Filming using multiple cameras is required for the production of the multi-screen content. It can fill the viewer's field of view (FOV) entirely to provide an increased sense of immersion. In such a filming scenario, it is very important to monitor how images captured by multiple cameras are displayed as a single content or how the content will be displayed in an actual theatre. Most recent studies on creating the content of special format have been focused on their own purposes, such as stereoscopic and panoramic images. There is no research on content creation optimized for theatres that use three screens that are spreading recently. In this paper, we propose a novel content production system with a rig that can control three cameras and monitoring software specialized for multi-screen content. The proposed rig can precisely control the angles between the cameras and capture wide angle of view with three cameras. It works with monitoring software via remote communication. The monitoring software automatically aligned the content in real time, and the alignment of the content is updated according to the angle of camera rig. Futher, the producion efficiency is greatly improved by making the alignment information available for post-production.
As the era of space technology utilization is approaching, the launch of CAS (Compact Advanced Satellite) 500-1/2 satellites is scheduled during 2021 for acquisition of high-resolution images. Accordingly, the increase of image usability and processing efficiency has been emphasized as key design concepts of the CAS 500-1/2 ground station. In this regard, "CAS 500-1/2 Image Acquisition and Utilization Technology Development" project has been carried out to develop core technologies and processing systems for CAS 500-1/2 data collecting, processing, managing and distributing. In this paper, we introduce the results of the above project. We developed an operation system to generate precision images automatically with GCP (Ground Control Point) chip DB (Database) and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) DB over the entire Korean peninsula. We also developed the system to produce ortho-rectified images indexed to 1:5,000 map grids, and hence set a foundation for ARD (Analysis Ready Data)system. In addition, we linked various application software to the operation system and systematically produce mosaic images, DSM (Digital Surface Model)/DTM (Digital Terrain Model), spatial feature thematic map, and change detection thematic map. The major contribution of the developed system and technologies includes that precision images are to be automatically generated using GCP chip DB for the first time in Korea and the various utilization product technologies incorporated into the operation system of a satellite ground station. The developed operation system has been installed on Korea Land Observation Satellite Information Center of the NGII (National Geographic Information Institute). We expect the system to contribute greatly to the center's work and provide a standard for future ground station systems of earth observation satellites.
This paper reports on the analysis of the location accuracy of a precision image generation system manufactured for CAS 500. The planned launch date of the CAS 500 is 2021, and since it has not yet been launched, the analysis was performed using KOMPSAT-3A satellite images having similar specifications to the CAS 500. In this paper, we have checked the geolocation accuracy of initial sensor model, the model point geolocation accuracy of the precise sensor model, the geolocation accuracy of the precise sensor model using the check point, and the geolocation accuracy of the precise orthoimage using 30 images of the Korean Peninsula. In this study, the target geolocation accuracy is to have an RMSE within 2 pixels when an accurate ground control point is secured. As a result, it was confirmed that the geolocation accuracy of the precision sensor model using the checkpoint was about 1.85 pixels in South Korea and about 2.04 pixels in North Korea, and the geolocation accuracy of the precise orthoimage was about 1.15 m in South Korea and about 3.23 m in North Korea. Overall, it was confirmed that the accuracy of North Korea was low compared to that of South Korea, and this was confirmed to have affected the measured accuracy because the GCP (Ground Control Point) quality of the North Korea images was poor compared to that of South Korea. In addition, it was confirmed that the accuracy of the precision orthoimage was slightly lower than that of precision sensor medel, especially in North Korea. It was judged that this occurred from the error of the DTM (Digital Terrain Model) used for orthogonal correction. In addition to the causes suggested by this paper, additional studies should be conducted on factors that may affect the position accuracy.
This paper deals with an agent-based decision-supporting system for Taguchi experiment planning. Among the four major parts of Taguchi experiment, the planning phase includes the most important decision-making issues such as determination of experiment objectives, quality characteristics, and control factors. The planning phase, however, has not been paid proper attention by experiment designers. In this research, an agent-based decision-supporting system for Taguchi experiment planning has been developed to facilitate the planning tasks of experiment designer. The decision-supporting system is composed of two agent-based mechanisms. The first employs an Internet agent that collects the domain knowledge from knowledge providers who may be distributed in remote places. Another agent then visualizes the collected knowledge and reports it to the experiment designer. Engineers who would normally have difficulties in collaborating because of limitations on their time or because they are in different places can easily work together in the same experiment team and brainstorm to make good decisions. The second agent-based mechanism offers context-sensitive advice generated by another intelligent agent during the experiment planning process. it prevents the experiment designer from making improper decisions, which will increase the feasibility of the experiment and minimize the unnecessary expense of time and resources.
According to the urban gas business law, electrical corrosion prevention measures shall be installed to the buried gas pipelines and the pipe-to-soil potentials should be measured at the test box at least once a year. Most of the test boxes installed in urban area are usually located on the road where the vehicle travels, therefore, it is difficult to measure the CP potentials at the test boxes. That is, we need traffic control when carrying out the measurement of the CP potentials on daytime when the traffic is heavy, or we have to measure the potentials in the late night when the traffic is light. To solve these difficulties, we have studied remotely CP potential measuring method by using the patrol car. We have installed solid reference electrodes and data loggers under the test boxes on the site and received the CP potentials from the data loggers when the vehicle moves. It was difficult to send and receive the data because the data logger was located under the ground. We have applied 3 different method including 2 antenna systems to achieve best effective way in receiving the data. We have found the remote CP measuring method by using a car can save more 20 times of measuring time than conventional measuring methods.

Design concepts and control methods of a new crane will be introduced in this paper.and momentum balance was applied to the fluid field of bundle. while the movement of′ individual material was taken into account. The constitutive model relating the surface force and the deformation of bundle was introduced by considering a representative prodedure that stands for the bundle movement. Then a fundamental equations system could be simplified considering a steady state of the process. On the basis of the simplified model,

In this paper we present a Distributed Object oriented Virtual computing Environment, called DOVE which consists of autonomous distributed objects interacting with one another via method invocations based on a distributed object model. DOVE appears to a user logically as a single virtual computer for a set of heterogeneous hosts connected by a network as if objects in remote site reside in one virtual computer. By supporting efficient parallelism, heterogeneity, group communication, single global name service and fault-tolerance, it provides a transparent and easy-to-use programming environment for parallel applications. Efficient parallelism is supported by diverse remote method invocation, multiple method invocation for object group, multi-threaded architecture and synchronization schemes. Heterogeneity is achieved by automatic data arshalling and unmarshalling, and an easy-to-use and transparent programming environment is provided by stub and skeleton objects generated by DOVE IDL compiler, object life control and naming service of object manager. Autonomy of distributed objects, multi-layered architecture and decentralized approaches in hierarchical naming service and object management make DOVE more extensible and scalable. Also, fault tolerance is provided by fault detection in object using a timeout mechanism, and fault notification using asynchronous exception handling methods
This study is a preliminary research conducted in Buhansan mountain National Park to develop a management system to predict and control oak wilt disease by indicating spatial factors which affect diffusion of the disease. After analysing altitude factor during the estimation of spatial analysis of damaged area, it is indicated that damaged trees are mainly distributed at altitude of 200-500 m and number decreased drastically over the altitude of 500 m. The result showed that 92% of total damaged trees are on slope between 20~40 degrees and the number decreased drastically on slope steeper than 40 degrees. It is indicated that damaged area is mainly distributed on southern aspect. It is estimated by using CART that slope factor affected the diffusion of disease mostly but aspect factor did not. Surface temperature and altitude showed similar effect.By simulating possible diffusion scenario, it is estimated that the disease could spread to DO-BONG Mt., northeast of Bukhansan mountain.
In this study, we generated orthoimages and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) from Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to confirm the accuracy of possibility of geospatial information system generation, then compared the DEM with the topographic height values measured from Real Time Kinematic-GPS (RTK-GPS). The DEMs were generated from aerial triangulation method using fixed-wing UAV and rotary-wing UAV, and DEM based on the waterline method also generated. For the accurate generation of mosaic images and DEM, the distorted images occurred by interior and exterior orientation were corrected using camera calibration. In addition, we set up the 30 Ground Control Points (GPCs) in order to correct of the UAVs position error. Therefore, the mosaic images and DEM were obtained with geometric error less than 30 cm. The height of generated DEMs by UAVs were compared with the levelled elevation by RTK-GPS. The value of R-square is closely 1. From this study, we could confirm that accurate DEM of the tidal flat can be generated using UAVs and these detailed spatial information about tidal flat will be widely used for tidal flat management.

Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) were generated by ERS-l/2 and JERS-1 SAR interferometry in Daejon area, Korea. The quality of the DEM's was evaluated by the Ground Control Points (GCPs) in city area where GCPs were determined by GPS surveys, while in the mountain area with no GCPs, a 1:25,000 digital map was used. In order to minimize errors due to the inaccurate satellite orbit information and the phase unwrapping procedure, a Differential InSAR (DInSAR) was implemented in addition to the traditional InSAR analysis for DEM generation. In addition, DEMs from GTOPO30, SRTM-3, and 1:25,000 digital map were used for assessment the resolution of the DEM generated from DInSAR. 5-6 meters of elevation errors were found in the flat area regardless of the usage and the resolution of DEM, as a result of InSAR analyzing with a pair of ERS tandem and 6 pairs of JERS-1 interferograms. In the mountain area, however, DInSAR with DEMs from SRTM-3 and the digital map was found to be very effective to reduce errors due to phase unwrapping procedure. Also errors due to low signal-to-noise ratio of radar images and atmospheric effect were attenuated in the DEMs generated from the stacking of 6 pairs of JERS-1. SAR interferometry with multiple pairs of SAR interferogram with low resolution DEM can be effectively used to enhance the resolution of DEM in terms of data processing time and cost.
