현행 내진설계 규준의 수평강도 요구에 대한 평가 (Evaluation of the Strength Required in Current Seismic Design Code)

  • 현행 내진설계 규준에서 사용하고 있는 반응수정계수는 설계지진하중과 유사한 지진발생시 구조물이 비선형 거동을 하도록 탄성응답에서 요구되는 밑면전단력 값을 낮추는 계수라 할 수 있다. 따라서 반응수정계수는 하중저감계수(force reduction factor)라고 할 수 있으며, 이러한 값들은 경험적으로 결정된 것이어서 예상지진에 대하여 구조설계자가 설계한 건물이 어느정도의 비선형 거동을 할지는 예측하기가 힘들다. 본 연구에서는 목표가 되는 연성비(target ductility ratio)에 따라 요구되는 밑면전단력의 값을 구하고 이를 규준에서 요구하는 값과 비교할 것이다. 만약 요구되는 값이 규준 값 보다 크다면 이는 구조물이 가지는 부가강도(overstrength)나 잉여력(redundancy)이 담당해야 한다. 모멘트연성골조 건물을 설계한 후 이를 push-over 해석에 의하여 부가강도를 찾아 보아 요구강도와 비교할 것이다.

밭작물 가뭄피해 경감을 위한 소류천 유출수 저수 시스템 개발 (Development of a Long-slope Water Harvesting System in Natural Channel for Drought Mitigation in Upland)

  • This study developed a rainwater harvesting system for the irrigation of upland on sloping area. The assessment of water supply capacity was evaluated in farm field experience. This system consists of a water catchment device and a collapsible storage tank. The water catchment device was designed to collect runoff water in natural channel of 500 mm width into a pipe of 50 mm inner diameter. The device has funnel-shaped plan and cross-section of square. The storage capacity of the collapsible water tank was caculated to meet the water demand for irrigation in 30 a cultivated land for 10-year frequancy drought. The tank has a cuboid shape with a capacity of 30 ㎥, 5 m in width and length, 1.2 m in height. This system can supply 92% of the water required for drop irrigation of red pepper and 88% of the water required for drop irrigation of onions in 30 a cultivation land during the month of May and June. In the case of 16-dry days of 10-years frequency, this system is capable to irrigate 100% of required water for red pepper and onion, 76.7% of required water for Omija (Schisandra chinensis), and 51.5% of required water for autumn kimchi cabbage.

원자력기기 내진해석응답스펙트럼 생성프로그램 개발 (Development of Response Spectrum Generation Program for Seismic Analysis of the Nuclear Equipment)

  • In our country, when the replacement for individual components of equipment in nuclear power plants is required, establishment of individual criteria i.e. Required Response Spectra(RRS) of seismic test/analysis for the component is very difficult because of the absence of Test Response Spectra(TRS) for the individual component to be replaced, from the existing qualification documents. In this case, it is required to perform the structural analysis for the nuclear equipment including the components to be replaced. After the structural analysis, Analysis Response Spectra(ARS) at the point of the component shall be generated and used for seismic test of the component. However, as of today, no standard program authorized for the response spectra generation by using the structural analysis exists in korea. Because of above reason, the STAR-Egs computer program was developed by using the method which calculates directly the expected response spectrum(frequency vs. acceleration type) of the selected points in the nuclear equipment with input spectrum(Required Response Spectra, RRS), based on the dynamic characteristics of the Finite Element(FE) model that is equivalent to the nuclear equipment. The STAR-Egs controls ANSYS/I-DEAS commercial software and automatically extract modal parameters of the FE model. The STAR-Egs calculates response spectrum using the established algorithm based on the extracted modal parameters, too. Reliance on the calculation result of the STAR-Egs was verified through comparison output with the result of MATLAB commercial software based on the identical algorithm. Moreover, actual seismic testing was performed as per IEEE344-1987 for the purpose of program verification by comparison of the FE analysis results.

관측포탄 작전운용성능 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션 연구 (Simulation Based Study to Verify the Required Operational Capability of the Para-Observation Munition)

  • 무기체계의 성능을 뜻하는 작전운용성능(Required Operational Capability)은 신규 무기체계의 소요 결정 시 함께 결정되며, 무기체계의 획득부터 전술적인 운용에 이르기까지 결정적인 영향을 미치기 때문에 이를 정의하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 본 연구에서는 새롭게 개발되는 무기체계인 관측포탄의 ROC를 검증하기 위한 시뮬레이션 기반의 방법론을 제안한다. 이를 위해, ROC를 구성하는 무기체계의 주요 성능과 무기체계의 성능에 영향을 미치는 외부환경요인을 입력값으로 하고, 작전운용효과를 결과값으로 출력하는 이산사건 시뮬레이션 모델을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 모델을 구현하는데 필요한 모의논리를 설명하고 민감도 분석 등 다양한 시뮬레이션 결과를 활용하여 ROC를 검증할 수 있는 방법에 대해 설명한다. 본 연구는 관측포탄과 같이 유사무기체계가 없고 군의 분석모델을 직접적으로 활용하기 어려운 무기체계의 ROC를 분석하고 작전효과를 예측할 수 있는 방법론으로 활용이 가능할 것이다.

우리나라 병원 행정인력의 전문성 수준 분석 (The Level of Expertise of Hospital Administrators in Korea)

  • This research is designed to analyze the professionalism of administrators working in Korean hospitals as a way to make them a better expertise in the industry. For this purpose, we conducted a survey of 105 administrative professionals working in hospitals nationwide and statistical analysis was performed with the SPSS Windows version 15.0. The survey questions were developed based on the Spencer & Spencer's results of research in expertise variables. The results showed that the current Korean hospital administrator do have short of expertise required for their job position. Therefore, the curriculum reform is required for healthcare management programs in college and the Korean College of Hospital Administrators (KCHA) is required to change the contents of license exam based on the results of the study.

  • In order for concrete as a basic material constituting reinforced concrete structure to meet the required performance, it is necessary to satisfy various requirements in concrete construction. Among them, form work has significant effects not only on the process of molding fresh concrete but also on the quality and performance of hardened concrete. Recently, the decrease and aging of form workers is becoming a great problem in the construction industry and, as a result, it is required to rationalize form works and reduce labor costs for employing form workers. Because form construction methods decide the type of form according to required performance, it is necessary to develop various form construction methods and examine their performance. Thus the present study purposed to expand the scope of application of form construction methods and, for this purpose, investigated the basic characteristics of rib- lath form and presented a system form construction method.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a reasonable design for transverse confinement reinforcement considering ductility and required transverse confinement reinforcement of RC bridge columns. In order to develop relationships between the curvature ductility and required transverse confinement reinforcement for design purpose, the analysis using the computer program NARCC have been carried out for parametric studies. Based on the results from the parametric studies, an equation for calculating the required transverse confinement reinforcement based on ductility demand was developed for seismic design of RC bridge columns. The equations proposed by this study will provide more reasonable and more effective design guidelines for performance-based seismic design of RC bridge columns.

연성도를 고려한 철근콘크리트 교각의 내진설계방법에 관한 연구 (Seismic Design Methodology of RC Bridge Columns based on Ductility)

  • Bridge columns in strong earthquake area are to be designed and constructed so that enough ductility should be guaranteed. Therefore, large amount of transverse reinforcement is required to confine core concrete of the bridge column by design specifications. In moderate seismicity regions, however, adopting the full ductility design concept sometimes results in construction problems due to reinforcement congestion. For the moderate seismicity regions, a design based on required ductility and required transverse reinforcement might be a reasonable approach. Ductility demand design or performance-based design might be an appropriate approach especially for regions of moderate seismic risk. The procedure and application of this design approach are presented in this paper.

A Dynamic Priority-based QoS Control Scheme for Wireless Mobile Networks

  • In this paper, a dynamic priority-based QoS (DPQoS) provision scheme is proposed for the required QoS from one end of the network to the other in wireless mobile networks. The DPQoS model is used to meet diversity multimedia traffic requirements. This model is come up with a framework for the wireless network of which consists of a core-IP network and also a number of wireless access networks. For the true end-to-end QoS, it is required that the core network is able to support the required QoS for the wireless users. This paper shows a solution to optimize the performance for different traffic classes according to the traffic characteristics. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated at delay aspects such as delay and throughput.
