Objectives : The aim of this study is to review the current trends in experimental studies on the acupuncture moxibustion treatment for visceral hypersensitivity. Methods : PubMed was searched for experimental studies about visceral hypersensitivity and acupuncture/moxibustion. Data were extracted and tabulated from the selected articles about experimental method, intervention, result and mechanism. Results : Total 23 articles were reviewed. Chronic visceral hypersensitivity animal model was applied in 17 studies (74%). Visceral hypersensitivity was measured by abdominal withdrawal reflex scoring or/and abdominal electromyogram. Acupoints like ST25, ST36, ST37, BL25, LI11, BL32 and PC6 were treated by electroacupuncture or moxibustion. All articles reported that electroacupuncture or moxibustion treatment is significantly effective in reducing visceral hypersensitivity. Treatment mechanisms were studied, related to mast cell, serotonin (5-HT) and receptor (5-HT3R and 5-HT4R), substance P (SP), vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), c-fos positive cell, corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), purinergic 2X (P2X)2, P2X3, P2X4, P2X7, N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor (NR1 and NR2B), prokinectin (PK) 1 and PK2. Conclusions : Evidences on acupuncture/moxibustion treatment for visceral hypersensitivity in animal studies warrant more research on effective acupoins, electro-acupuncture methods and treatment durations.
This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of coated urea complex fertilizer(CUC) on the growth and quality of rice in high-ridged dry seeding and infant -seedling machine transplanting on clay loam and sandy loam in Milyang, Korea, 1993. The CUC level applicated was 100 %, 80 %, 60% and 40% to standard application amount of fertilizer. Results obtained were as follows : 1. The nitrogen releasing rate in dry seeding was 83% for sandy loam, 81% in clay loam for 3.5 months after initial releasing, and in infant-seedling was 89% in both soil types for 4 months. 2. The degree of rice leaf color was the highest at the heading stage, and was high with increasing CUC application level regardless of cultural methods, especially was higher at harvesting stage in the 100% level of CUC to standard application amount of fertilizer than conventional fertilizer. 3. The perfect rice grain ratio was higher in infant-seedling than in dry seeding, but lowered with increasing CUC application level regardless of cultural methods. The green kerneled rice ratio among imperfect rice grain was high in dry seeding, and the notched belly rice kernel ratio was high in infant-than infant-seedling of the both soil types, and increased with increasing CUC application level. 4. Hon-value in rice grain was higher at the treatment of CUC application than conventional fertilizer in dry seeding. However, it was contrary result in infant seedling, and was low tendency with decreasing CUC application. On the other hand, the protein in rice grain was also same tendency of Hon-value. Cel-consistency related to eating quality was longer with increasing CUC application level regardless of cultural methods. However, there was no clear tendency at clay loam. 5. No significant difference between rice yield and CUC application in the range of 60% to 100% at both soil types in dry seeding was observed. These results appeared in clay loam under infant seedling except sandy loam. Accordingly, it was thought that 60% level of CUC to standard application amount of fertilizer could be applicated for growth and quality of rice.

Purpose:The gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) test results of girls with precocious puberty were analyzed to determine whether this test can efficiently and clearly differentiate between central precocious puberty (CPP) and other disorders. Methods:Clinical and laboratory data of 54 girls with precocious pubertal signs were reviewed. Intravenous GnRH test was performed with blood samples obtained at 0, 30, 60, and 90 minutes. A peak luteinizing hormone (LH) level of ${\geq}5.0IU/L$ was indicative of CPP. Results:Of the 40 girls with CPP, 36 (90.0%), 3 (7.5%), and 1 (2.5%) showed peak LH levels at 30, 60, and 90 minutes, respectively. A percentage of girls whose peak LH ${\geq}5.0IU/L$ up to 30, 60, and 90 minutes was 92.5%, 100%, and 100%, respectively. The peak LH/follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) ratio of girls with CPP was 0.89${\pm}$0.49 and was <1 in 16 of the 40 girls (40.0%). Girls with peak LH/FSH ratio of >1.0 showed higher chronological age (CA) ($8.3{\pm}0.6$ vs. $7.7{\pm}1.0$ years, P=0.033), bone age (BA) ($10.9{\pm}0.8$ vs. $9.7{\pm}1.1$ years, P=0.001), and BA-CA difference ($2.6{\pm}0.7$ vs. $2.0{\pm}0.7$ years, P=0.009) than those of girls with peak LH/FSH ratio of ${\leq}1.0$. Higher percentage of girls with peak LH/FSH ratio of >1.0 showed advanced breast development (${\geq}TannerIII$) (93.7% vs. 41.7%, P=0.001). Conclusion:LH levels after 30 and 60 minutes of intravenous GnRH administration are the most useful for diagnosing CPP in girls.
Purpose: Placental corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor type 1 (CRHR1) expression is reduced in pregnancies with abnormal placental function such as preeclampsia (PE), and the levels and/or function of CRHR1 are genetically influenced. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the c.33+8199C>T polymorphism in the CRHR1 gene and PE in a Korean population. Materials and Methods: Using a case-control design, the association between the CRHR1 polymorphism and the risk of PE was investigated in 203 individuals with PE and 211 normotensive controls. Genotypes were determined using a SNapShot kit and an ABI Prism 3100 Genetic analyzer. Results: Genotypes and allele frequencies for the CRHR1 polymorphism did not differ between PE and normotensive pregnancies. The variant T allele was more frequent than the ancestral C allele in both of the groups and was more frequent in the controls than in the cases. In risk analysis for PE, there was not an increased risk of preeclampsia in subjects who were concomitant homozygous rare allele genotypes (CC) (OR, 0.3; P=0.15) or heterozygous rare allele genotypes (TC) (OR, 0.8; P=0.29). There were no differences in the complications of PE such as severity or preterm delivery in patients with the CRHR1 polymorphism. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that the CRHR1 polymorphism was not associated with PE in the present Korean study group.
Purpose : There has been considerable disagreement regarding the most appropriate dosage of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist in cases of central precocious puberty. The aim of this study was to determine the appropriate dosage for suppression of the puberty in girls with central precocious or early puberty. Methods : Twenty-two girls with early puberty were randomly subjected to 3 types of dosages of leuprolide acetate for at least 6 months. The number of cases in groups 1, 2, and 3 were 7, 7, and 8, and dosages were 70, 90, and $110{\mu}g/kg/-month$, respectively. Height, weight, bone age, Tanner stage of breast development, and serum levels of LH, FSH, estradiol, and progesterone were measured before treatment and after 6 months of treatment. The number of cases of puberty suppression was compared using a modified puberty suppression score with a nonparametric chi-square test. Results : There were no significant differences of chronologic and bone ages among the groups. There was a significant decrease in height SDS gain after 6 months in group 3 (P<0.05) compared with groups 1 and 2. Serum levels of LH, FSH, estradiol and progesterone were all significantly decreased after treatment in all 3 groups (P<0.05). The number of cases of puberty suppression in each group were 4 (57%), 5 (71%), and 8 (100%). There was a significantly increased proportion of suppression of puberty in group 3 (P<0.05). Conclusion : It was necessary to use a higher dose of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist to suppress early puberty in girls; however further longitudinal study will be needed for their prognosis of final adult height.

Purpose : GnRH analogues(GnRHa) are used to treat central precocious puberty(CPP). However, in some patients, the GV decrease is so remarkable that it impairs predicted adult height(PAH); and there fore, the addition of growth hormone(GH) is suggested. We analysed the growth changes during two years and final adult height(FAH) in girls with idiopathic CPP treated with combined therapy, compared with those of girls treated with GnRHa alone. Methods : For the analysis, we classified the patients, who was treated for longer than two years, into three groups depending on the initial PAH and combination of GH; PAH_L, treated with GnRHa and PAH less than midparental height(MPH) - 5 cm. PAH_H, treated with GnRHa and PAH greater than MPH - 5 cm. GnRHa+GH, combined GH treatment, regardless of PAH before treatment. We analysed the GV and PAH change during the first two years and FAH. Results : In PAH_L, the PAH(SDS) at first year of therapy was significantly increased to $153.5{\pm}6.5cm(-1.4{\pm}1.3)$ from $149.7{\pm}6.4cm(-2.1{\pm}1.3)$ before treatment(P=0.004). In PAH_H, there was no significant increase in PAH during the two years of treatment. During the first year of combination of GH and GnRHa, GV and PAH increased significantly. We observed significant increases in FAH, comparing to the initial PAH in the PAH_L and GnRHa+GH groups. The height gains(FAH - initial PAH) were significantly higher in the PAH_L and GnRHa+GH groups than that in the PAH_H group. Conclusion : This study suggests the FAH and height gains are improved in patients, whose predicted adult height before treatment was shorter than those with higher predicted adult height, with the treatment of GnRHa alone or in combination with GH. GH could not improve the final adult height, but compensated the growth in patients whose growth velocity was decelerated by GnRHa alone.

Innovative prestressed steel plate girders were presented in this study. Hot-rolled H beams were loaded first, then relatively high-strengthsteel plates were welded on the top and bottom flanges of preloaded H beams. Finally, high prestressed plate (HiPP) girder was manufactured by simply releasing prestresses of rolled beams. To verify prestress distributions induced in this girder, the experimental study was conducted and some guidelines to manufacture these girders effectively were addressed. In addition, methods to determine the allowable bending stress of HiPP girders and to check welding stresses were addressed for design of temporary bridges. The efficiency and effectiveness of the present girder were demonstrated through design examples of temporary bridges adapting the prestress-induced girder or the plate girder of the same section without prestresses. As a result, it has been found to be possible that the span length of HiPP girders for temporary bridges is longer than that of girders without prestresses.
The industry of virtual reality has received huge attention again after releasing the advanced Head Mounted display Devices, such as, the Oculus Rift VR, Samsung Gear VR, and PlayStation VR. However, almost VR contents studios concentrating on the only visual stimulus, before getting the diversity of genre. We found that the reasons of this phenomenon were lacking of enough time for profound studies, developments, and seeking resources. Therefore, this research suggests that the designing method about VR contents through the game resource, as a structure of story, which can handle the visual flow and the psychological commitments, to improves VR industry. Also we established the theoretical base of various VR contents planning and producing for game designers.
Objective: The expression of CRF(corticotropin releasing factor), CRF-R(receptor) and CRF-BP(binding protein) in CNS neurons projecting to the stomach and ST36 using the pseudorabies virus in the rat was investigated. Methods: After survival times of 5 days following injection of PRV-Ba-Gal, The thirty rats were perfused, and their brain were frozen sectioned($30{\mu}m$). These sections were stained by PRV-Ba-Gal histochemical staining method and(or) CRF, CRF-R and CRF-BP immunohistochemical method. The common expressed areas of the brain projecting to the stomach and zusanli(ST36) following injection of PRV-Ba-Gal were observed with light microscope. Results: 1) The dense accumulation of CRF-immunoreactive terminals is seen in the area postrema, n. tractus solitarius, external zone of the median eminence, with some immunoreactive CRF also present in the internal zone. 2) Aggregates of CRF-R immunoreactive perikarya are found in area postrema, n. tractus solitarius, lateral reticular n., gigantocellular reticular n., locus coeruleues, paraventricular n. of hypothalamus, median eminence, preoptic n., arcuate n. and hind limb area of cerebral cortex. 3) Aggregates of CRF-BP immunoreactive perikarya are found in area postrema, n. tractus solitarius, lateral reticular nucleus, gigantocellular reticular n., locus coeruleues, paraventricular n. of hypothalamus, median eminence and arcuate n.. Conclusions : These results suggest that PRV-Ba-Gal labeled areas projecting to stomach and ST36 may be related to the central autonomic pathways. A part of CNS neurons projecting to the stomach and ST36 were related to expression of CRF, CRF-R and CRF-BP related to the stress in central autonomic center.

With advances in the methods of cancer treatment used in modern medicine, the number of breast cancer survivors has been consistently rising. As the number of women who wish to become pregnant after being diagnosed with breast cancer increases, it is necessary to consider fertility preservation in these patients. However, medical doctors may be unaware of the importance of fertility preservation among cancer patients because most patients do not share their concerns about fertility with their doctors. Considering the time spent choosing and undergoing treatment, an early referral to a reproductive specialist is the best way to prevent a delay in cancer treatment. Since it is not easy to make decisions on matters related to cancer diagnosis and fertility, patients should be provided with enough time for decision-making, and to allow for this, an early referral will provide patients with sufficient time to choose an appropriate method of fertility preservation. The currently available options of fertility preservation for patients with breast cancer include cryopreservation of embryos, oocytes, and ovarian tissue and gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist treatment before and during chemotherapy. An appropriate method of fertility preservation must be selected through consultations between individual patients and health professionals and analyses of the pros and cons of different options.
