Purpose: This study sought to identify whether fascial therapy using myofascial release (MFR) and Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) techniques affected not only the area where treatment was being given but also remote areas connected to the treatment area by fascial continuity through comparison of the pain pressure threshold (PPT). Methods: The subjects were 16 healthy normal adults in their 20s and 30s who were divided into the MFR and FDM groups before the experiment. The PPT was measured at 4 different points on the body of the subjects. C7, T7, L5, and gastrocnemius along the superficial back line (SBL) before and after the intervention. Results: Only the FDM group subjects showed a significant increase in the PPT at T7 after the intervention. (p<0.05). In addition, the FDM group demonstrated significantly increased PPT at L5 compared to the MFR group. However, neither the FDM nor the MFR group showed a meaningful change in the PPT at the remote area in the lower leg. Conclusion: These findings showed that FDM can affect PPT more and has a positive effect on the pain threshold compared to MFR. However, neither FDM nor MFR showed any effect on the PPT in a remote area.

Objectives : The Purpose of this report is to examine the effect of Remote Acupuncture Point Needling in the Low Back Pain patient of Acute Stage. Methods : From October 1st 2005 to May 31th 2006, 30 cases of low back pain patients at acute stage were divided into 2 groups; one group(control group) took near acupuncture point needling, and the other group(test group) took near acupuncture point needling with remote acupuncture point needling. For evaluating change of pain, Visual Analog Scale(VAS) was checked before and after Treatment. Results : Both acupuncture therapy showed good effect on low back pain of acute stage. And test group showed better effect on decreasing pain than control group. It was proved by the difference between VAS checked before treatment and what checked after treatment. But it was not significant statistically. Conclusion : Near acupuncture point needling and remote acupuncture point needling can be recommended as a useful therapy to treat low back pain of acute stage.

Background: This study investigated the perception of community care-based tele exercise rehabilitation according to demographic characteristics of physical therapists and presented basic data for the spread of tele exercise rehabilitation within community care. Methods: The study collected and analyzed data from 195 physical therapists. The analysis was performed using frequency analysis with 10 general characteristics, 13 tele exercise rehabilitation recognition questions, and a total of 23 questions. Analysis of general characteristics of study subjects and recognition of tele exercise rehabilitation were expressed in terms of frequency and percentage using frequency analysis. Chi-squared test was used to compare general characteristics and tele exercise rehabilitation recognition. Correlation analysis of major sociodemographic variables affecting the perception of remote exercise rehabilitation was conducted. Results: The awareness level of physical therapists for remote exercise rehabilitation was confirmed. The difference in the recognition of remote motor rehabilitation in the number of therapists, career, hospital form according to the sociodemographic characteristics showed statistically significant differences. Conclusion: It is necessary to first raise awareness of therapists through the promotion of tele exercise rehabilitation, and furthermore, in the future, it will be necessary to find a policy direction and plan on how tele exercise rehabilitation can be applied to rehabilitation services in local communities care.

Voice and speech therapy can be performed in various ways depending on the situation, although it is generally performed in a face-to-face manner. Telepractice refers to the provision of specialized voice and speech therapy by speech-language pathologists for assessment, therapy, and counseling by applying telecommunication technology from a remote location. Recently, due to the pandemic situation and the active use of non-face-to-face platforms, interest in telepractice of voice and speech therapy has increased. Moreover, a growing body of literature has been advocating its clinical usefulness and non-inferiority to traditional face-to-face intervention. In this review, the existing discussions, guidelines, and preliminary studies on non-face-toface voice and speech therapy were summarized, and recommendations on the tools for telepractice were provided.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to compare the improvement effects on lumbar spine herniation of nucleus pulpous between neighboring acupuncture points and neighboring-remote acupuncture points by bee venom herbal-acupuncture therapy. Methods : The 30 patients who had a diagnosis of lumbar spine herniation of nucleus pulpous were divided into two groups. Group A was 15 cases treated with bee venom herbal-acupuncture therapy on neighboring acupuncture points, group B was 15 cases treated on neighboring and remote acupuncture points. The two groups were also managed by moxibustion, physical theraphy and herbal medicine. The improvement effects between two groups was estimated by low back pain index and visual analogue scale(VAS) score after 10 days treatment. Results : After 10 days treatment. low back pain index and VAS score were significantly improved in both two groups, but there was no significantly difference between two groups in both low back pain index and VAS score. Conclusion : In this study, there were same effects between neighboring acupuncture points and neighboring-remote acupuncture points bee venom herbal-acupuncture therapy. But further studies are required to confirm the effect of these methods.

Objectives : This report is to compare Remote Acupuncture Point Needling group with Trigger Point Needling group about Shoulder pain treatment. Methods : From November 11th 2006 to May 10th 2007, 30 cases of shoulder pain patients were divided into 2 groups ; one group(test I group) took remote acupuncture point needling, and the other group(test II group) took trigger point needling. For evaluating change of pain, Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and clinical evaluation grade and Range of Motion was checked before and after Treatment. Results : Both acupuncture therapy showed good effect on shoulder pain. And test II group showed better effect on decreasing pain than test I group. It was proved by the difference between VAS and ROM checked before treatment and what checked after treatment. But it was only significant statistically for adduction, inversion and eversion of shoulder joint motion. Conclusion : Trigger point needling can be recommended as a useful therapy to treat shoulder pain.

The oncolytic viruses selectively infect and destroy cancer cells, not harming normal cells. The cancer cell materials released by oncolysis, like tumor antigens, stimulate host antitumor immune responses, which is a long-lasting antitumor immunity removing cancer cells in remote parts of the body by a systemic response. Oncolytic viruses armed with transgenes such as cytokines or other immune stimulating factors enhance the immune responses. The first oncolytic virus approved by US-FDA is $Imlygic^{(R)}$ targeting for melanoma. The oncolytic virus is considered as a revolutionary immunotherapy for tumors together with immune checkpoint inhibitors. A variety of oncolytic viruses are under research in the treatment of kidney cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, and many others solid tumors. Clinical trials have shown promising results in different types of cancers. Here, we present a brief introduction of various aspects of oncolytic virus, and a review of the current status of oncolytic virus therapy development.

Objective : This study, as a preliminary study, applied an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) home-based program to elderly people aged 65 years or older to confirm the effect of the cognitive enhancement program and to find the possibility of remote rehabilitation. Methods : This study from August to October 2022, three subjects were selected and the intervention was conducted for about 2 months. This intervention was conducted using Korean version of Mini-Mental State Examination, Korean version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-K), Computer Cognitive Senior Assessment System, and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale to evaluate cognitive improvement before and after the program. The therapist remotely set the level of cognitive training according to the subject's level through weekly feedback. Results : After the intervention, all subjects showed improved scores in most items of the MoCA-K conducted before and after the intervention. In addition, among the items of Cotras-pro, upper cognition, language ability, attention, visual perception, and memory were improved. Conclusion : Cognitive rehabilitation training using an ICT home-based program not only prevented dementia but also made it habitual. Through this study, it was confirmed that remote rehabilitation for the elderly could be possible.

Objective: This study investigated the awareness of occupational therapy in the community in occupational therapy majors through a survey. This purpose is to investigate the awareness of occupational therapy in the community among occupational therapy majors and establish a theoretical foundation. Methods: The research subjects were surveyed among occupational therapy majors at M University living in Gyeongsangnam-do, and analyzed 141 questionnaires from September 2023 to December 2023. Results: The results of this study that education and awareness improvement are needed to increase awareness of occupational therapy in the community, and it was found that continuing education and case sharing are effective. Activation of home rehabilitation and continuous health management. This institutional development can induce employment activity through community rehabilitation, and activate programs in connection with adult day care centers. For the development of community occupational therapy, participation in education and development of customized treatment are necessary, and patient It should be developed to help with movement and movement, and it has been shown that it can also affect the quality of life of patients. In addition, cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence are expected to be applied to remote support, telemedicine, etc., and are applied to dementia, cognitive patients, and central nervous system patients. In order to institutionalize occupational therapy in the community, it is helpful in daily life, nursing, and management. It was said that this would be helpful for community participation. Conclusion: This study investigated the awareness of occupational therapy in the community among occupational therapy majors. Education and awareness improvement are needed to increase awareness of occupational therapy in the community. Education to improve the professionalism of occupational therapists, strengthening connectivity with other majors, and local organizations. It is believed that collaboration with the local community and institutional supplementation tailored to the needs of the local community were necessary.

Given the ongoing discussion regarding remote music therapy following the COVID-19 pandemic and the pivotal role of parental involvement in it, this study investigated parents' perceptions on their roles in a synchronous videoconferencing music therapy for their children with developmental disabilities. A total of 32 participants participated in an online survey comprising 68 questions. Descriptive statistics summarized the collected responses, and Pearson's correlation was conducted to examine the relationship between perceived parental roles, psychological burden, and willingness to participate in future remote music therapy. The findings showed that parents of children with developmental disabilities acknowledged the benefits of tele-music therapy and possessed substantial information about its implementation. Furthermore, they reported their roles of providing physical, participatory, and mediating support. As parents exhibited greater satisfaction with their role in supporting their children's participation or managing their off-task behaviors, they perceived reduced psychological burden. These findings hold significant implications for expansion of tele-music therapy strategies to address the unique needs of children with developmental disabilities and support their parents as immediate mediators for their children.
