A Study on Self Repairing for Fast Fault Recovery in Digital System by Mimicking Cell

  • Living cells generate the cell cycle or apoptosis, depending on the course will be repeated. If an error occurs during this period of life in order to maintain the cells in the peripheral cells find the error portion. These cellular functions were applied to the system to simulate the circuit. Circuit implementation of the present study was constructed the redundant structure in order to found the error quickly. Self-repairing of digital systems as an advanced form of fault-tolerance has been increasingly receiving attention according as digital systems have been more and more complex and speed-up especially for urgent systems or those working on extreme environments such as deep sea and outer space. Simulating the process of cell differentiation algorithm was confirmed by the FPGA on the counter circuit. If an error occurs on the circuit where the error was quickly locate and repair. In this paper, we propose a novel self-repair architecture for fast and robust fault-recovery that can easily apply to real, complex digital systems. These Self-Repairing Algorithms make it possible for the application digital systems to be alive even though in very noisy and extreme environments.

AHP분석을 통한 도로 교통안전지킴이 로봇 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Road Traffic Safety Moderator Robot using AHP)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to analyze the requirements of the road traffic safety moderator robot when road repairing. The road traffic safety moderator robot is road traffic safety equipment and to conversions mechanical engineering and IT when road repairing. METHODS : The study used AHP based on the survey from road repair related expert that field engineers, design engineers, public officials and professors. The survey used paired comparison. The survey items were safety, convenience and economics. The safety is classified as visibility or efficiency, the convenience is classified as utility or mobility and the economics is classified as initial investment cost or maintenance $ management cost. The survey alternatives were the road traffic safety moderator robot, traffic regulation by human, traffic regulation by mannequin and traffic signs. The software for AHP is Expert Choice 2000. RESULTS : The results of AHP analyze, the weighted value of safety was analyzed with the highest at 0.488 of survey items. The weighted value of convenience was analyzed at 0.295, the weighted value of economics was analyzed at 0.218. The results of the road traffic safety moderator robot, the weight value of efficiency and utility were analyzed with the highest at 0.284 and 0.259 of alternatives. The weighted value of initial investment cost and maintenance & management cost were analyzed with the lowest at 0.203 and 0.211 of alternatives. The consistency test results of each items, null hypothesis is rejected because the CR values were 0.000 respectively. Therefore, the study results are consistency. CONCLUSIONS : The result of this study, overall value of the road traffic safety moderator robot came off second-best of other alternatives. The road traffic safety moderator robot has been received highest praise by the result of the study as good road traffic safety equipment when road repairing because the weighted values of efficiency and utility were analyzed with the highest of survey items. The efficiency mean securing safety and the utility mean practical assistance when road repairing. The results of this study showed that the road traffic safety moderator robot will effective for traffic safety when road repairing. economics and visibility are that supplementation of the road traffic safety moderator robot because the weighted values of economics and visibility were analyzed with the lowest of survey items. The consistency test results are consistency because the CR values were 0.000 respectively.

  • The electrophoretic deposition process of Ni nano-particles was employed for self-repairing of heat exchanger tubes. For electrophoretic deposition of Ni nano-particles on pitted Ni alloy specimen, a constant electric field of 100 V $cm^{-1}$ was applied to the specimen for 180 s in Ni-dispersed solution. It was found that as electrophoretic deposition proceeded, the size of the pit remarkably decreased due to the agglomeration of Ni nano-particles at the pit. This strongly suggests that the electrophoretic mobility of the charged particles is larger for the pit with a higher current value rather than outer surfaces with a lower current value.

  • Marine propeller is one of the most important element of ship, it must be taken care of design and maintenance of it. It is inevitable that corrosion pits have occurred on the marine propeller. If corrosion pits have occurred on the blades, they have been repaired ordinary by simple welding methods in shipyards. It must be that the strength is degraded in this process. In this paper, we represent the improvement method of fatigue strength degraded after repairing pits.

  • It is inevitable that corrosion pits have occurred on the marine propeller. If corrosion pits have occurred on the blades, they have been repaired by simple welding methods. In this paper, we analyzed and compared the strength of A1BC3 and HBsCl used for marine propeller after repairing the artificial pit by several different methods.

  • It takes 2 or 3 months to manufacture memory device. Defect has to exist owing to hundreds of processes. If there are too many defects, the memory has to be rejected. But if there are a few defects, it will be more efficient and cost reducing for the company to use it by repairing. Therefore, laser-repair process is needed for such a reason and redundancy analysis is needed to establish correct target of laser-repair process. The equipment development company had provided the redundancy analysis and each development company had developed and provided separately. So, to analyze the similar type of defects, redundancy analysis time can be very different by the manufacture. The purpose of this research is to strengthen the competitive price and to apply correlation concept in business for reducing the redundancy analysis time to repair the defects

  • 본 연구에서는 손상된 복합재 구조의 유지 보수 방안에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 복합재료 구조의 손상 수리 방안을 제시하고 수리 절차를 카본/에폭시 적층판 복합재 구조에 적용하여 시편 시험 및 수치 해석을 통해 분석하였다. 손상은 중량 낙하식 충격 시험기를 활용하여 복합재 구조 시편에 충격 손상으로 모사하였다. 손상된 복합재 적층판 구조는 충격 손상 부위 제거 후 외부 패치 수리 기법을 적용하여 수리하였다. 충격 손상 후 유지 보수된 시편과 손상이 없는 시편의 압축 강도를 실험적 및 해석적으로 비교 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 유지 보수된 시편의 강도 회복 능력을 고찰하였다.

  • The electrophoretic deposition process of Ni nano-particles in organic suspension was employed for self-repairing of heat exchanger tubes. For this purpose, Ni nano-particles prepared by levitational gas condensation method were dispersed into the solution of ethanol with the addition of dispersant Hypermer KD2. For electrophoretic deposition of Ni nano-particles on the Ni alloy specimen, constant electric fields of 20 and 100 V $cm^{-1}$ were applied to the specimen in Ni-dispersed solution. It was found that as electrophoretic deposition proceeds, the size of the pit or crack remarkably decreased due to the agglomeration of Ni nano-particles at the pit or crack. This strongly suggests that the electrophoretic mobility of the charged particles is larger for the damaged part with a higher current value rather than outer surfaces with a lower current value.

  • Three different manual assembly techniques are evaluated by relating the effects of component quality to the total cost of the product. The results show that the choice of the scrapping or repairing the defective products or alternatively, salvaging the acceptable parts, may effect the total product cost by as much as 400 per cent. This paper emphasizes the need for accurate control quality of parts in assembly if low-cost manufacture is to be achieved.
