  • Purpose: This study was conducted to design and implement a fundamental nursing practice based on flipped learning and to examine the effects. Methods: Participants were 57 students who were taking the fundamental nursing practice course at D university in N city. The study included processes of instructional design, action/effects and reflection. Data were analyzed using paired t-test with the SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: In the instructional design stage, the class consisted of 3 parts: outside class (pre-learning), inside class (assessment, collaborative practice, peer review, reflection), after-class (self-directed practice, feedback). In the action/effects stage, the flipped learning was applied for 15 weeks according to the instructional design and then the effects of flipped learning were evaluated. Students showed a significant improvement in self-directed learning ability (t=-3.56, p=.001) and critical thinking disposition after the class (t=-3.72, p<.001). Finally, in the reflection stage, the researchers examined whether the four pillars of flipped learning occurred. Conclusion: Findings indicate that flipped learning applied in fundamental nursing practice is effective in improving self-directed learning ability and critical thinking disposition. The action research method was a useful way to foster professor's educational competency as well as to verify effects of a new nursing education method.

  • The purpose of the study is to establish sustainability evaluation items that can be applied to enhance clothing sustainability practice. The sustainability evaluation items related to clothing by product category, use, and disposal were derived through literature review. In order to evaluate the validity of the derived evaluation items, preliminary survey and two questionnaires were conducted for experts, and the importance and the possibility of change were measured. As a result, 39 evaluation items were constructed. Among the 39 evaluation items, 26 items related to the use and disposal were evaluated for 10 weeks in the 20s and 30s female consumers in terms of practice. The results of the study are as follows: First, items that have a high degree of importance and possibility of change are the items that can minimize resource saving, recycling, and the emission of harmful substances. Second, the participants' perceptions, attitudes, and outcomes of practicing the evaluation items of the use and disposal phase were proved to be positively affected, and the possibility of reducing resource saving and environmental impacts was proved. The clothing sustainability practice played a positive and developmental role in real life, while changing from small things to pursuing newness. The vagueness of sustainability was changed to specific perceptions and behaviors through the practice of the evaluation items.

  • This study was performed to find out how to improve the usefulness and effectiveness of the field practice program in Library and Information Science by diagnosing the practical instructor's perception of the overall field practice in the Library and Information Science. To achieve this goal, we conducted a research on the current situation and a measurement in perception of the field practice program through a survey of practical instructors at practical training institutions. We, then, analyzed the factors affecting the perception and examined the relationship between the effects. As a result of investigating the factors affecting the perception of field practice, 'operational accountability for the field practice program' was found to be a significant factor among other factors such as the general characteristics of the practical instructors, the characteristics of library related work and the field practice status of the practical training institutions. And factors of 'practice environment' and 'practice instruction method' have been identified to have a significant impact as a result of analyzing how the six factors constituting the perception of field practice effect on the overall perception of field practice of the practical instructors.

  • The main purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the fathering practice on children's sociality. The subjects of this research are 569 (grade 6) students who are from 4 elementary schools, and 511 (grade 3) students who are from 4 other middle schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. The data was collected using two kinds of questionnaires: Canfield's (1995) Fathering Practice Scale and Urn Guy-Sung's (1999) Children's Sociality Scale. The data was analyzed by frequency, mean, standard deviation, percentage, Cronbach's alpha, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's post hoc test, and hierarchical regression. The major results of this research are summarized as follows: First, there were differences in children's sociality according to children's and fathers' perceptions of the fathering practices. I classified 1080 students into 4 groups by mean${\pm}$1/2standard deviation of the children's and fathers' perceptions of the fathering practices. The results showed that children's sociality tends to be higher when the children's perceptions of the fathering practice are at a high level (Group 1 and Group 2), compared to when the fathers' perceptions of the fathering practice are at a high level (Group 3 and Group 4). Second, hierarchical regression was divided into two models so as to know how the effects were different from the children's and fathers' perceptions of the fathering practice on children's sociality. In the first model, only the fathers' variables were inputted and fathers' perceptions on fathering practice has significant effects on children's sociality. In the second model, both the children and fathers' variables were inputted into analysis. The fathers' perceptions of the fathering practice were not influenced, but children's perceptions of the fathering practice had great effects on children's sociality. Third, as the result of hierarchical regression with age, mid-childhood has significant effects on children's perceptions of the fathering practice on children's sociality. In addition, early adolescence is an important variable in the effects of the fathers' perceptions of the fathering practice on children's sociality. As a result the fathers' perceptions of the fathering practice are important and influential variables on children's sociality. In the result of this study fathering practice is necessary in children's development.

Questionnaires were gathered from 42 chairmans of the Department of Food and Nutrition and 140 Present dieticians worked in Seoul, Bucheon am Seongnam area. The results are as follows, First, as a whole, each college had 2~3 experimental laboratory (Lab), in which Cooking Science Lab. Chemistry Lab and Microbiology Lab were occurred at higher frequency as Lab's name. Second, the numbers per experimental-practice class were more than 40 at most colleges. 85% of Present dieticians have answered to feel too much numbers per the class during their college days, whereas professors' opinions toward the numbers per class were suitable at 20~30 persons per class. Third, professors' opinion toward the adquate ratio of the theory subject classes to experimental subject classes was suitable at 60 : 40. Dieticians answered to take the theory subject classes partly or mostly on behalf of the experimental-practice classes. Fourth, the main reasons which inhibited normal experimental-practice class were the class for emphasis on examination, the shortage of experiment budget, the excess of class members, the shortage of experimental Lab Also, this results showed same propensity to present dieticians' opinion toward the same question above. Fifth, among the experimenta1-practice subjects established at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Diet Therapy Lab was highest frequency class emphasized on theory followed by Nutrition Counselling Lab, Food Processing and Storage Lab, Food Hygiene Lab and Food Microbiology Lab in that order. Here, Basic Chemistry Lab, Biochemistry Lab, Food Microbiology Lab were pointed as subjects far from the present task of dieticians. Sixth, Department of Food and Nutrition, as a whole, has conferred with spot-practice arrangement About 50% (all who want to join spot-practice) of second year students took part in spot-practice. In the other way, all colleges except for 2 colleges didn't give the credit for the spot-practice system. Seventh, according to the on analysis on spot-practice places, manufacturing company was at highest frequcney followed by hospitals, elementary school having group feeding system in that order. Especially, 16.7% (5 colleges) of the total colleges sent the students to the research institute related to food industry for spot-practice experience. Eighth, Professors' opinions toward the spot-practice time and period were preferable on summer vacation of second year and for 1~2 weeks, respectively. On the contrary, 74 dieticians answered to the adquate period as for 4 weeks.
