THE EXTENDED REAL LINE AS A JULIA SET

  • A recursive family $\{F_n\}$ of holomorphic functions on the Riemann sphere is defined and some elementary properties of this family is described. Then the Julia set of $F_n$ is computed. Finally this family as a real recursive family is studied and it is shown that $F_n$ is chaotic on a specific subset of $\mathbb{R}$.

  • In this note we find the exact Probability distribution of d$\_$n, i/ the outdegree of the node i, in a random recursive tree with n nodes. For i = i$\_$n/ increasing as a linear function on n, we show that d$\_$n/,i$\_$n/ is asymptotically normal.

  • There exists an increasing need of study for generalized consecutive k-out-of-n systems. This paper demonstrates that a recursive formula for multi-dimensional consecutive k-out-of-n systems can be systematically developed by means of conventional structure function analysis. By taking advantage of notational convenience, the formulae expressed in the same recursive fashion just as the one dimensional consecutive k-out-of-n system. With the aids of the recursive formulae, not only the exact reliability of the system, but also the optimal arrangement of components is obtainable in a straightforward way.

  • In this study, an analytical realization of end-milling system was introduced using recursive parametric modeling analysis. Also, the numerical mode analysis of end-milling system with different conditions was performed systematically. In this regard, a recursive least square modelling algorithm and the natural mode for real part and imaginary one was discussed. This recursive approach (RLSM) can be adopted for on-line end-milling identification. After experimental practice of the end-milling, the end-milling force was obtained and it was used for the calculation of FRF (Frequency response function) and mode analysis. Also the FRF was analysed for the prediction of a end-milling system using recursive algorithm.

  • We show that G(x) = $e^{(x}$(1-x))/ -1 is the exponential generating function for the labeled digraphs whose weak components are transitive tournaments and derive both a recursive formula and an explicit formula for the number of them on n vertices. Moreover, we investigate the asymptotic behavior for the coefficients of G(x) using Hayman's method.d.

  • 기계 가공을 위해선 보통 많은 절삭 에너지가 필요하다. 공작 기계는 대부분 매우 적은 감쇄 특성을 지니는데, 앞서 언급한 절삭 에너지는 공작 기계 구조물에 전달되게 된다. 이때 기계 가공에서의 특유 메카니즘인 채터(chatter)라는 자생적인 진동(self-excited vibrations)현상이 종종 발생한다. 이러한 채터 현상에서의 절삭 가공은 절삭 공구의 물리적 한계에 직면한다. 그러므로, 실시간 제어기의 적용을 필요로 한다. 이 연구 보고서는 chatter 진동을 적절히 제어하기 위해, 가공 시간에 따라 변하는 절삭공구와 피삭제간의 transfer function을 recursive 방식을 통해 update하도록 시도하였다. 이 방식은 디지털 신호처리 기법과 제어 설계 기법을 적용하였다. 아울러, 일련의 시뮬레이션이 제시되며, 현재, 실험적으로 접근하기 위한 연구를 진행중에 있다.

A NON-RECURSIVE APPROACH TO NEVANLINNA-PICK INTERPOLATION PROBLEM

  • A solution for Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem with low complexity is constructed via non-recursive method. More precisely, a stable rational function satifying the given interpolation data in the complex right half plane is found by solving a homogeneous interpolation problem related to a minial interpolation problem for the given data in the right half plane together with its mirror-image data.

  • A single channel adaptive noise canceling (ANC) technique with a recursive time delay estimator (RTDE) is presented for removing effects of additive noise on the speech signal. While the conventional method makes a reference signal for the adaptive filter using the pitch estimated on a frame basis from the input speech, the proposed method makes the reference signal using the delay estimated recursively on a sample-by-sample basis. As the RTDEs, the recursion formulae of autocorrelation function (ACF) and average magnitude difference function (AMDF) are derived. The normalized least mean square (NLMS) and recursive least square (RLS) algorithms are applied for adaptation of filter coefficients. Experimental results with noisy speech demonstrate that the proposed method improves the perceived speech quality as well as the signal-to-noise ratio and cepstral distance when compared with the conventional method.

  • Let {$X_i$} be a sequence of stationary ${\alpha}-mixing$ random variables with probability density function f(x). The recursive kernel estimators of f(x) are defined by $$\hat{f}_n(x)={\frac{1}{n\sqrt{b_n}}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}}b_j{^{-\frac{1}{2}}K(\frac{x-X_j}{b_j})\;and\;{\tilde{f}}_n(x)={\frac{1}{n}}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}}{\frac{1}{b_j}}K(\frac{x-X_j}{b_j})$$, where 0 < $b_n{\rightarrow}0$ is bandwith and K is some kernel function. Under appropriate conditions, we establish the Berry-Esseen bounds for these estimators of f(x), which show the convergence rates of asymptotic normality of the estimators.

Ball 곡선을 이용한 Fitting 알고리즘 (Curve Fitting with Recursive Ball Curve)

  • In this paper, we present a curve fitting algorithm using a ball curve. Our algorithm is recursive method for fitting, which is not a traditional ball function but a continuous ball function. This algorithm consists of two steps. The first step, it is classified the composite corner points to joint points until selected from the given data set. The second step is the curve fitting. The basis function for curve fitting is use to ball function. Also, the weighted least square method, to insert knot, is an efficient method for piecewise ball curve and ball curve segments will be smoothly connected at all composit points. The proposed algorithm will be applied to represent image representation, like fonts, digital image and GIS.
