the change in discourse can be considered as an indicator for the pre service teacher's professional development. Suggestions for the future program development are discussed.

This paper describes a measurement & verification scheme for the high efferent lighting program in Demand Side Management (DSM), which was Introduced in the beginning of the 1980's in Korea With the dramatic changes in the circumstance of power industry in Korea. It is required the reviewing for the existing process of DSM programs and the development of the new process methods/standards on the evaluation of DSM programs. To design an accurate evaluation scheme for the high efficient lighting program. In this paper, we develop an evaluation prototype for the high efficient lighting program using measurements and stipulated factors. The proposed scheme is tested by practical measurements and modified stipulated factors Results from the case studios show the proposed scheme could provide the practical performance evaluation results with promising accuracy.

The main purpose of Korea Space Launch Vehicle II(KSLV-II) Program is to develop a domestic launch vehicle that can deliver a 1.5ton class application satellite into a Low Earth Orbit(600~800km). The data management is an essential factor in systems engineering for success of large-scale complex systems development, and it systematically manages the information and technical data for the total life-cycle of a system. In this paper, data management policies and processes on KSLV-II program are presented, and product life-cycle management system for KSLV-II program is also presented.
