La 첨가량에 따른 $Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12}$ 강유전체의 주파수특성 (The Ferroelectric Frequency characteristics of $Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12}$ ceramics with the variation of Lanthanum additives)

  • In recent year, Ferroelectric $BLT(Bi_{4-x}La_{x}Ti_{3}O_{12})$ is a promising candidate materials. This study was practiced to make good conditions of BL T targets. In this study, calcination and sintering temperature were kept at $750^{\circ}C$, $1100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hour respectively. the density obtained 7.612, 7.98, $7.877g/cm^{3}$ as $La_{2}O_{3}$ contents were 0.0mol%, 0.25mol%, 0.5mol%. Especially, the lanthanum content of 0.5 mol% measured C-axis (117) preferred orientation more than the others targets in the XRD. In $\varepsilon_{r}-f$ relationship using by HP 4194 A impedance analyzer, the 0.5 mol% observed above 200 relative dielectric constant. but the dissipation factor was higher than others targets at 100Hz~13MHz range. SEM photograph with the content of $La_{2}O_{3}$ was observed like rod and plate types.

엘리트 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 비젼 기반 로봇의 위치 제어 (Vision Based Position Control of a Robot Manipulator Using an Elitist Genetic Algorithm)

  • In this paper, we present a new approach based on an elitist genetic algorithm for the task of aligning the position of a robot gripper using CCD cameras. The vision-based control scheme for the task of aligning the gripper with the desired position is implemented by image information. The relationship between the camera space location and the robot joint coordinates is estimated using a camera-space parameter modal that generalizes known manipulator kinematics to accommodate unknown relative camera position and orientation. To find the joint angles of a robot manipulator for reaching the target position in the image space, we apply an elitist genetic algorithm instead of a nonlinear least square error method. Since GA employs parallel search, it has good performance in solving optimization problems. In order to improve convergence speed, the real coding method and geometry constraint conditions are used. Experiments are carried out to exhibit the effectiveness of vision-based control using an elitist genetic algorithm with a real coding method.

Simulation and Three-dimensional Animation of Skipjack Behavior as Capture Process during Purse Seining

  • We modeled fish school movements as a capture process in relation to the purse seine method using the three steps of the stimulus-response process (i.e., input stimuli, central decision-making and output reaction). Input stimuli of the model were categorized as either physical stimuli such as visual stimulus, sound stimulus, water flow, and weather or as biological stimuli such as species and size, swimming performance, sensual sensitivity, and presence of prey or predators. The output process determining the spatial orientation of the fish school for 3-D movements was based on swimming speed and angular change in the fish response, and these movements were animated as the relative geometry between the fish school and the purse seine. Simulations were carried out for skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) schools reacting to a pelagic purse seine in the southwest Pacific Ocean. Simulation results showed that escape ratios varied from 20 to 70% by the relevant ranges in the stimulus-response thresholds, swimming speeds, and angular changes of fish schools were similar to those observed in the field. Therefore, with knowledge of relevant parameters, this model can be used to predict capture and escape probabilities of purse seine operations for different fish species or conditions.

편광상이 고리 기반 2차 광섬유 유연 빗살 필터의 투과 스펙트럼 특성 분석 (Analysis of Transmission Spectrum Characteristics of Second-Order Fiber Flexible Comb Filter Based on Polarization-Diversity Loop)

  • In this paper, we propose a second-order fiber flexible comb filter based on a polarization-diversity loop(PDL). The proposed filter consists of a polarization beam splitter, four half-wave plates(HWPs), and three high birefringence fiber(HBF) segments. In the previous Solc-type second-order filter based on the PDL, HBF segments were fusion-spliced with a fixed angle offset between their principal axes with each other. But, the proposed filter implemented by inserting two HWPs between three HBF segments has a great flexibility in adjusting relative angular difference between the principal axes of two adjacent HBF segments. Owing to this flexibility, second-order transmission spectra, which had a channel spacing of ~0.8nm, could be interleaved by controlling the orientation angles of four HWPs. The output transmission spectra of the proposed filter were theoretically analyzed and experimentally verified.

Experimental research on masonry mechanics and failure under biaxial compression

  • This study aimed to develop a simple and effective method to facilitate the experimental research on mechanical properties of masonry under biaxial compressive stress. A series of tests on full-scale brick masonry panels under biaxial compression have been performed in limited principal stress ratios oriented at various angles to the bed joints. Failure modes of tested panels were observed and failure features were analyzed to reveal the mechanical behavior of masonry under biaxial compression. Based on the experimental data, the failure curve in terms of two orthotropic principal stresses has been presented and the failure criterion of brick masonry in the form of the tensor polynomial has been established, which indicate that the anisotropy for masonry is closely related to the difference of applied stress as well as the orientation of bed joints. Further, compared with previous failure curves and criteria for masonry, it can be found that the relative strength of mortar and block has a considerable effect on the degree of anisotropy for masonry. The test results demonstrate the validity of the proposed experimental method for the approximation of masonry failure under biaxial compressive stress and provide valuable information used to establish experimentally based methodologies for the improvement of masonry failure criteria.

이동 타겟 추적을 위한 N-R과 EKF방법의 로봇비젼제어기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Robot Vision Control Schemes of N-R and EKF Methods for Tracking the Moving Targets)

  • This paper presents the robot vision control schemes based on the Newton-Raphson (N-R) and the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) methods for the tracking of moving targets. The vision system model used in this study involves the six camera parameters. The difference is that refers to the uncertainty of the camera's orientation and focal length, and refers to the unknown relative position between the camera and the robot. Both N-R and EKF methods are employed towards the estimation of the six camera parameters. Based on the these six parameters estimated using three cameras, the robot's joint angles are computed with respect to the moving targets, using both N-R and EKF methods. The two robot vision control schemes are tested by tracking the moving target experimentally. Given the experimental results, the two robot control schemes are compared in order to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.

  • In order to investigate the effect of irradiation by $^{60}Co-\gamma$rays as well as the e thermal treatment on the dielectric deterioration in ethylene propylene rubber, insulating material for electric cables used in atomic power plants, charging discharging current, residual built- up voltage and dielectric properties are measu discussed in this study. Variance in the characteristic of relative dielectric constant as a function of tem was observed in relatively high dose of irradiation. Since glass transition tem appeared at tens of degree Celsius below zero, the characteristic is attributed orientation polarization. Dielectric loss is generally increased, with increasing d irradiation in the characteristic of dielectric loss as a function of temperature, No d loss by thermal treatment was observed. Dielectric resistance decreases with increa of irradiation in the characteristic of charging current as a function of temperature be considered that dielectric resistance seems to be recovered by thermal treatm characteristic of discharging current as a function of time in the specimen less ir become similar to that of the unirradiated, when thermal treated. A peak is shown residual built- up voltage as a function of time, and the corresponding time of the shorten as increasing dose of irradiation. It is also observed that the corresponding the peak is lengthened by thermal treatment.

Acoustic Properties of Bovine Cancellous Bone in the Frequency Range of 0.5-2 MHz

  • Most previous studies using ultrasound for osteoporosis diagnosis have employed ultrasound in a frequency range of 0.2-1 MHz. In this study, acoustic properties of the 12 defatted bovine cancellous bone specimens were investigated in vitro. Speed of sound (SOS) and broadband ultrasonic attenuation (BUA) were measured using three matched pairs of transducers with the center frequencies of 1, 2.25, and 3.5 MHz, respectively, in order to cover a broad frequency range of 0.5-2 MHz. The relative orientation between ultrasonic beam and bone specimens was the mediolateral (ML) direction of the bovine tibia. SOS showed significant linear positive correlations with apparent density for all three pairs of transducers of 1 MHz, 2.25 MHz, and 3.5 MHz, respectively. BUA showed relatively weak correlations with apparent density for the pairs of transducers of 1 MHz and 2.25 MHz. Furthermore, in the measurement with the pair of 3.5 MHz transducers, BUA was independent of apparent density. SOS and BUA were only weakly correlated with each other. The linear combination of SOS and BUA showed significant correlations with apparent density. These results suggest that the frequency range up to 1.5 MHz may be also useful in the osteoporosis diagnosis.

IMU/GPS와 카메라 좌표계간의 물리적 관계를 위한 수학적 모델링 (Mathematical Modeling for the Physical Relationship between the Coordinate Systems of IMU/GPS and Camera)

  • 모바일 매핑시스템 (Mobile Mapping Systems)에 장착된 카메라로부터, 3차원 데이터를 취득시, 취득된 3차원 데이터의 정밀도를 결정하는 중요한 요소 중 하나는 IMU/GPS와 카메라 좌표계간의 상대적인 위치(lever-arm)와 자세(bore-sight) 얼라인먼트이다. 기존 연구는 지상기준점(GPS)을 통하여 카메라의 절대표정을 계산하기 때문에, 하나의 좌표계 (GPS 좌표계) 상에서 이 얼라인먼트가 이루어진다. 이 방법은 GCP을 기본적으로 필요로 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 GCP가 필요하지 않고, 연관성이 없는 카메라 데이터와 IMU/GPS 데이터를 통하여 이 두좌표계 간의 얼라인먼트를 계산하는 수학적 모델링을 제시한다.

Design of Multisensor Navigation System for Autonomous Precision Approach and Landing

  • Precision approach and landing of aircraft in a remote landing zone autonomously present several challenges. Firstly, the exact location, orientation and elevation of the landing zone are not always known; secondly, the accuracy of the navigation solution is not always sufficient for this type of precision maneuver if there is no DGPS availability within close proximity. This paper explores an alternative approach for estimating the navigation parameters of the aircraft to the landing area using only time-differenced GPS carrier phase measurement and range measurements from a vision system. Distinct ground landmarks are marked before the landing zone. The positions of these landmarks are extracted from the vision system then the ranges relative to these locations are used as measurements for the extended Kalman filter (EKF) in addition to the precise time-differenced GPS carrier phase measurements. The performance of this navigation algorithm is demonstrated using simulation.
