Mountain Aerodromes are aerodromes with special characteristics, provided in mountains for the needs of air transport operations. Mountain Aerodromes are approved for restricted use and are reserved for pilots and aircrafts special requirement. In this study, we surveyed the operating system and the characteristics of the Mountain Aerodromes in the ski stations of the French Alps mountainous region. We introduced the necessity and the relevant regulations for Mountain Aerodromes in Korea.

The monitoring and the diagnosis of the faults in induction motors starting from the stator current are very interesting, since it is an accessible and measurable quantity. The spectral analysis of the stator current makes it possible to highlight the characteristic frequencies of the faults but in a wide frequency range depending on half the sampling frequency, making it very difficult to monitor on-line the faults. In order to facilitate the use of the relevant frequencies of machine faults we proposed the extraction of the frequency components using two methods, namely, the amplitude and the instantaneous frequency. The theoretical bases of these methods were presented and the results were validated on a test bench with an induction motor of 5.5 kw.

This game machine of the use only for the game with an existing system but the function of various purposes which carries out service relevant to a user's position information. This system have the game function, the function to offer space guidance service by the theme interlocked with a user's position, and the traffic safety education function.

Most general content-based image retrieval techniques use color and texture as retrieval indices. Spatial information is not used to color histogram and color pair based on color retrieval techniques. This paper proposes the selection of a set of representative in the duplicated color histogram, the analysis of spatial information of the selected colors and the image retrieval process based on the duplicated color histogram and spatial information. Two color historgrams for background and object are used in order to decide on color selection in the duplicated color histogram. Spatial information is obtained using a maximum entropy discretization. A retrieval process applies to duplicated color histogram and spatial to retrieve input images and relevant images. As the result of experiment of the image retrieval, improved color his togram and spatial information method hs increased the retrieval effectiveness more the color histogram method and color pair method.

To investigate the impacts of ISO 9000 QA systems to the Korean industry quality improvement as well as quality consciousness, QA related data has been surveyed from quality assurance engineers who have worked on ISO 9000 certification activities and has been analyzed using relevant tabulations of five(5) scale or x2-homogeneity test method. Hypotheses to the unchange in the quality consciousness are tested in terms of x2-homogeneity in order to compare the consciousness of pre-certification with that of post-certification. The level of quality management of Korean manufacturing industry has been high-lighted by use of quality maturity grid.

The field of cytochrome P450 pharmacogenomics has progressed rapidly during the past 25 years. Recently, conjugating enzymes including sulfotransferase, acetyltransferase, glucuronosyltransferase and glutathione transferase have been also extensively studied. All the major human drug-metabolizing P450 enzymes and some conjugating enzymes have been identified and cloned, and the major gene variants that cause inter-individual variability in drug response and are related to adverse drug reactions have been identified. This information now provides the basis for the use of predictive pharmacogenomics to yield drug therapies that are more efficient and safer. Today, we understand which drugs warrant dosing based on pharmacogenomics to improve drug treatment. It is anticipated that genotyping could be used to personalize drug treatment for vast numbers of subjects, decreasing the cost of drug treatment and increasing the efficacy of drugs and health in general. It is assumed that such personalized P450 gene-based treatment which is so-called tailor(order)-made drug therapy would be relevant for 10-20% of all drug therapy in the future.

When conducting large-scale cohort studies, numerous statistical issues arise from the range of study design, data collection, data analysis and interpretation. In genomic cohort studies, these statistical problems become more complicated, which need to be carefully dealt with. Rapid technical advances in genomic studies produce enormous amount of data to be analyzed and traditional statistical methods are no longer sufficient to handle these data. In this paper, we reviewed several important statistical issues that occur frequently in large-scale genomic cohort studies, including measurement error and its relevant correction methods, cost-efficient design strategy for main cohort and validation studies, inflated Type I error, gene-gene and gene-environment interaction and time-varying hazard ratios. It is very important to employ appropriate statistical methods in order to make the best use of valuable cohort data and produce valid and reliable study results.

This paper reports the recent trends in active vibration control in Japan, especially, based on papers selected in the Proceedings of First International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (1st MOVIC) held at Yokohama, Japan on Sept.7-11, 1992. Firstly, it classifiers vibration control methods and vibration controllers, especially active dynamic absorbers which are widely used in mechanical and civil engineering. Secondly, it covers basic problems in the control of vibration of flexible structures such as formulating a reduced-order model required for designing vibration controller, proper arranging of sensors and actuators, and preventing of spillover instability. Finally, the practical use of control theories such as LQ control theory, $H^{\infty}$ control theory, neural network theory, and other topics are discussed..

As the delay of the Kyungbu High Speed Railroad, HST should use conventional line through Daegoo to Pusan until the new railroad build. High speed railroad noise is one of the main causes of environmental impact. Whenever HST on conventional railroad line is planned or a housing project near an existing railroad is proposed, an estimate of the relevant noise levels is usually required. For this, it is necessary to Quantify those parameters that affect the railroad noise. This paper deals with an estimation of high speed railroad noise on conventional line.
