Traditional female dresses include Kebaya, Baju Kurung, Baju Bodo, Kemben, Rok Batik and Slendang. Baju Koko, Sarung and Peci(Kopiah) are the most well-known Muslim male dress items. Muslim female dresses are more diverse than men's. For traditional and religious dresses, which were identified from literature study, public awareness and donning practices were examined with survey data. Indonesian people consider Kebaya, Sarung, and Batik as the most important traditional dresses which convey national identity. Peci(Kopiah), Baju koko, and Jilbab(Kerudung) are highly mentioned as the representatives of Muslim dresses. Indonesian Muslims report that they own these representative dresses commonly. Peci and Sarung are included both in religious and traditional dresses, demonstrating that the two items are the representative crossovers of their religion and the tradition of the country. For both traditional and Muslim dresses, Indonesian people think that aesthetics and traditional values are more relevant than practical value. Lastly, it is found that traditional dresses are parts of the daily wear of Indonesian people from the fact that they wear traditional dresses more than once a week.

  • The Sri Autobindo Learning Center(SALC) is sponsoring the development of a passive solar village in Creston, Colorado, Situated near the Sangre de Cristo mountains, Savitri Village will be one of several religious communities in the area. This village will incorporate 12 permanent residences and teaching and guest facilities for fifty to one hundred people. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the passive solar elements and performance of guest house at the Sri Autobindo Learning Center(SALC). To do this evaluation, the following tasks needed to be addressed. 1. the guest house design 2. the location of weather data 3. The determination of the building heating load As part of the evaluation process, guest house design will be modified and the building load and solar saving recalculated. This process will be completed until the building performance is deemed satisfactory. The conclusion is as follows; The high solar savings fraction predicted by SUNCODE should taken as an indication that further design changes would probably not be cost effective. But adding removal overhangs or other low costs measures to increase comfort in the summer appear to be appropriate.

  • Background: Depression is a comorbid disabling problem and potentially affects patient likelihood of survival. The aims of this study were to recognize the characteristics of depression and investigate associated predictor factors in patients with oral cancers. Methods: A cross-sectional and correlational design was used to collect data for this study conducted in northern Taiwan. A set of questionnaires was used to measure depression, symptom distress, performance status, social support, and demographic and disease-related information. Logistic regression was conducted to determine important factors predicting depression. Results: A total of 132 oral cancer patients participated in this study. Of these, 18.2% were identified as depression cases. The patient average performance status score was 90 or higher. Patients reported mild-to-moderate levels of symptom distress. The majority of social support was from families. Religious belief, alcohol use, symptom distress, and social support from family were found to be important factors predicting depression. Patients with religious belief with alcohol use reported greater symptom distress, and those with lower levels of social support from families were significantly more likely to develop depression. Conclusions: Clinicians should assess patient emotional status and manage symptoms in a timely manner to enhance coping abilities. Supportive care provides assurance during the acute survivor phase.

  • Guarino Guarini(1624-1683) is one of great Baroque architects who developed new spatial concept in architecture. He refused to static space typically appeared in Renaissance architecture. Instead, to make it possible to generate complicate form and moving space, he made use of generative diagram. It provide him with an abstract machine to generate automatically architectural inferiority. His generative diagram consists of three types: single circle diagram, matrix diagram and longitudinal diagram. The first diagram uses single circle as primary generator and develop this by means of overlap and equiangular division. La Cappella della Santissima Sindone, Sanctuary of Chiesa di Oropa, Chiesa dei Padri Somaschi, San Gaetano are designed according to this diagram. The generator of the second diagram is nine circles in $3{\times}3$ matrix, which provide the base for the interpenetration of space in Guarini's architecture. He inspired this diagram from Kepler's $\ulcorner$Harmonices mundi$\lrcorner$. The Churches of San Lorenzo, Ste-Anne-la-Royale, San Filippo Neri, San Gaetano are generated by this diagram. The third diagram has several circles in Lantin-cross plan. Guarini adopted this diagram because he had chances to design several churches in Northern Europe. The churches of Santa Maria di Ettinga, Immacolata Concezione, San Maria della Divina Providenza, Church without Name, San Filippo Neri are representative examples for this diagram.
