헬스케어 재활훈련기 디자인 평가 요소 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of Evaluation Index Development of Healthcare Rehabilitation Device Design)

  • 오늘날 고령인구의 증가와 장애인 인구의 증가로 인해 재활훈련기의 수요가 증가하고 있고, 재활훈련기와 사용자간의 제공받아야 할 서비스에 대한 평가 요소의 요구가 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 재활훈련기 디자인 평가에 있어서 평가 방안을 모색하기 위해 디자인 평가를 위한 기본 요소를 파악하고 이를 통하여 재활의료전문가, 의공학자, 디자이너들의 토의 및 분석, 실험을 통하여 새로운 평가 요소들을 도출하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 기존 디자인 평가 요소들을 수집, 분석하여 10가지의 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소와 44개의 세부 평가항목을 구축하였다. 이는 앞으로 재활훈련기를 디자인하는데 있어서 중요한 평가 기준이 될 것이다. 둘째, 헬스케어 재활훈련기 디자인 개발 시 고려해야 할 디자인 평가요소로는 사용성, 인지성, 안전성, 학습성, 운동성, 내구성, 경제성, 공간성, 심미성, 환경성의 10가지 디자인 평가요소가 있다. 셋째, 환경성, 공간성, 인지성, 사용성, 경제성, 심미성의 디자인 평가요소는 제품디자인에서 공통적으로 고려해야 할 요소들이고, 학습성, 안전성, 운동성, 내구성의 요소는 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소에서 매우 중요하게 고려해야 할 요소이다. 넷째, 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소는 제품디자인요소에서 중요하게 고려되는 환경성, 공간성, 인지성, 사용성, 경제성, 심미성에 학습성, 안전성, 운동성, 내구성을 의 요소를 더해 중요하게 생각한 것이 기존 제품디자인 평가요소와 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소의 차이점이다. 본 연구에서는 10개의 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소와 44개의 세부 평가항목 구축에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 이는 전체적인 재활훈련기 디자인 평가요소만을 연구한 것으로, 향후연구에서는 시 제품 제작을 통하여 평가요소들을 실제 재활훈련기 디자인에 적용해 보고, 미진한 점들을 수정 보완할 예정이다.

힘측정기반 팔꿈치 재활로봇 설계 및 힘제어 (Design of an Elbow Rehabilitation Robot based on Force Measurement and its Force Control)

  • This paper describes the design of an elbow rehabilitation robot based on force measurement that enables a severe stroke patient confined to their bed to receive elbow rehabilitation exercises. The developed elbow rehabilitation robot was providewitha two-axis force/torque sensor which can detect force Fz and torque Tz, thereby allowing it to measure therotational force (Tz) exerted on the elbow and the signal force Fz which can be used as a safety device. The robot was designed and manufactured for severe stroke patients confined to bed, and the robot program was manufactured to perform flexibility elbow rehabilitation exercises. Asa result of the characteristics test of the developed rehabilitation robot, the device was safely operated while the elbow rehabilitation exercises were performed. Therefore, it is thought that the developed rehabilitation robot can be used for severe stroke patients.

재활전문병원 로비공간에 적용된 유니버설디자인 요소평가 (A Study on the Universal Design factors in the Lobby of the Rehabilitation's Hospital)

  • Because of the industrialization, the number of acquired handicapped people and chronic disable people is increasing. This phenomenon takes an increasing interest in the interior and environment of a lobby at the rehabilitation's hospitals. This study represents the basic information of an efficient use of spaces in the rehabilitation's hospitals through a research into the characteristics of universal designs in the rehabilitation's hospital lobbies from six hospitals which are located in Seoul and Kyung-gi area. According to the study result, although the handicapped people are accessible to the lobbies, the considerations of the hospital's facilities and their abilities are still insufficient.

사용자 안전요소를 고려한 상지 재활치료용 2축 델타로봇 개발 (Development of a 2-axis Delta Robot for Upper-limb Rehabilitation with Considering User Safety)

  • In this study, an end-effector robot which is a two-axis delta robot type for upper-limb rehabilitation is designed. It is not only rehabilitation functions that has designed robot but also mechanical and electrical safety devices were constructed to ensure patient safety. By constructing the two-axis delta robot is combined with an LM guide, the operating range and rigidity required for rehabilitation were secured. The electrical safety system which is required for the medical robot was designed, and a safety strategy was established to ensure patient safety and it is applied in the integrated safety circuit. The safety is considered in whole design process from the robot's mechanical design to the electric control unit.

뇌졸중환자를 위한 직교형 4개 손가락 재활로봇 기구설계 (Design of Rectangular-Type Four-Finger Rehabilitation Robot for Stroke Patient)

  • This paper describes the design of a rectangular-type four-finger rehabilitation robot for flexibility rehabilitation of stroke patients' fingers and other patient's paralyzed fingers. The four-finger rehabilitation robot is composed of a body and each finger rehabilitation robot instrument. The four-finger rehabilitation robot could exercise four fingers (forefinger, middle finger ring finger and little finger) of patient for their rehabilitation. The four-finger rehabilitation robot instruments move according to the trace which spread out the patient's fingers and then turn them inward for the fingers' flexibility, while at the same time performing the force control with the reference forces for fingers' safety, simultaneously. A control characteristic test of the developed rectangular-type four-finger rehabilitation robot was carried out, and the results confirmed that the robot could be used for the flexibility rehabilitation exercise for the fingers of normal person and patients.

  • 이 연구는 유휴산업시설의 문화재생 사업에 있어 건축계획의 물리적 디자인 요소를 적용하는 방식을 분석하기 위해, 정부에서 시행이 완료되어 운영되고 있는 대표적 유휴산업시설들을 대상으로 문화재생의 주요 평가 지표인 역사성, 상징성, 지속성을 구체화하고 있는 방안을 구조적, 재료적, 자원적 측면에서 보존, 보완, 개조의 틀로서 그 척도를 두어 분석함으로서 현재 문화재생 사업의 건축계획적 적용방식의 유형을 정리하여 이를 향후 새로운 재생 건축계획의 방식으로 확장하는데 기초자료로 활용되도록 한다.

어린이를 고려한 무장애공간 계획기준 및 적용실태 연구 - 어린이 재활병원의 외래부 공용공간을 중심으로 - (Research on the Design Guidelines and Implementations of Barrier-free Space for Children - Focused on the Common Spaces of the Outpatient Clinics in Pediatric Rehabilitation Hospitals -)

  • This research examines domestic and oversea's barrier-free design guidelines provided exclusively for children and their implementations in the common spaces of the outpatient clinics in two pediatric rehabilitation hospitals in Seoul. Based on literature review, a checklist was developed to compare various barrier-free design guidelines in consideration of children's accessibility in space. In addition, four spatial areas in the outpatient clinics of the two hospitals were investigated based on the checklist. As a result, the domestic and Japanese guidelines were aiming primarily to all user groups regardless of ages. Whereas in other oversea's guidelines, a number of barrier-free design standards exclusive for children were found in the facility items such as handrail, sink, urine, toilet, water fountain, chair, table, shelve, and so on, throughout the indoor waiting and sanitary spaces. Concerning implementations, most of the items in the indoor passage, waiting, and sanitary spaces of the two hospitals were not sufficiently facilitated enough to meet with the barrier-free design standards exclusive for children. As such, it is recommended to review and improve the current domestic barrier-free design guideline to accommodate various physical and spatial needs of children in all age groups and regardless of disability types, in the design of a pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the future.

발목재활을 위한 가상환경 및 햅틱스 (Virtual Environments and Haptics for Ankle Rehabilitation)

  • Traditional ankle rehabilitation procedures are tedious, repetitive, and require therapist's help. Therefore, they do not provide patients with good motivation to actively participate in the rehabilitation exercises. In addition, objective diagnosis and evaluation of the treatment progress have been difficult because records of exercise history are made by passive instruments from time to time. The virtual reality technology can make these procedures more fun so that patients can perform everyday rehabilitation exercises more actively. Moreover, haptics technology can give active resistance to the patients ankle motion to improve strength of muscles as well as can record ankle's motion and force histories for objective diagnosis and evaluation. This paper summarizes development of a virtual environment fur reforming the conventional ankle rehabilitation procedures. First of all, conventional rehabilitation procedures have been summarized. Secondly, haptic design and control, user interface design, virtual environment contents design are described. Lastly, mutual cooperation among many developers including medical doctors and therapists and future works are commented.

집단재활체조 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 우울과 재활동기에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Group Rehabilitation Exercise Program for Stroke Patients on Their Depression and Motivation of Rehabilitation)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of a group rehabilitation exercise program for stroke patients on their depression and motivation of rehabilitation. Methods: The design of this study was the nonequivalent control group non-synchronized quasi-experimental design. Data were collected from June through August in, 2012 in a rehabilitation hospital located in the C city. A total of 63 patients participated in the study [experimental group (n=32) and control group (n=31)]. The data were analyzed using $x^2-test$ and t-test. Results: The depression in the experimental group was lower than the control group (t=2.446, p=.017). The motivation of rehabilitation in the experimental group was higher than the control group (t=-4.90, p<0.001). Conclusion: Based on the results, the group rehabilitation exercise program for stroke patients is useful to decrease their depression and improve their motivation of rehabilitation. The program is considered to be an effective nursing intervention for decreasing the stroke patients' depression and improving their motivation of rehabilitation.

Practical Application of Life-Cycle Cost Effective Design and Rehabilitation of Bridges

  • Recently, the demand on the practical application of life-cycle cost effective design and rehabilitation of bridges is rapidly growing in civil engineering practice. However, in spite of impressive progress in the researches on the Life-Cycle Cost (LCC), the most researches have only focused on the theoretical point but did not fully incorporate the critical issues for the practical implementation. Thus, this paper is intended to suggest a systemic integrated approach to the practical application of various LCC methodologies for the design and rehabilitation of bridges, For that purpose, hierarchical definitions of LCC models are presented to categorize the approach of LCC assessment applicable for the practical implementation. And then, an integrated LCC system model is introduced with an emphasis on data uncertainty assessment and user-friendly knowledge-based database for its successful implementation. Finally, in order to demonstrate the LCC effectiveness for design and rehabilitation of real bridge structures, illustrative examples are discussed.
