This paper presents a high performance 2D PE architecture for H.264 Motion Estimation(ME). While existing 2D PE architectures reuse the overlapped data of adjacent search windows scanned in 1 or 3-way, the new architecture scan adjacent windows and multiple paths instead of single raster and zigzag scanning of adjacent windows in 4 way(up,down,left,right). By reducing the redundant access factor by 1.4, the new 4-way search window improve the memory bandwidth by 70-58% compared with 1/3-way search window. With Altera Stratix-III implementation, the high performance 2D PE architecture deals with SD ($720{\times}480$) video of 2 reference frame, $48{\times}48$ search area and $16{\times}16$ macroblock by 30fps at 97.1MHz.

This paper proposes an architecture for high-speed data processing of the DF-DPD. The DF-DPD have the architecture feedbacking the detected phase to reduce the noise of the previous symbol as phase reference. However, the feedback of the detected phase results in lower data processing speed than that of the conventional differential phase detection. In this paper, an architecture is proposed for high-speed data processing of the differential phase detectors with decision feedback in the DF-DPD.

In this paper, we suggest a PLCS-based architecture and operation method for providing interoperability in SBA integrated collaborative environment. Specifically, the suggested architecture is based on the distributed collaborative environment which employes the PLCS application protocol and integrated repository for representing and sharing product data information between collaborators remotely located. As an example of data representation, a military vehicle system is considered and two kinds of information, including state and activity/process, are explained. We expect that the suggested architecture can be used as a reference model to develop an efficient SBA integrated collaborative environment.

To support and protect firefighters in the scene of disaster, this research suggests an Internet of Things (IoT) system architecture that can be configurable and applicable to firefighting and rescue in various disaster situations. The proposed approach provides increased adaptability and reusability of systems compared to existing approaches. To validate the feasibility of the approach, a system of systems based on the architecture was developed and successfully tested for a specific firefighting and rescue scenario in a given test environment.

As the amount of IT investment and the complexity of information systems in public agencies have been increased, efficient and structured management of IT systems is more emphasized. For the Korean government. ITA (Information Technology Architecture) is one of the core parts of the e-Government initiative. Also introducing and managing ITA in organizations is mandated by law in Korea. The objective of the paper is to study whether using ITA in public agencies is related with their IT capability and IT performance or not. A questionnaire had been designed for the purpose, and a survey had been performed on Korean public agencies. The survey results show that using ITA has influence on relation and technology capability. However, ITA does not influence on human capability and IT performance. The reason why using ITA is linked to relation and technology capability is that ITA includes relationship between both business and technology. Also ITA provides a technical reference model (TRM) and standard profile (SP), so it has influence on technology capability.

Typical meteorological data is fundamental to computer simulation introduced for environment-friendly architecture designs. Therefore, in order to improve accuracy of computer simulation, typical meteorological data should be established. By examining how to choose typical meteorological data, this study selected the optimized weight factor for TRY where weighting factor was not clearly set. As a result, the same weighting factor was applied to each climatic element and TRY data where the weight factor was applied could have the distribution very similar to measurement data. The weighting factor is considered to reflect geographical characteristics of Seoul and applied climatic elements.

S/W product line is a S/W product or a set of S/W system, which has common functions. We can develop a specific S/W product, which satisfiesrequirements of a particular market segment and a mission in a specific domain by reusing the core asset such as the developed S/W architecture through the S/W product line. S/W development methodology based on the S/W product line can develop a S/W more easily and fast by reusing the developed S/W core asset. An advanced country of S/W technology selects S/W product line as a core field of S/W production technology, and support technology development. In case of USA, CMU/SEI (Carnegie Mellon University / Software Engineering Institute) developed product-line framework 4.0 together with the industry and the Ministry of National Defense. Europe is supporting the development of product line technology through ITEA(IT for European Advancement) program. In this paper, we aim to construct reference architecture of S/W product line for production of the S/W product line.

The bistable thin cylindrical shell is developable structure with the ability to transition between its two stable configurations. This structure offers significant potential applications due to its excellent deformability. In this paper, the composite thin cylindrical shell consisting of the composite layer and the piezoelectric layer was investigated. The material and geometric parameters of the shell were found to influence its stable characteristics. The analysis model of the composite thin cylindrical shell incorporating the piezoelectric layer was developed, and the expressions for its strain energy were derived. By applying the minimum energy principle, the impact of the electric field intensity on the bi-stable behaviors of the cylindrical shell was analyzed. The results showed that the shell exhibited the bistability only under the appropriate electric field strength. And the accuracy of the theoretical prediction was verified by simulation experiments. This study provides an important reference for the application of deployable structures.

Today the theme of "IT Architecture" has become a topic of special interest in both public and private sectors. Based on the literature survey on information systems planning and information architecture, IT architecture may be viewed as the outcome of evolution, rather than revolution. A case study was conducted in order to compare the tasks and deliverables of U.S. IT architecture and Korean Information Strategy Planning. No significant differences were found in tasks or deliverables. Implications of the study were discussed.

Software architectures can be restructured by modification and replacement during design processes, and appropriate software architectures for developments can be more than one. Therefore, developers are required to specify efficiently the modification elements of architectures, and manage different versions of an architecture designed for various aspects. In this paper, we propose a mechanism that can restructure legacy architecture and a new software architecture designed with reuse of it in integrated form, and define the specification elements and structure of the proposed architecture restructuring specification. It provides the method that can reference and reuse architectures designed with various aspects of developers in architecture design processes.
