비상발전기 통합제어 및 감시시스템 개발 (Development of an Integrated Control and Monitoring System for Emergency Power Generators)

  • These days, most of electric power facilities need high stability. Therefore integrated system has been required to monitor and control electronic power distribution system in fields at all times when the interruption of electric power has occurred. To construct this system, unit that convert and process the input signal from fields needed. And for control and monitoring from remote place MMI software is required. Lastly network equipments are required for real-time communications. So, in this paper, units for control and monitoring of emergency power generator and for electric power monitoring in normal electric power and interruption of electric power are developed. Also integrated remote system for monitoring in remote is developed.

이동식 플랫폼에서 발사되는 비행체의 날개 전개 공력 하중에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aerodynamic Loads of a Deploying Wing Launched from a Mobile Platform)

  • In this study, a aerodynamic loads prediction to design a deploying device of folded fin was introduced. In general, resultant flow conditions around the fin are used to obtain deploying moments and required energy. However, when it comes to the air vehicles launched from a mobile platform, more specific flow conditions can be provided. With the conditions, the design criteria can be calculated more realistically. In this study, therefore, aerodynamic moments induced by aerodynamic loads and energy required in deployment were calculated using wind-over-deck(WOD) velocity, combination of a platform velocity and a wind velocity. For the calculation, wind tunnel test was conducted on various angle of attack, side slip angles, and folding angles. It was found that the aerodynamic moments and the energy required in deployment using the non-uniform flow due to the velocity components were less than those using the uniform flow without the components.

  • The development of CG technology throughout the 2000s brought about a significant growth in the animation market. This phenomenon led to an increase in the number of people required by related industries, which led to an increase in the number of related majors in universities. CG application technologies are becoming more common with the advent of YouTube and virtual YouTubers, but high technology is still required for students to get a job. This situation is not easy to include both technological and creative skills in the college animation curriculum. In order to increase students' creativity, we need a lot of production experience, which requires a lot of knowledge and time if we only use tools like Maya and 3D Max. In this paper, We tried to devote more time to storytelling by minimizing the technical process required for production and proceeding with repetitive or difficult processes for content creation using third-party programs. And through the 12-week class, the experimental production process was applied to the process from planning to completion of animation works that students would submit to the advertisement contest.

Brief Paper: An Analysis of Curricula for Data Science Undergraduate Programs

  • Today, it is imperative to educate students on how to best prepare themselves for the new data driven era of the future. Undergraduate education plays an important role in providing students with more Data Science opportunities and expanding the supply of Data Science talent. This paper surveys and analyzes the curricula of Data Science-related bachelor's degree programs in the United States. The 'required' and 'elective' courses in a curriculum for obtaining a B.S. degree were evaluated by course weight to indicate its necessity. As a result, it was possible to find out which courses were important in Data Science programs and which areas were emphasized for B.S. degrees in Data Science. We found that courses belong to the Data Science area, such as data management, data visualization, and data modeling, were more required for Data Science B.S. degrees in the United States.

  • As the design environment of domestic infrastructure facilities shifts from a traditional co-work office system to a virtual digital co-work office, a CDE collaboration platform is required to build a digital co-work office suitable for the domestic design environment. In addition, a number of large multinational projects requiring collaboration from domestic and foreign construction companies are ordered, and procedures for performing tasks based on international standards such as ISO 19650 are required, so preparation for domestic designers is required. Therefore, this study aims to derive CDE requirements for the development of an ISO 19650-based CDE collaboration platform suitable for domestic design environments, and derived Korean CDE requirements based on ISO 19650 series and overseas CDE cases.

SUMO pathway is required for ribosome biogenesis

  • Ribosomes, acting as the cellular factories for protein production, are essential for all living organisms. Ribosomes are composed of both proteins and RNAs and are established through the coordination of several steps, including transcription, maturation of ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and assembly of ribosomal proteins. In particular, diverse factors required for ribosome biogenesis, such as transcription factors, small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA)-associated proteins, and assembly factors, are tightly regulated by various post-translational modifications. Among these modifications, small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO) targets lots of proteins required for gene expression of ribosomal proteins, rRNA, and snoRNAs, rRNA processing, and ribosome assembly. The tight control of SUMOylation affects functions and locations of substrates. This review summarizes current studies and recent progress of SUMOylation-mediated regulation of ribosome biogenesis.

무인전투차량 요구사항분석 연구: 원격통제 및 자율주행 중심으로 (A Study on Requirement Analysis of Unmanned Combat Vehicles: Focusing on Remote-Controlled and Autonomous Driving Aspect)

  • Remote-controlled and autonomous driving based on artificial intelligence are key elements required for unmanned combat vehicles. The required capability of such an unmanned combat vehicle should be expressed in reasonable required operational capability(ROC). To this end, in this paper, the requirements of an unmanned combat vehicle operated under a manned-unmanned teaming were analyzed. The functional requirements are remote operation and control, communication, sensor-based situational awareness, field environment recognition, autonomous return, vehicle tracking, collision prevention, fault diagnosis, and simultaneous localization and mapping. Remote-controlled and autonomous driving of unmanned combat vehicles could be achieved through the combination of these functional requirements. It is expected that the requirement analysis results presented in this study will be utilized to satisfy the military operational concept and provide reasonable technical indicators in the system development stage.

비대칭급확대채널의 층류유동 및 열전달 해석 (Analysis of Laminar Flow and Heat Transfer in Asymmetric, Sudden Expansion Channel)

  • This analysis of numerical procedure is prediction of laminar flow and heat transfer at two dimension and steady flow in asymmetric sudden expansion channel. At former study, to analyse the flows with separation, the full Navier-Stokes equation is used, but there are many difficulties to analyse, and although significant progress has been made in the development of efficient computational methods for the Navier-Stokes equations, very large computation times are still required. In case of reward-facing flow, boundary-layer equation is used instead of full Navier-Stokes equation to analyse velocity fields, and result of this numerical analysis is good agreement with the given experimental study. In this case, since the computer time required for the boundary-layer calculation is an order of magnitude less than required for the solution of the full Navier-Stokes equation, this boundary-layer model provides a good approximate solution.

The United States System for Training of Gastroenterologists in Oncology

  • Competency for practicing gastroenterology in the United States requires accredited training in Internal Medicine, followed by accredited training in gastroenterology and hepatology. The structured training encompasses a 3-year period after graduation with a medical degree for internal medicine, followed by a 3-year period for gastroenterology and hepatology. Within the gastroenterology training period, competency in oncology knowledge and procedural approaches to luminal and solid gastrointestinal organ cancers is required, whereas knowledge competency but not procedural competency is required in areas of advanced endoscopic procedures for cancer care. Only general knowledge, but not competency, is required for areas such as chemotherapy, which can be obtained with further optional training in a structured 2-year oncology fellowship program. Although there is no standardization to date for including full oncology training within a gastroenterology training program in the United States, there is great interest from gastroenterology professional societies to include a pathway for trainees within the gastroenterology training program.

진흙버섯속(상품명: 상황버섯) 재배방법에 따른 경제적 효과 분석 (Economic analysis of Phellinus spp. cultivation)

  • 상황버섯은 한번 접종하여 4년간 재배되는 버섯으로서, 원목의 일부를 땅에 묻어서 재배하는 지면재배 방식으로 상업적 재배가 시작되었으나, 최근에는 보다 집약적인 재배방식으로 원목을 덕(균상)에 매달아서 재배하는 지상재배가 시도되고 있다. 지상재배는 덕(균상)을 만들어 많은 숫자의 골목을 매달아 재배하는 것을 제외하면 그 재배과정이나 작업요령에는 큰 차이가 없다. 다만 지상재배는 덕(균상)이라는 시설투자에 5,678,230원이 더 들고, 원목이 지면재배 5,200본의 2.8배인 14,400본이 소요되어 368만원의 원목비와 그에 따른 종균비 1,104,000원 등이 더 드는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 재배사 100평을 기준으로 한 4년간의 생산비는, 지면재배가 20,180,971원 지상재배가 37,953,825원으로, 지상재배가 지면재배의 1.9배에 이르고, 경영비는 지면재배가 12,077,712원, 지상재배가 24,075,432원으로, 지상재배가 지면재배의 2.0배가 되었다. 순수익은 4년간 100평에서 지면재배가 5억 8,094만원, 지상재배가 16억 8,330만원으로, 지상재배가 2.9배 많았고, 소득은 지면재배가 5억 8,904만원, 지상재배가 16억 9,718만원을 얻을 수 있는 것으로 나타나, 소득도 지상재배가 지면재배의 2.9배가 되었다. 이는 재배 원목수의 차이 2.8배에 골목 1본당 수확량의 차이 1.03(541g : 523g)가 더해진 것과 비슷한 수준으로, 생산비 차이 1.9배나 경영비 차이 2.0배보다 훨씬 크다. 이상을 종합하면, 지면재배는 지상재배에 비하여 투자비는 적게 들지만, 소득도 그만큼 낮고, 재배 원목과 버섯 수확량이 지상재배에 비하여 적기 때문에 저투입-저수익 재배방식이라고 말할 수 있고, 지상재배는 투자비와 노동력 투입이 많지만, 수익은 그보다 더 높다는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 다만 현금흐름 측면에서는, 지면재배의 경우는 첫해의 자금지출은 지상재배보다 적지만, 첫해에 수확이 전혀 없기 때문에 투자 후 2년 정도가 지나야 투자비를 회수할 수 있지만, 지상재배는 비록 첫해의 자금수요는 그보다 크지만, 첫해부터 수확이 가능하기 때문에, 전부는 아니더라도 첫해부터 투자비 회수가 가능하다는 점에도 유의해야 한다고 하겠다.
