Development of voice pen-pal application of global communication system by voice message

  • These days, interest and demand on smart learning has rapidly increased. Video English and mobile system based English speaking service have become popular. This study gave prototype of application to give and take voice message with world people and to give new concept of voice pen-pal beyond exchange of text messages. In modern society having rapidly increasing demand on smart learning, you can study foreign language by smart phone and communicate with foreigners by voice anytime and anywhere. The app allows global exchange to learn conversation. Recruitment of initial users and profit model have problems. We shall develop to improve problems and to solve difficulty.

  • Port Authority in Korea does not have financial independence nor fair recruitment practices, thus the prospects of the establishment of the Port Authority is not adequate. Therefore independent and effective port administration cannot be achieved. To overcome this situation, this paper examines the port administration system in Korea and identifies its problems. This paper then provides an 'modeling of Analytical Hierarchy structure' for evaluation. An alternative solution is provided by carrying out a public survey, analysing the significance of the evaluation factor using the techniques of the Analytical Hierarchy Process. The significance of profitability was identified. The role of central government is significant when assessing the public service function of port administration; and the role of the private company is significant when assessing the independence. In addition, the private company is significant when assessing profitability. The private company is the alternative for port administration in Korea, based on the evaluation of various alternatives.

  • 기업에 있어서 가장 기본이 되는 HRM은 다른 업무에 비해 사각 지대에 있다. HRM 부문도 기업에 미칠 정보기술에 대해서 많은 관심이 필요하며, 정보화 사회의 미래를 보며 남보다 앞서갈 수 있는 조직, 기업을 만들 기회를 선점해야 한다. 즉 생산방식의 변화, 정보화, 지식사회, 서비스산업 팽창, 경쟁의 심화, 세계화, 국제화 등 많은 수식어로 묘사되는 최근의 환경변화는 기업의 생존과 성패가 물적 자원보다는 인적자원에 더욱 의존하게 된다. 본 고에서 디지털시대에 있어서 기업의 인적자원 경쟁력의 결정적 기반이 될 수 있는 e-HRM의 기본 개념 변화, 모형 그리고 도입절차 및 성공요인에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • This study is about implementing an job matching web service system based on the Job seeker's company assessment model proposed by the researchers. Basically, the Job seekers' company assessment model is based on the concept that each job seeker can evaluate the recruitment company candidates using job seekers's own major consideration factors. Using the implemented information system, each job seeker's main considerations in job searching process are evaluated and stored and compared to those of other job seekers' or groups' characterized by sex, job experience residential area and etc. by finding out and listing up the companies in the order of the preference of job seeker own or belonging groups, job seekers can be helped to find suitable companies which fit well to themselves.

  • One of the most important service industries that emerged in the last decade is "Higher Education". The most of the higher education institutes involve in marketing efforts to build up a good image, to improve the level of satisfaction of students and the stakeholders, to gain competitive advantage with respect to competitors and as well as to increase their market share. Within this intense competition universities should identify and meet the expectations of students to attract more and to retain the existing students. This study is to gain more insights into the dimensions of satisfaction of the university students and factors that affecting their judgments. SSI educational experience questionnaire is used to identify the importance and performance perceptions of students' in Eastern Mediterranean University among different dimensions and also study find out the difference between importance and performance scores of eleven educational experience dimensions. Results show that "Academic Advising", "Instruction Effectiveness", "Recruitment and Financial Aid" and "Student Centeredness" was very important to students. Study also provides managerial implications as well.

  • 본 논문은 HTML과 CSS를 사용하여 기본적인 웹페이지를 작성하고, 카카오 지도 API를 활용하여 주변 스터디 룸 위치를 입력할 수 있는 기능을 구현한다. 카카오 개발자 웹사이트에서 API 키를 발급받아야 하며, 이를 사용하여 JavaScript 코드를 작성하고 웹페이지에 추가하여 지도와 위치 입력 기능을 구현한다. 또한, 회원가입 및 로그인 기능을 구현하기 위해 Node. JS를 사용하며, 사용자의 회원가입 정보를 입력받아 DB에 저장하고 로그인 시 DB와 비교하여 인증하는 기능을 포함합니다. MySQL을 사용하여 DB 테이블을 생성하고 연동하는 작업을 수행한다.

Healthcare access challenges facing six African refugee mothers in South Korea: a qualitative multiple-case study

  • Purpose: Following legal reform in 2013, the annual number of asylum seekers entering South Korea has increased from 1,143 in 2012 to 5,711 in 2015. We interviewed six African refugee mothers of young children regarding their health needs and barriers to access maternal child health services. Methods: We recruited mothers who had visited a clinic for immigrants between July 2013 and August 2015. Participants were African refugee women, aged over 18 years, who had given birth in Korea within the previous 5 years and had come to Korea over a year before recruitment. Interview questions examined participants' experiences in pregnancy and childbirth and concerns regarding their child's health status. Initial data analysis involved all researchers' immersion in the entire collection of transcripts. We then noted recurrent topics and themes and identified similar issues. Results: At the time of giving birth, 5 participants were asylum seekers and one had undocumented status. The following barriers impeded their access to maternal child healthcare: socioeconomic factors (unstable social identity, low economic status, difficulty obtaining health insurance), language barriers (lack of linguistically appropriate health information, limited access to translation services), and cultural barriers (religious and cultural differences). Weak social support also hindered access to healthcare soon after migration; however, social links with the community emerged as a key coping strategy following settlement. Conclusion: We identified barriers to maternal and child healthcare and coping strategies among African refugee mothers in Korea. Future research should assess refugees' health status and improve health access and literacy among refugee mothers.

Research on the Characteristics of Research Data-related Service in North American University Libraries: Focusing on the Hierarchical Structure of Services, Job Titles, and Job Descriptions (북미 지역 대학도서관의 연구데이터 관련 서비스 특성 연구 - 서비스 간 계층 구조와 직책 및 직책별 직무내용을 중심으로 -)

  • This study investigated research data-related services offered by North American university libraries, focusing on service names, hierarchical relationships, job titles of service managers, and job descriptions. The study analyzed the homepages of 50 university libraries and found a clear hierarchical relationship between research data-related service names, indicating a clear structure for these services. The title of 'librarian' was most commonly used for the position in charge of research data-related services, and the job content of this position was found to be quite wide. Other job titles such as 'specialist' and 'analyst' were also used for experts in various research data-related fields. The existence of these job titles was seen as a way for university libraries to strengthen the expertise of their research data-related services. Based on the findings, the authors propose a service composition system for research data-related services in domestic university libraries. This system includes 'research data service' as the highest-level service name, with 'research data management service', 'GIS service', and 'data visualization service' as sub-service names. The authors also suggest that research data-related services should be provided through collaboration between existing university librarians in the early stages of service provision, and that new recruitment of research data-related professionals could be considered gradually.

A Study on the Trends of Librarian Recruitment in Korea and Overseas Using Data Mining (데이터 마이닝을 이용한 국내외 사서 채용 동향 분석)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the trends of librarian job recruitment in Korea and overseas. A total of 489 librarian job postings posted on the internet portal site "Saseo e-Ma-eul" were collected for the Korean data, and 6,600 data were collected from "ALAJobList" for the international data. The research period spans from January 2020 to August 2022. The data were subjected to regional distribution analysis, frequency analysis, and topic modeling. As a result of the study, the number of Korean librarian job postings was the highest in Seoul with 280, while California was the state with the highest number of job postings overseas with 662. According to the frequency analysis, the main task of Korean data is 'management' 23.42%, and the core competency is 'certificate' 16.61%. For overseas data, 'Library Service' is the main task of 8.72%, and 'Communication Skills' is the most important core competency of 10.13%. In topic modeling, five topics were identified for each area 4 in total, including Korean and international job description and requirements. The analysis results confirm that the duties and qualifications derived from Korean and international job postings for librarians are related to the core competencies proposed by major library associations such as the American Library Association (ALA) and the Korean Library Association.

  • Previous research on university life of Chinese students studying in Korea has been conducted on students in Korea, but Chinese students have a sense of belonging and university prejudice against Korean universities, so the objectivity of research is not clear. This paper conducted a survey of the Chinese people in China and conducted a media search for attracting foreign students. Not all foreign students are proficient in Korean language. Even students who have completed more than one year of education in the Korean language institutes or passed advanced level of Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) have difficulties in everyday life and acquiring a degree. According to the results of this study, until foreign students who lack sufficient Korean language skills are able to adapt to culture and acquire information in Korea, it is desirable to prepare multilingual content services so that they can obtain academic information or daily information necessary for studying in their native language.
