A systematic support system that develops technology support policies for SMEs (Small and Medium sized Enterprises) and solves technical problems faced by SMEs will increase the productivity and competitiveness of SMEs. To this end, it is necessary to identify the types and level of technology required for SMEs, and to find ways to utilize the technologies possessed by government-funded research institutes leading technology development. It is important to develop a new production technology and to establish a cooperation system between SMEs and government- funded research institutes to solve various pending problems.

This paper seeks to search a improved evaluation system of government sponsored research institutes(GSRI) as a knowledge system It begins with a brief review of the theory of knowledge and knowledge system This is followed by a search of the desirable conditions of the evaluation system of GSRI as a knowledge system These conditions presented are applied within the context of the current evaluation system of GSRI. Finally conclusions are drawn and directions for improvement of the system are outlined.

Hypoxia in solid tumors is known to contribute to intrinsic chemoresistance. Tirapazamine(TPZ). a hypoxia-selective cytotoxin. showed synergism with radiation or cytotoxic agents. Paclitaxel(PTX) is a highly active anti-cancer agent against Non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), however. due to poor penetration into central hypoxic region of tumor tissue. combination with TPZ has been suggested to enhance its efficacy. Cyclooxygenase-2 ( COX-2 ) is an inducible enzyme which produces prostanoids by various stimuli. Overexpression of COX-2 in many tumor types indicates its association with tumor progression, which has been a promising target for chemoprevention and chemomodulation. We studied conc- and time-dependency of COX-2 inhibition, growth inhibition, and cell cycle arrest induced by celecoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor, in human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells. This paper deals mainly with chemical and biological investigations, recently effected in the authors' laboratory, of Chinese tropical marine plants and invertebrates on three topics: 1) an unusual macrocyclic polydisulfide from the Chinese mangrove Bruguiera gymnorrhiza; 2) polyhydroxylpolyene compounds from marine dinoflagellate Amphidinium sp.; 3) two new series of uncommon steroids from marine in vertebrates.

ZD1839 is a new anticancer agent which selectively inhibits EGFR tyrosine kinase. Oxaliplatin (LOHP), 5-FU (FU), and paclitaxel (PTX) have shown to be highly active against the gastric carcinomas. and ZD1839 is considered as a good candidate for the treatment of gastric cancers when combined with cytotoxic agents. In this study, we evaluated the antitumor effects of these agents in SNU-l human gastric cancer cells either alone or when given as a doublet. (omitted)

Mitochondria are cytosolic organelles essential for generating energy and maintaining cell homeostasis. Despite their critical function, the handful of proteins expressed by the mitochondrial genome is insufficient to maintain mitochondrial structure or activity. Accordingly, mitochondrial metabolism is fully dependent on factors encoded by the nuclear DNA, including many proteins synthesized in the cytosol and imported into mitochondria via established mechanisms. However, there is growing evidence that mammalian mitochondria can also import cytosolic noncoding RNA via poorly understood processes. Here, we summarize our knowledge of mitochondrial RNA, discuss recent progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms and functional impact of RNA import into mitochondria, and identify rising challenges and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.

본 논문에서는 사이버 침해 위협 빈도가 점점 증가하고 있는 정부출연연구기관의 정보보안 현황 및 문제점을 조사하여 정보보안에 대한 중요성을 강조하고, 정부출연연구기관 간의 정보보안 비교분석을 통해 개선방안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해 정부출연연구기관의 정보보안 정책, 조직, 예산 등 정보보안과 관련된 데이터를 바탕으로 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 제안하여 향후 정부출연연구기관의 안정적인 정보보안 인프라 구축 기반을 마련하는데 기여하고자 한다.
