천연왁스를 이용한 화장품 첨가용 비타민 C의 코팅 (Coating of Vitamin C Using Natural Wax as a Cosmetic Additive)

  • Vitamin C or L-ascorbic acid, an essential nutrient for humans with antioxidative property, was coated with natural wax to be used as functional additives for cosmetics. Coating of vitamin C was performed using carnauba wax and olive wax in self-designed reaction chamber for 60 min. The yield of coated vitamin C with carnawuba wax and olive wax were up to $94.6{\pm}1.2%$ and $82.5{\pm}1.4%$, respectively. The stability of the carnauba wax-coated vitamin C in the lotion was improved 17.8% than that of uncoated vitamin C during 30 day storage at $25^{\circ}C$. Color and the layer separation of the lotion added with the coated vitamin C showed better property than with the uncoated vitamin C. The coated vitamin C can be applied to cosmetic ingredients as a stable additive.

  • 빈번한 가뭄의 피해는 수자원의 양극화를 초래하고 있다. 국내에서는 2011년부터 2017년 사이에 국지적이고 주기적인 이상 가뭄이 지속되어 10년 가뭄 빈도로 설계된 소규모 저수지의 저수율이 감소하였다. 이러한 저수율의 감소는 수질을 떨어트릴 수 있고 이미 확보된 용수의 사용마저 제한할 수 있다. 따라서 가뭄에 대비하고 극복하기 위해서는 수질관리와 가뭄 빈도의 재산정이 필요하다. 이 연구는 저수지에서 수질 변화의 원인인 잠재적 오염물질을 추정하고, 가뭄 기간 동안 저수지의 저수율 감소와 그에 따른 수질 변화를 검토한 것이다.

  • Reservoir storage and water level information is essential for accurate drought monitoring and prediction. In particular, the agricultural drought has increased the risk of agricultural water shortages due to regional bias in reservoirs and water supply facilities, which are major water supply facilities for agricultural water. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the available water capacity of the reservoir, and it is necessary to determine the water surface area and water capacity. Remote sensing provides images of temporal water storage and level variations, and a combination of both measurement techniques can indicate a change in water volume. In areas of ungauged water volume, satellite remote sensing image acts as a powerful tool to measure changes in surface water level. The purpose of this study is to estimate of reservoir storage and level variations using satellite remote sensing image combined with hydrological statistical data and the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI). Water surface areas were estimated using the Sentinel-2 satellite images in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do from 2016 to 2018. The remote sensing-based reservoir storage estimation algorithm from this study is general and transferable to applications for lakes and reservoirs. The data set can be used for improving the representation of water resources management for incorporating lakes into weather forecasting models and climate models, and hydrologic processes.

  • '대유미'는 국립식량과학원 바이오에너지작물센터에서 2008년에 육성한 바이오에탄올용 고구마 신품종으로 주요 특성과 수량성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 넝쿨색은 녹색, 잎모양은 심장형, 잎색은 녹색을 띤다. 또한 엽맥색은 녹색으로 자색을 포함하지 않으며, 끝잎색은 녹색, 잎자루색은 녹색이다. 2. 괴근 모양은 방추형으로 껍질색은 홍색을 띤다. 육색은 대조품종 '율미'가 담홍색인데 비하여 농황색이다. 상품성을 좌우하는 표피의 형태는 골파짐이 없이 메끄럽다. 3. 토양 병해충에 대한 저항성을 조사한 결과 대조품종인 '율미'에 비하여 선충 및 덩굴쪼김병은 '중강', 검은썩음병과 연부병도 '중강'을 나타낸다. 또한 저장 중 부패율은 3.0%로 저장성이 강하다. 4. 전분가는 25.9%로 높고, 에탄올 수량은 418 (L/톤, 건조고구마)으로 높다. 총당 함량은 '대유미'가 2.46 g/100 g(dw)으로 '율미'에 비하여 62% 수준이다. 당 종류별로는 Sucrose가 2.08 g/100 g (dw)으로 가장 많이 함유되어 있다. 5. 전분의 최고점도(Peak viscosity)가 높아 전분의 탄력성이 좋으며, 응집점도는 노화도가 빠르다. 호화개시 온도는 $76.2^{\circ}C$로 낮은 온도에서 호화된다. 6. 수량은 조기재배의 25.0 t/ha, 만기 및 적기재배는 27.80t/ha으로 수량이 높다.

  • '연자미'는 국립식량과학원 바이오에너지작물센터에서 2008년에 육성한 식용 자색고구마 신품종으로 주요 특성과 수량성을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 넝쿨길이는 284cm로 길며. 넝쿨색은 녹자색, 잎모양은 심장형, 잎색은 녹색을 띤다. 또한 잎뒷면의 엽맥색은 녹색으로 자색을 포함하지 않으며, 끝잎색은 녹색, 잎자루색은 녹색이다. 2. 괴근 모양은 장방추형으로 껍질색은 자색을 띤다. 육색은 대조품종 '신자미'가 농자색인데 비하여 자색이다. 상품성을 좌우하는 표피의 형태는 골파짐이 없이 메끄럽다. 3. 토양 병해충에 대한 저항성을 조사한 결과 대조품종인 '신자미'에 비하여 선충 및 덩굴쪼김병은 중강, 검은썩음병과 연부병도 중강을 나타낸다. 또한 저장 중 부패율은 4.2%로 저장성이 강하다. 4. 품질특성은 '신자미'에 비하여 식미가 우수하다. 육질은 중간질이며 당도가 15.3 $Brix^{\circ}$로 '신자미'보다 높다. 폴리페놀함량 및 항산화활성이 높아 기능성이 우수하다. 5. 수량은 조기재배의 경우 26.9 t/ha으로 '신자미'에 비하여 108%로 수량이 증수된다. 만기 및 적기재배는 25.9 t/ha으로 '신자미' 대비 115%로 수량이 높다.

전통양념으로 발효숙성하여 진공포장한 돼지고기의 저장 중 품질 변화 (Changes of Qualities in Vacuum Packed Fermented Pork Using a Korean Traditional Sensoning During Storage)

  • Outside muscle of pork ham were cut to cube(7 $\times$ 10 $\times$2 ern) and three Korea traditional seasonings such as soybean paste(Tl), garlic paste(T2), red pepper paste(T3) were seasoned by the proportions of meat to seasonings(1 : 1), respectively. The seasoned samples were fermented by fill into plastic box at 0 $\pm$ 1 $^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. And then, the fermented meat from each pack was vacuum-packaged and stored at 0 $\pm$ 1 $^{\circ}C$ for up to 9 weeks. pH and shear force were decreased during storage periods in all treatment groups and WHC was decreased with storage in T2. The saccarinity of T1 was increased and salinity increased during storage in all treatment groups. pH of T2 was increased than that of other treatments, while decreased saccarinity and shear force of in T2. The salinity were higher in the order of T1 > T2 > T3. Volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) value were increased with storage in all treatment groups. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TSARS) value of Tl was increased with storage while it was decreased T2. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TSARS) value was higher in the order of T1 > T3 > T2 at 9weeks of storage. Surface meat L' values of T1 was increased with storage and T3 decreased with storage whereas, surface meat a' values of T1 was decreased with storage, and T2 was increased with storage. Surface meat b' values of T3 was decreased with storage. Escherichia coli were decreased during storage periods in all treatment groups.

가축분뇨 공동자원화시설 관리운영 실태조사 (A Survey on Present Conditions of Operational Management in the Animal Manure Public Resource Center)

  • This survey was conducted to investigate the present conditions of operational management in the 45 animal manure public resource center (APRC) in Korea. The regional distribution, processing capacity per year, capacity of liquid fertilizer storage tank, solid-liquid separation, utilization of facilities, odor reduction facility, on-site odor strength, complained in the community, liquid fertilizer sprayed area, use the Agrix, land application recipe, composting degree, quality management and general grading were surveyed and evaluated. General grading was divided with 5 stages (very good, good, fair, lack and bad). The number of evaluated "very good" animal manure public resource center was 7, and "good" was 5 and more than "fair" was 27. However, the number of evaluated negatively including "lack" and "bad" was occupied as 40% of the 45 animal manure public resource center.

Estimation of irrigation return flow from paddy fields based on the reservoir storage rate

  • This study proposed a simple estimation method for irrigation return flow from paddy fields using the water balance model. The merit of this method is applicability to other paddy fields irrigated from agricultural reservoirs due to the simplicity compared with the previous monitoring based estimation method. It was assumed that the unused amount of irrigation water was the return flow which included the quick and delayed return flows. The amount of irrigation supply from a reservoir was estimated from the reservoir water balance with the storage rate and runoff model. It was also assumed that the infiltration was the main source of the delayed return flow and that the other delayed return flow was neglected. In this study, the amount of reservoir inflow and water demand from paddy field are calculated on a daily basis, and irrigation supply was calculated on 10-day basis, taking into account the uncertainty of the model and the reliability of the data. The regression rate was calculated on a yearly basis, and yearly data was computed by accumulating daily and 10-day data, considering that the recirculating water circulation cycle was relatively long. The proposed method was applied to the paddy blocks of the Jamhong and Seosan agricultural reservoirs and the results were acceptable.

경북지역과 미국 뉴욕주 패킹하우스의 운영 실태 비교분석 (The Comparative Study of Packing House System for Apple Industry between Kyungpook Province and New York State)

  • Packing house is the regional center in which packing, sorting, storage, and selling of harvested fruits are taken care of all together. It is located at the producing centers, and commercializes their apples. Apple grading policies of chief producing centers should concentrate on enhancing functions and roles of its local packing house. Consequently new packing house policies for enacting individual grading standards at national and local levels should be developed. This study is to develop Korea packing house on the basis of field survey in New York State. Increasing the utilization of packing house is the main key to the success of apple grading project. Therefore, effective arrangement and utilization of sorting facilities should be evaluated and new system which enables apple farms, local cooperatives, and corporations to joint-utilize packing house must to be established.

  • This study was carried out to evaluate changes in the characteristics of the fermented pork using a Korean traditional seasonings. Biceps femoris were cut to cube(7 ${\times}$ 12 ${\times}$ 2 em) and three Korean traditional seasonings such as soybean paste(Tl), garlic paste(T2), red pepper paste(T3), were seasoned by the proportions of meat to each seasonings(l: 1), respectively. The seasoned samples were fermented at 0 $\pm$ 1 $^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. Sensory evaluation did not significantly differ between all treatments. The highest pH among treatments were shown in T2, wheres T3 showed the lowest value. The highest saccarinity was shown in T2, followed by T3. Salinity was shown to be higher in all treatments. Shear force value was the highest in T2 and T3. VBN and TBARS increased during storage. The total bacterial counts was highest of storage 21 days. E. coli. was higher in the order of T2 > T3 > TI. Lactobacilli spp. was higher in the order of T2 > T1 > T3.
