Hybrid ABS based Inter-Cell Scheduling Algorithms for QoS Improvement of Heterogeneous Networks (이기종 네트워크의 QoS 향상을 위한 Hybrid ABS기반 셀 간 스케줄링 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, for the improvement of quality of service(QoS) performance of heterogeneous networks, multi-cell scheduling is proposed. In order to implement the proposed algorithm, for the recognition of the impact on the throughput performance of users, macro-pico-cells that form distributed architecture were proposed. In operating heterogeneous networks, considering the centralized structure, a macro-RRH(Remote Radio Head) deployment scenario was proposed. For interference mitigation of the proposed system, by applying the optional sub-frame, through CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) measurement for each sub-frame period, constraint conditions were measured according to system situations. For the simplification, the pattern of the same ABS muting was assumed. In the above two multi-cell environments, the algorithm of high-speed load balancing maintenance was proposed.

  • Traffic classification plays an important role in traffic management. To traditional methods, P2P and encryption traffic may become a problem. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a useful classification tool which is able to overcome the traditional bottleneck. The main disadvantage of SVM algorithms is that it's time-consuming to train large data set because of the quadratic programming (QP) problem. However, the useful support vectors are only a small part of the whole data. If we can discard the useless vectors before training, we are able to save time and keep accuracy. In this article, we discussed the feasibility to remove the useless vectors through a sequential method to accelerate training speed when dealing with large scale data.

  • This paper is a study on the design and realization of Pedestrian navigation service system for the visually impaired. As it is an user interface considering visually impaired, voice recognition functioned smartphone was used as the input tool and the Osteoacusis headset, which can vocally guide directions while recognizing the surrounding environment sound, was used as the output tool. Unlike the pre-existing pedestrian navigation smartphone apps, the developed system guides walking direction by the scale of the left and right stereo sound of the headset wearing, and the voice guidance about the forked or curved path is given several meters before according to the speed of the user, and the user is immediately warned of walking opposite direction or proceeding off the path. The system can acquire stable and reliable directional information using the motion tracker with the dynamic heading accuracy of 1.5 degrees. In order to overcome GPS position error, we proposed a robust trajectory planning algorithm for position error. Experimental results for the developed system show that the average directional angle error is 6.82 degrees (standard deviation: 5.98) in the experimental path, which can be stated that it stably navigated the user relatively.

An Analysis of the Environmental Color in Urban Street by Pedestrian Visual Fields Area (보행자의 시계영역에 따른 가로의 환경색채 분석)

  • Cityschumers experience the urban with the visual perception while walking an average speed of 4km per hour. At this time, recognition of the color field accounts for more than 70%. Therefore, in this paper the environmental color of urban street is examined by dividing the pedestrian visual field area. In the urban street, the area of the visual field area of the pedestrian is divided into Ground Plane, Roadside, Canopy and Building Wall. In addition, we observe and color survey the environmental color of Exhibition Road, which is the northern side space of South Kensington in London, which adopted the world's first shared space. The color of the visual filed area was dominated as YR, GY, Y, PB. The Ground Pland was dominated by the YR. The reason for this is that the color of the floor has changed due to the shadows of surrounding architecture and facilities. Roadside was dominated in various ways such as GY, BG, PB, B and P. Canopy was mainly composed of PB, GY, etc. It was found that the material color of the lower part of the architecture was reflected. The architecture wall was affected by the reflectance and absorption rate of the transparent material. The first image that comes to mind when thinking about the urban is the street where pedestrians walk, feel and enjoy themselves. Therefore, it is suggested that various policy frameworks for managing and managing urban planning professionals may be different from the perceptions of pedestrians active in mega cities.

  • Cloud computing has emerged with promise to decrease the cost of server additional cost and expanding the data storage and ease for computer resource sharing and apply the new technologies. However, Cloud computing also raises many new security concerns due to the new structure of the cloud service models. Therefore, the secure user authentication is required when the user is using cloud computing. This paper, we propose the enhanced AdaBoost algorithm for access cloud security zone. The AdaBoost algorithm despite the disadvantage of not detect a face inclined at least 20, is widely used because of speed and responsibility. In the experimental results confirm that a face inclined at least 20 degrees tilted face was recognized. Using the FEI Face Database that can be used in research to obtain a result of 98% success rate of the algorithm perform. The 2% failed rate is due to eye detection error which is the people wearing glasses in the picture.

  • In this paper, we present design and implementation for identification and location tracking techniques for vehicle information terminals in high-speed mobile environment using IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN technology. RSU be installed at a specific point. RSU recognizes it and then aware identification and location tracking for target vehicle when target vehicle that is equipped with information terminals pass near point. Issue of quick recognition using IEEE 802.11 access management frame, issue of weak wireless LAN security and tracking a range of restrictions be raised and we present solutions. Vehicle information terminal, RSU and a server-side GUI-based management program be implemented based on proposed solution. Implementation system be performed experiment at actual road environment and effectiveness be verified.

CBIRS/TB Using Color Feature Information for A tablet Recognition (알약 인식을 위해 색 특징정보를 이용한 CBIRS/TB)

  • This thesis proposes CBIRS/TB method that uses a tablet's color distribution information and form distinctive in content-based search. CBIRS/TB can avoid misuses and improper tablet uses by conducting content-based search in commonly prescribed tablets. The existing FE-CBIRS system is limited to recognizing only the image of color and shape of the tablet, that leads to applying insufficient form-specific information. While CBIRS/TB utilizes average, standard deviation, hue and saturation of each tablets in color, brightness, and contrast, FE-CBIRS has partial-sphere application problem; only applying the typical color of the tablet. Also, in case of the shape-specific-information, Invariant Moment is mainly used for the extracted partial-spheres. This causes delayed processing time and accuracy problems. Therefore, to improve this setback, this thesis indexed color-specific-information of the extracted images into categorized classification for improved search speed and accuracy.

  • In this paper, we proposed SIMT based Image Signal Processor which can apply various image preprocessing algorithms and allow parallel processing of application programs such as image recognition. Conventional ISP has the hard-wired image enhancement algorithm of which the processing speed is fast, but there was difficult to optimize performance depending on various image processing algorithms. The proposed ISP improved the processing time applying SIMT architecture and processed a variety of image processing algorithms as an instruction based processor. We used Xilinx Virtex-7 board and the processing time compared to cell multicore processor, ARM Cortex-A9, ARM Cortex-A15 was reduced by about 71 percent, 63 percent and 33 percent, respectively.

  • It is becoming a common trend that many designers work on a very complex assembly together in a collaborative environment. In this environment, every designer should be able to see the whole assembly in a full detail or in a rough shape at least. Even though the hardware technology is being improved very rapidly, it is very difficult to display a very complex assembly at a speed to allow smooth interactions for designers. This problem could be solved if a designer could manipulate his portion of the assembly in a full resolution while the remaining portion of the assembly is displayed in a rough resolution. It is also desired that the remaining portion is converted to the full resolution when needed. To realize this environment, the capabilities to simplify the portions of an assembly and to reset to the original resolution should be added to the current CAD systems. Thus operators realizing multi-resolution on B-rep are proposed in this paper. They are: wrap-around, smooth-out, and thinning operator. Through appropriately applying these operators sequentially, an assembly model of any desired resolution can be easily generated. Of course, the assembly can go back to the finer resolution. In this paper, the data structures and the processes to realize these operators are described and a prototype modeling system with these operators is also demonstrated.

  • In this paper, we describe a study of a vehicle detection method based on a Boosting Classifier which uses Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) features and Image Segmentation techniques. An input image is segmented by means of a split and merge algorithm. Then, the two largest segmented regions are removed in order to reduce the search region and speed up processing time. The HOG features are then calculated for each pixel in the search region. In order to detect the vehicle region we used the AdaBoost (adaptive boost) method, which is well known for classifying samples with two classes. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, 537 training images were used to train and learn the classifier, followed by 500 non-training images to provide the recognition rate. From these experiments we were able to detect the proper image 98.34% of the time for the 500 non-training images. In conclusion, the proposed method can be used for detecting the location of a vehicle in an intelligent vehicle control system.
