지방자치시대의 도래와 함께 각 지자체에서는 중앙정부로부터의 분권, 분산을 통한 국토의 균형적 활성화를 도모하고 있다. 이러한 연장선상에서 각 지역에서는 지역적 활성화를 도모하기위한 방법으로 지역적 아이덴티티의 중요성을 인식하기 시작했고, 이러한 인식에서 지역의 자원을 이용한 브랜드가 개발되었다. 그러나 상당수의 브랜드들이 지역적 아이덴티티에 대한 분석과 전략적 차별화를 고려하지 않는 개발로 유사 브랜드가 난립하게 되는 요인을 제공하는 것 또한 현실이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 그 지역의 특산물 브랜드개발에 있어서 고려해야할 지역적 특성과 소비자 의식 등을 여수시의 지역성을 대표하는 수산물 브랜드개발 사례를 통하여 제시하고자 한다. 지역적 특성을 브랜드개발 전략과 브랜드 아이덴티티요소에 적극적으로 적용하고, 그 지역에서 개발된 브랜드가 파워 브랜드로 포지셔닝 하기 위한 사후관리 및 홍보방안을 제시함으로서 수산물 브랜드화의 효과적 방향 설정에 기여하고자 하였다.

Asan city has many strengths, for examples, the distinction of innovation ability, several places with clean environmental resources, conventional-cultural resources and favorable conditions of location in regional agriculture development. But it has not devised the comprehensive development plan for regional agriculture that is integrating natural, cultural and industrial resources. So the plan linked with those resources should be to promoted to develop agricultural production, marketing and regional economy. And a development strategy is to have the system of agricultural independence within Asan. Namely, originality, identity and cooperative spirit in economic and social-cultural aspects of Asan agriculture are needed, which are a great help to settle agricultural issues in Asan itself And the governance system needs to be introduced that has the main bodies of Asan agriculture, so as to promote agricultural policy.

This paper studies the regional identifiability of spatially-varying parameters in distributed parameter systems of hyperbolic type. Let Ω be a bounded domain of R$^n$and let Ωo be a subregion of the closed domain Ω. The distributed parameter systems having unknown parameters defined on Ω are described by the second order evolution equations in the filbert space L$^2$(Ω) and the observations are made on the subregion Ωo ⊂ Ω. The regional identifiability is formulated as the uniqueness of parameters by the identity of solutions on the subregion. Several regional identifiability results of the spatially-varying parameters of hyperbolic distributed parameter systems are established by means of the Riesz spectral representations.

The paper deals with recent paradigm shift in German environmental policy, fundamentally modifying the German society towards a sustainable future development. Key elements of this development are forceful climate protection measures to contribute to global climate protection strategy and to fulfil international conventions, supplemented by a comprehensive strategy to promote the adaptation to climate change, the nuclear power phase out in the medium term, and innovative landscape and regional planning projects to strengthen regional identity and economic power. All this components are,complemented by a financial support program including incentives, tax reductions, and research funding.

As architecture has a role of vessel that contains human life, architecture of museums in a region must be a vessel that contains identity of the region. Jeju Province possesses excellent natural landscape acknowledged by the world. As such, architectural design of museums in Jeju region, differentiated in terms of natural, humanistic and cultural characteristics from other regions, must include identity of Jeju. Jeju has established and is operating so many museums with different themes that it is referred to as the heaven of museums. In addition, museums as cultural facilities must be the measure of cultural level representing regional identity and perform the role of advance guard that leads architectural culture of the region. Also, such excellent architectural asset is an important landscape element that increases value of the region. Based on Landscape Management Guideline established in 2009 by Jeju Special Self-governing Province under such critical mind, this study will support design problems and improvements of museums through case study and analysis on design characteristics of national and private museums in Jeju. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to provide basic data to be pursued by future museums that contain identity of Jeju, based upon the results of analysis described above.

There has been a project in Japan recently to develop the mixed-use facility in order to help regenerate its city's vitality. They must make efficient use of resources that contains historical and local identity. In contrast, Korea hasn't considered developing their mixed-use facilities for maintaining their historical identity. This research will analyze how locality is reflected in the 8 mixed-use facilities in Japan. The research method was as follows: Preparatory study and literature research were conducted to extract the elements of locality shown in the mixed-use facilities in Japan. According to the results, the peculiarities of locality are as follows: 1) It's important to make the most of the local Identity by reflecting on the historical peculiarity of the region. 2) Nature and its environmental surroundings should be considered when constructing buildings in order to revitalize its local identity. 3) In the perception aspect, when a mixed-use facility is open for visit, the negative elements such as the 'peripheral regional gap' that may be felt by the visitor must be kept to the minimum.

The purpose of this study is to accumulate basic data to establish planning direction and planning factors for the environment-friendly apartment complex. For this purpose, the survey has been conducted to residents living in an apartment housing and graduate students, architects and research experts in the field. The major findings of this study are as follows; 1) The basic concept of planning factors for environment-friendly apartment complex are energy saving, resources saving, minimizing environment pollution, natural harmony, regional identity and pursuit of residents' health & amenity. 2) For the planning factors of environment-friendly apartment complex, the residents had a great regard for aspect of Low-Impact (energy saving, resources saving, minimizing environment pollution). The experts, on the other hand, had a great regard for aspect of High-contact (natural harmony, regional identity). 3) It was increase of prime cost that the residents and experts regarded as the most important problem of planning and purchasing of environment-friendly apartment. It thus appears that the promotion of environmental consciousness of residents taking in the portion of increased cost is crucial parts and also that the role of the connected aspects such as administration, construction companies and residents must be redefined in order to manage problems caused in process of the development of it.

재미한인2세는 미국에서 태어나서 영어로 교육을 받고 자란 세대인데, 이들은 영어를 잘 구사하고 미국문화에 익숙하기 때문에 다양한 전문직에 진출하고 있다. 한인2세 성인들은 미국에서 출생하여 미국 문화에 동화되고 미국식 사고방식과 행동방식에 익숙해져 미국인 정체성을 내면화하게 된다. 미국의 대다수 한인교회의 운영이나 설교에서 한인1세들은 중심적 역할을 맡고 한인2세들은 극히 부차적인 역할을 맡고 있는데, 근래 상당수의 한인2세 성인들이 한인교회를 떠나고 있다. 또한 재미한인사회에서 한인2세 성인의 인구 비중이 점차로 커지고 있기 때문에 일부 한인교회에서는 영어예배를 제공하고 있다. 미국의 한인사회에서 한인2세들의 영향력은 점차로 커질 것이기 때문에 한인2세들의 교회 활동과 정체성 문제는 미국의 한인사회 미래를 예측하는 데 매우 중요한 연구주제가 된다.

This study aims to identify the characteristics of expression of place identity shown in public design of Choryang Ibagugil in Dong-gu, Busan and analyze them from physical aspects and from psychological ones. Choryang Ibagugil has special historicity indicating that it is a hillside road(Sanbokdoro) dwelling site created after the 6.25 Korean War and the quintessence of Busan. In addition, the site is a good example that used the topographic characteristics as they were and used the road for movement called as 'gil' to design public environment. Ibagugil connected to Sanbokdoro (i.e. Mangyang-ro) starting from the big road (Busan Station) where there was a large floating population represented the regional identity to public design by the medium of 'gil.' As a result of analyzing the characteristics of expression of place identity based on the current status discovered, our conclusions could be drawn as follows: First, place forms identity under interpersonal relationships and there is a story on the lives of people in the contexts between place and identity. Second, place identity is an independent specialty of a certain place and expression of place identity into public design makes the place more place-like. Ibagugil expressed its identity while adapting to the topographic characteristics of hillside road(Sanbokdoro). Third, adjacent public buildings were included into Ibagugil, thus highlighting the placeness, although it is considered that it is ambiguous to determine it as public design in the current-status analysis. Fourth, from the public value aspect, slumized hillside road(Sanbokdoro) was improved, which led to improvement in quality of environment and improvement in pride of local residents. Resultingly, it can be said that the place identity appeared in the public design of Choryang Ibagugil were the stories that happened in this place. Moreover, the indication of future image of how the place will be developed in the future makes the value of the place more significant. Therefore, in public design for expressing place identity, utilization of independent speciality of the site is considered to be an important factor. By doing so, 'place becomes a real place' and 'place can get an independent identity.' Going further, it comes to get the characteristics of 'being the place as it is.'

The United States of America is privileged in that social stratification is not directly linked to the division of powers. Nonetheless, America endured the devastating Civil War only to consolidate her national identity when a nation was not defined. In fact, state governments preexisted as a sovereign long before the federal government came into existence as a national government. As a consequence, intergovernmental relations have persistently been contested long after the Civil War ended. In contrast, the European Union was founded on the political will to establish regional integration such that her member states would never repeat the bloodshed in catastrophic wars. Since the principle of subsidiarity precipitated political endeavor in regional integration, the EU developed into a bifurcated system of transnational and international organizations. In this paper, I evaluate the US and the EU by applying the perspective of federalism in which separation and integration are perennially at tension.
