This research studies effect of FDA regulations in pharmaceutical industry on new drug development. System dynamics is implemented to demonstrate dynamic relationship between FDA regulations and R&D costs, firm's profits, sales. This research is focused on clinical trials of new medical entity process 50~60% portion of total development cost. Simulation results say that firm's profit is more sensitive to increasing the regulation than alleviating the regulation and effect of regulation policy make different result depending on the intensity of regulation and policy direction. Our simulation model provides the instrumental means for the policy makers and strategic decision in pharmaceutical industry.

Emotion regulation has been suggested as a pathway through which personality traits (e.g., extraversion or neuroticism) affect psychological well-being. However, the pathway needs further investigation across cultures due to variations in parts of the relationship reported in recent culture research. With an aim of improving current understanding of the pathway, we investigated the role of emotion regulation mediating the link between personality traits and well-being across two college samples from different cultural backgrounds: Korea and the United States (US). Results of mediation analysis revealed that the extraversion-well-being relationship was fully mediated by the degree to which individuals regulate negative emotions in both Korean and US samples. However, the neuroticism-well-being relationship was partially mediated by emotion regulation in the US sample, while it was fully mediated in the Korean sample. The role of emotion regulation differently functioning across cultures suggests the importance of investigating cultural-specific mechanism of psychological processes.

현재 제정 중에 있는 한국전기규정(KEC)은 국제전기표준인 IEC를 기반으로 제정 중에 있으며, 이에 따라 과거의 기준과 다른 IEC 기반의 전선 굵기, 차단용량, 접지방법 등을 적용할 수 있게 되었다. 그중에서 전선의 굵기와 차단기의 차단용량과 관련된 사항은 이미 국내 기술기준에 반영되어 적용되고 있다. 그러나 접지방법 및 체계에 대한 사항은 아직도 적용을 위해 충분하게 논의되지 않은 상태이다. 따라서 IEC를 기반으로 시설된 전기설비의 검증방안을 모색하여 KEC의 조기정착 및 전기설비안전을 확보하고자 한다.

This study investigated the quality of after-school programs focused on artistic-physical activities, children's emotional regulation and social competence. The subjects were 224 elementary school children (1st through 6th grades) and 41 teachers. The measures were questionnaire(after-school activities), Assessment Profile for Early Childhood Programs(school-age), the Emotional Regulation Scale. and the Social Competency Scale. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's a, frequency, percentile, mean, and t-test. The results indicated that emotional regulation and, social competence were significantly different according to the quality of after-school programs： Children in a higher group of curriculum quality and interaction with teacher had better emotional regulation than did children in a lower group. Children in a higher group of curriculum quality and scheduling had better social competence(leadership and competence) than did children in a lower group.

Deregulation is not a matter or problem to be resolved simply by revising a law or a system in a short period of time. Rather, it should be implemented at a steady pace on the basis of a full understanding of the relationships between government regulation and the government's role, taking into account the inherent functions of the market. Moreover, arguments about government regulation and its deregulation vary according to viewpoints and approaches on the part of parties concerned. This makes it more difficult to form a consensus or reach a conclusion in recognizing and resolving the basis of problems at issue. This paper aims to review the shipping industry deregulation of major countries, to analyze Korea's situation and problems of shipping regulation, and to suggest it's improving methods. Although government regulation is a sensitive policy issue, this paper remains relatively at the basic research. Regulation problems should be tackled by interdisciplinary approach. A specific approach in regulation study could not explain exactly the causes and results of government policy

The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems of present general clause to bring about consumer damages and to search for means to regulate general clause. For the purpose of this study, datas of the research on the actual condition about various trade general clause were used. And the research about various trade general clause was enforced by the government from September to December in 1984. The kind of general clause of an object of analysis is credit card, sales by visit, insurance trade, and travel intercession. As the result of analysis, many problems are found in every general clause and consumer damage by general clause are proved to be a serious state. As the means of the regulation of general clause, there are judicial regulation, administrative regulation, legislative regulation, and the establishment of a supervision committee of general clause. These four means must be cooperated mutually for the substantial regulation.

This study investigated the relation between preschoolers' individual and parents 'characteristics and preschoolers' emotional understanding and regulation. Subjects were 2004 and 5-year-old children and their parents. Interview tasks were used as research instruments used to measure preschoolers 'emotional understanding and regulation. Preschoolers' temperament and parents characteristics were measured by questionnaires based on several previous studies. The results revealed that preschooler's emotional understanding and regulation were significantlv different according to mothers' attitude style, emotional expressiveness, and attitude toward children's emotional expressiveness. The results are consistent with recent research showing that parents emotional socialization may be important for preschoolers' emotional understanding and regulation.

The present study aims to examine the relations between emotion regulation, aggression and school adjustment of boys and girls. A total of 321 5th-6th grades students were selected for the study. The data was collected via questionnaires. As results, there were some significant differences between boys and girls in overt aggression and peer adjustment. It was also found that emotion regulation, aggression and school adjustment were significantly correlated. And school adjustment was influenced by emotion regulation as well as overt and relational aggressions. Finally, only for boys, the relations between children's emotion regulation and school adjustment were mediated by their aggression.

As a preliminary research to provide amendment for the engine performance test regulation of two-wheeled vehicles, the engine performance data are investigated in terms of maximum torque, rated power, and engine speed of motorcycles on sales in Korean market. Based on the engine performance database officially published to consumers, some forecasted problems are discussed when the maximum torque and the rated power are measured under the present test standards. EU and Korea regulations on engine performance test are carefully compared in terms of the accuracy of measurement devices, test procedures including data acquisition method, and allowable range of rated power measurement. Complementary items are discussed to eliminate ambiguities in the present regulation and to construct rational regulation system.
