비대면 환자 간호시스템 적용을 위한 융합기술의 원격 수액모니터링 장치 사용성평가 지표 개발 및 결과 분석 (Development of usability evaluation index of convergence technology remote fluid monitoring device for non-face-to-face patient nursing system application and analysis of results)

  • 비대면 의료시스템의 확대로 간호사의 업무 경감 및 효율성을 높이기 위해서 도입되는 원격수액모니터링 장치의 사용성평가를 수행하였다. 원격 수액 모니터링은 수액 측정시술과 분석, 오차 교정기술, 전송기술 등 다양한 기술이 융복합되어 있다. 사용자가 사용하는 범위와 얻고자 하는 정보, 조절 장치 등 사용범위가 넓으며 제품을 평가하는 요소도 다양하다. 따라서 평가를 통해 제품을 개선하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 원격수액모니터링 시스템장치를 제품의 안정성, 조작성, 만족도의 3개 영역에서 20개의 사용성평가를 실시하여 상용화를 위한 제품개선에 도움을 주고자 정량적인 지표를 개발하였다. 적외선 방식과 로드셀 방식의 수액모니터링 장치를 통해 수행하였으며, 안정성에서는 장치의 폴대고정 등 설치작업에 대해 차이가 있었으며, 조작성과 정확성에 대해서는 높은 만족도를 나타내었다. 제품의 만족도에서는 로드셀 장치의 만족도가 대체로 높게 나타났다.

  • 최근 전 세계적인 기후변화와 기존 화석연료와 관련된 전 지구적인 관심사는 풍력발전에 대한 많은 관심을 불러 왔다. 특히, 10Kw이하의 소형 풍력발전시스템은 전 세계적으로 많은 국가에서 활발히 설치되고 있는 실정이다. 일반적으로 소형풍력발전 시스템이 상업적인 목적으로 설치되기 위해서는 해당 풍력발전시스템의 성능 인증이 필수적으로 요구된다. 이를 위해서는 효율적인 운영이 가능한 풍력발전 원격 모니터링 시스템의 개발이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 새로운 형태의 지그비 기반의 무선통신 기법을 이용한 무선 원격 모니터링 시스템을 제안하고자 하며 제안된 기법의 유용성 확인을 위해 실제 실험을 수행하고자 하였다.

  • The robot is an effective means to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately. It could be more effective in dangerous environments where human is difficult to access. The construction site is a dangerous environment with a high possibility of industrial accidents where heavy work is frequently carried out at a high place. In particular, an accident in the construction site is highly likely to lead to a severe disaster. Of course, various technologies are being developed to monitor the safety of workers in construction sites and prevent accidents, but there is a limit to eliminate the risk of accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to replace workers exposed to dangerous environments with equipment or robots that could be controlled remotely in a more active way. In this study, Remote Precise Installation System was proposed to replace the workers exposed to the risk of accident at a high place during the bridge construction. Also, the conceptual design and analytical reviews of this system were carried out. Suppose Remote Precise Installation System is developed according to the derived concept and the target performance. In that case, this system is expected to be applied as a technology that can effectively replace the workers at the bridge construction site.

컨볼루션을 이용한 전자 유압 시스템의 피크압력 저감 제어 연구 (A Study of Peak Pressure Reduction Control of Electro Hydraulic System using Convolution)

  • Hydraulic systems are essential for most of the construction equipments due to their various advantages, such as very powerful, quick response speed, precision control and remote control. Moreover, they are necessary to apply the electro hydraulic systems for precise and remote controls. Operating the small electronic joystick of the remote controller for the control of a multipurpose work machine with remote control technology increases the possibility of a sudden operation compared to the use of a conventional hydraulic joystick. When a joystick is suddenly operated, the peak pressure is generated in the system due to the quick response of the system. Then a vibration is generated due to the peak pressure, which causes instability to the operation of the construction equipment. Therefore, in this study, we confirmed the level of reduction of peak pressure occurring in the electro hydraulic system by using AMESim, when the output signal of the step shape generated by the sudden operation of the electronic joystick was changed by using the convolution operation.

  • Satellite and aerial remote sensing (RS) techniques have been provided to collect spatial data globally over the last few decades. However in developing countries such as China, there is still an urgent need for low cost and high resolution RS data. As an emerging RS platform, commercial Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) integrated with state-of-the-art sensors and information technologies has the potential to become a low cost tool to meet application demands. In this paper, the architecture of UAV RS operation system is mentioned. Moreover, key technologies in UAV RS system are analyzed and current work is reported.

  • The shoes process management monitoring system for supporting SCM is developed in this study. This system consists of a monitoring program, a conveyer system, a pneumatic unit, a controller, an USB camera, and a server and a client computer. To operate the developed system easily, the monitoring program using LabVIEW in the Windows environment is developed. This program consists of 5 modules: production management, inventory control, media management, defective management, and communication management. The developed system has several advantages: reduced time for managing process work, decreased labor costs, effective operation, and continuous work without an operator. Nowadays advanced manufacturing companies are trying to find a way to check the performance of their production equipments and plants from remote sites. Thus, to manage the developed system from remote sites, communication network is constructed. In order to evaluate the performance of the monitoring system, experiments were performed. The experimental results showed that the developed system provided a reliable performance and a stable communication.

  • Most measuring devices are equipped with RS-232 or GPIB interface for communicating data with computers. If the measuring devices can be accessed by a server computer, the valuable information from the devices can be effectively shared with other computers via internet. But, if the measuring devices and the server computer are too far away, it is difficulty to directly connect them by RS232 interface. PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) refers to the world's collection of interconnected voice-oriented public telephone networks. Measuring computer system which is equipped with RS232 interface and modem for PSTN can be introduced to overcome the aforementioned distance problem, In this work, an internet based remote monitoring system which utilizes PSTN and VRML for 3-dimensional GUI is proposed.

  • In remote control of telerobotics equipment, the real-time visual feedback is necessary in order to facilitate real-time control. Because of the network congestion and the associated delays, the real-time image feedback is generally difficult in the public networks like internet. If the remote user is not able to receive the image feedback within a certain time, the work performance may tend to decrease, and it makes difficulties to control of the telerobotics equipment. In this paper, we propose an improved visual feedback scheme over the internet for telerobotics system. The size of a remote site image and its quality are adjusted for efficient transmission. The constructed system has a better real-time update characteristics, and shows a potential for the real-time visual control of the telerobotics system.

  • College GIS and remote sensing education usually consists of commercial software packages implementations in the classroom. Computer programming is quite important when college graduates work in private or public sectors relevant with GIS and remote sensing implementations. The objective of this paper was to develop a valley management system which implements GIS and remote sensing as the key components for education. The Valley Authority is entitled with water resource protection for sustainable drinking water supply of the second largest city in Taiwan. The test area consists of three different government agencies, Forest Service, EPA, and Water Resource Agency. Materials were provided by the Valley Authority in ArcGIS file format. MapObjects have made the GIS development process much easier. Remote sensing with image manipulation functions were provided by computer programming with Visual Baisc.NET and Visual C#.NET. Attributes inquiry are performed by these two computer languages as well. ArcGIS and ArcPad are also used for simple GIS manipulations of the test area. Comparison between DIY and commercial GIS can be made by college students. Functions provided by the developed valley management system depending on how many map layers have been used and what types of MapObjects components have been used. Computer programming experience is not essential but can be helpful for a college student. The whole process is a step-by-step sequence which college students can modify to depict their capability in GIS and remote sensing. The development process has gone through one semester, three hours every week in 18 weeks. College students enrolled in this class entitled with GIS showed remarkable progresses both in GIS and remote sensing.

Analysis of Intermediary Roles and Technical Components for Smartglass-Assisted Interactive Remote Collaboration

  • Recent advances in Internet-of-Things and wearable computing have established computationally sufficient infrastructure to remove the barriers of physical locations. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the use of remote collaboration, work-from-home, teleconferencing, online education, digital twin, and metaverse enriched with various configurations of augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, and extended reality. Beyond specialized niche wearable applications in the medical and entertainment domains, we aim to identify the underlying characteristics of smartglass-enabled killer applications for everyday use. In this paper, we analyze intermediary roles in remote collaboration consisting of authoritative supervisors, synergetic collaborators, and speculative explorers. We also propose technical components for smartglass-assisted interactive remote collaboration composed of personal tracking, teleconference, and interaction components. More specifically, the application tasks of each intermediary role and objectives of three functional components are defined and elaborated.
