In Korea, the private education spending of the households accounted for about 3% of GDP and such a education fever has been associated with the financial burden of households. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of regional education environment on the private education expenditure of the households using the Korean Labor and Income Panel Survey(KLIPS) data. The quantile regression model is used to examine whether the effects of regional education environment such as the degree of education fever differ across the 'quantiles' in the conditional distribution of private education expenditure. The empirical results showed that the amount of private education expenditure is under the influence of the regions where the households reside. In addition, it was found that the private education spending of the households in the upper quantile groups are more likely to be affected by the regional education environments than those in the lower quantile groups.

The goal of this paper is to develop a regional environmental education program using a regional environment of dam, and to set up a regional education for sustainable development with applying that program to the students. This environmental education program is based on Hungerford's project, which consists of 4 subjects. They are good and bad influences of dam environment which students can experience easily in daily life. Through the volunteering activities such as discussion, search and observation, pre- and post-test, study of value, presentation and game, students can decide which is a favorable strategy for preserving dam facilities well. And they are encouraged to take part in environmental preservation and practice what they learn everyday in the community. The following are the outcomes of this environmental education program: First, students are much more interested in regional and general environmental problems than before and participate in conservation activities voluntarily. Second, students express their willingness for the prevention of water pollution in Hapcheon Dam by collecting garbages and reducing synthetic detergent. Third, students demand some measures which connect the school program to citizen groups for the prevention of water pollution in Hapcheon Dam.

Educational environment that change rapidly, trial and error of system, breakdown of school environment by this and private education expense increase etc. are big social problem that we are facing present. Government is enforcing recognizing these problems and develops various program but the change and expansion of school facilities to achieve various program such as those are still unprepared. Now, important agenda that is lifelong education concept that is always can reeducate with social problem such as school leaving is come to the fore. So, specification high school for vocational education and alternative education cope in educational system and educational environment that is changed newly in existent school system. As the beginning step of the purpose of research, this study compares the attempt of school types and change of the school operation system for alternative education by between Korea and Japan and survey some regional cases. And the specification high school for alternative education which correspond to changed educational environment newly and architectural planning of educational facility that can activate those will be done. Also, this study aims that propose basic data that raise school facilities and educational environment by establishing guide line of optimum facilities for specification high school that wish to reorganize again or establish newly using existent school facilities and presents.

For all the region is the basic unit of geographical learning and the grounds of human activities, regional learning can't possible be carried out at the class. Because there are very few regional learning materials that are applicable to class and can be expanded to geographical basic concept. This paper aims to regulate the construction principles of regional learning and select the contents of regional learning. Firstly, the six basic concepts of geographical education be made a selection of the construction principles of regional learning: human-environment, location, region, interaction, change, scale. And then, I suggest the upper five subject that be based on the results of systematical geography. Those are the necessity and method of regional apprehension, the physical environment and the regional human-life, the resource and industrial activities. the regional life-space's formation and change, and the changing world and region. And I propose the subdivided the mid and the lower subject that be reflected the learner's need and the social demand, and could be experienced the results of geography and the everyday life. For the best regional learning, these subjects can be combined one or more in various scale.

The purpose of this study was to plan the elementary school facilities according to the consideration of the regional characteristics and the analysis on the ranking of program by survey, the demand of users, the system of teaching-learning and relationship of facilities for lifelong education. The main results of this study are as follows : 1. The program of the lifelong education by the regional groups and users is the same as
