  • The rapid spread of solar power plants with a variety of design, development, construction, maintenance and related technology companies to co-vary. In this paper, we review and research necessary to proceed with a technical background and potential and further development to control various operating solar power plants in the new and older remotely.

  • Recently, the research and development of the fish cage in open sea from domestic is active and it is almost complement with commercial scale test on 'seogwipo'. But domestic technology is not sufficient of management RMS(Remote Monitoring System) with advanced country, so it is difficult to maintenance and monitor fish cage in open sea. This paper introduces a fish cage environmental monitoring system for measuring pH, DO and temperature. A signal is treated with DAU(Data Acquisition Unit) by a wireless communication method and transfers data to host computer for data processing. These data are graphically shown on the monitor with LabVIEW program and logged on the data processing system in the form of file.

  • Distributed Object Systems are very complex. So, it is difficult to see overall relationship among objects participated in the system. Moreover the performance tuning or maintenance are also important issues of it. So, it needs a way to view the system with low-cost and an efficient method. One of solutions is a visualization tool or system. In this paper, we proposed a tracing facility for Java-based distributed object system, especially RM(Remote Method Invocation). Our up-coming visualization system will use two phase hybrid post-mortem/on-the-fly technique. To support it, the fundamental tracing part must have some flexible and dynamic mechanism. The main idea of our tracing technique is the Plug-in Sensor Model(PSM). The relationship between tracing (monitoring) part and visualization part is closely related. So, we considered the appropriate factors for visualization. We developed 'Traced RMI(TRMI)'. For more precise visualization of a working system, the casuality of events has to be preserved. TRMI can support global event ordering.

  • we studied a data acquisition and control system of a wind turbine for measuring and controlling a voltage fluctuations of a wind turbine system. The wind turbine system is installed out control area. So, it is so important for supervising to wind turbine of a maintenance, wind speed, optical resources wind turbine output, wind speed, wind direction, over voltage of a generator. This system can be supplied a data of over voltage, under voltage, voltage fluctuations of a wind turbine for controlling an EMS : Energy Management System or a SCADA : Supervision Control and Data Acquisition at a constitute of a wind farm. The of voltage fluctuation system of a wind turbine is improving an electric power supply power quality of a distribution line and unspecified individuals of used wind turbine.

  • Determining those gaps in agricultural and other information to improve agrometeorological analyses for agriculture is a large task. The effective integration of appropriate data systems, including remote sensing systems, with agricultural systems modelling capability is described as a worthy outcome in this endeavour. Data issues, including those associated with data length, quality, maintenance, and archiving remain serious issues to be addressed. The role of remote sensing and geographic information systems in agrometeorology is important and is explored here. The value of simulation models to provide the synthesis for future agrometeorological requirements is further elucidated.

  • The firmware upgrade, which is remotely performed, is an essential function in smart metering or AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure). In other words, the AMI software and firmware can be switched for maintaining and improvement without replacement of H/W devices in AMI environment. Also, if number and type of devices are increase, the demand of remote update service will be increased. Through the firmware upgrade service remotely, the electric power corporation may be able to benefit various fields. For example, there are to adapt more easily in many environments, real-time service and to cut maintenance costs. In this paper, we proposed to design an international level FUMS(Firmware Upgrade Management System) which includes requirement function, architecture and protocol related with DCU, Smart Meter.

  • The owner of water pipeline has a burden of responsibility for the protection of corrosion and the prevention against leakage of water. So, they have been installed a CP(Cathodic Protection) System in odor to protect corrosion. And they also have been measured and analyzed the data about P/S(Pipe to Soil) potential of water pipeline. The P/S potential is basic data of evaluation for water pipeline corrosion. They need remote automatic corrosion monitoring system for easy maintenance. In this paper, The communication method was studied mainly. And the specifications of proposed TRS (Truncked Radio System ) terminal for corrosion monitoring are introduced briefly.

  • This paper describes design features of a cleaning robot for use in a radioactive zone of the Isolation room of the Irradiated Material Examination Facility (IMEF) at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). This cleaning robot is intended to completely eliminate human interaction with hazardous radioactive contaminants. The clean ing robot that is operated either by manual mode or by autonomous mode is designed to be capable of cleaning the isolation room´s floor surface and collecting dry nuclear fuel debris and other radioactive waste placed on the floor.   • Wastewater treatment processes are usually located in the outskirts of cities. But these processes should be dealt with continuous maintenance by expert operators. Therefore, in this paper, unmaned and automated control system is designed for the SBR(Sequencing Batch Reactor) plant. This plant is constructed in Gimhae city. Networks and wireless modules are employed for the data transmission. A local controller is in the SBR plant as a client and a monitoring system is located in the other place as a server. Remote control and monitoring system are constructed at the laboratory of ours. Measured data from plant sensors are translated to the remote site using communication modules, and then the data could be displayed and analyzed by means of remote monitoring and control systems.

  • A wireless sensor network inherently comprises a plurality of sensor nodes widely deployed for sensing environmental information. To add new functions or to correct some faulty functions of an existing wireless sensor network, the firmware for each sensor node needs to be updated. Firmware update would be quite troublesome if it requires the gathering, reprogramming, and redeploy of all of already deployed sensor nodes. Over-the-air programming (OTA) facilitates the firmware update process, thereby allowing convenient maintenance of an already-deployed sensor network. This paper proposes and implements a remote firmware update mechanism for a TDMA-based wireless sensor network, in which the firmware for sensor nodes constituting the TDMA-based sensor network can be easily updated and the update process can be conveniently monitored from a remote site. We verify the validity of the proposed firmware update method via experiments and introduce three wireless sensor networks installed in outdoor sites in which the proposed firmware update mechanism has been exploited.
