격자기반의 토양수분 추적에 의한 지하수함양량 추정기법 개발 (Groundwater Recharge Assessment via Grid-based Soil Moisture Route Modeling)

  • 지하수 함양량을 추정하기 위한 방법으로 격자기반의 일변 토양수분 추적기법을 모델링하였다. 본 모델은 GRASS-GIS를 이용하여 모델에 필요한 자료들을 준비하고, 모델은 이들을 ASCII 형태로 받아들여 일별 수행결과(유역출구에서의 유출량, 지표유출 분포도, 토양수분 분포도 등)들을 GRASS상에서 도시하여 주는 형태로 구성하였다. 보청천유역의 일부인 이평교 유역($75.6\;\textrm{km}^2$)을 대상으로 모델의 적용성을 검토하였다. '95년 및 '96년도의 IHP유역 연구보고서 자료를 이용하여 실측 일유출자료와 모의 일유출자료를 비교하였다. 일단위 및 월단위의 유역 토양수분의 변화양상을 공간적으로 확인할 수 있었으며 본 기법을 이용하여 1995년도 보청천의 이평교유역에 대한 지하수 함양량을 계산하였다.

효율적 전력 관리를 위한 독립형 가로등의 ESS 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of an ESS for Efficient Power Management of Stand-Alone Type Street Lights)

  • Several efforts to replace the use of existing fossil energy resources have already been made around the world. As a result, a new industry of renewable energy has been created, and efficient energy distribution and storage has been promoted intensively. Among the newly explored renewable energy sources, the most widely used one is solar energy generation, which has a high market potential. An energy storage system (ESS) is a system as required. In this paper, the design and implementation of an ESS for the efficient use of power in stand-alone street lights is presented. In current ESS applied to stand-alone street lights, either 12V~24V DC (from solar power) or 110V~220V AC (from commercial power) is used to recharge power in systems with lithium batteries. In this study, an ESS that can support both solar power and commercial power was designed and implemented; it can also perform emergency recharge of portable devices from solar powered street lights. This system can maximize the scalability of ESSes using lithium batteries with efficient energy conversion, with the advantage of being an eco-friendly technology. In a ripple effect, it can also be applied to smart grids, electric vehicles, and new, renewable storage markets where energy storage technology is required.

유역모형 구축을 위한 8일간격 유량측정자료의 일유량 확장 가능성 (The Possibility of Daily Flow Data Generation from 8-Day Intervals Measured Flow Data for Calibrating Watershed Model)

  • In this study daily flow data is constructed from 8-day intervals flow data which has been measured by Nakdong River Water Environmental Laboratory. TANK model is used to expand 8-day intervals flow data into daily flow data. Using the Sequential quadratic programing, TANK model is auto-calibrated with daily precipitation and 8-day interval flow data. Generated and measured daily surface flow, ground water flow data and ground water recharge are shown to be in a good agreement. From this result, it is thought that this method has the potential to provide daily flow data for calibrating an watershed model such as SWAT.

  • 지구 온난화 현상 및 이상기후로 지구환경 변화는 물환경 변화에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히, 지표수에 의존도가 높은 국내의 수자원 공급시스템은 지구환경 변화에 의한 강우 분포의 시간적, 공간적 불균질성에 대한 취약성이 높으며, 이에 기후변화에 따른 상대적 변동성이 적은 지하수자원의 활용 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 지하수 인공함양 기술은 강우, 지하수 및 하수 처리수 등의 잉여 수자원을 관정, 수로, 인공함양 분지 및 습지, 지하댐 등의 인공시설물을 활용하여 지하 대수층에 주입시킨 후 양질의 수자원을 확보하는 기술이다. 이번 연구에서는 수치해석을 활용하여 함양지역의 유역형상 및 지층경사, 대수층 두께, 체류시간, 수리상수 등 수리지질 인자를 고려한 인공함양 방식별 인공함양 효율성을 평가하고자 한다. 인공함양 방식은 수직관정 및 수로(Ditch)를 적용하였다.

암반지하수 저류지 개발 전망

  • When the United Nation classified as Korea is the one of the water deficit country. The consensus was made that the water is the one of the precious national resources. Government increases their R/D budget trying to get more clean water bodies. For instances, 'Sustainable Water Resources Development' project is the one of major title in '21 Century Frontier Research project and there are several small research projects are undergoing by the Ministry of Agriculture and KARICO. However, when the environmental preservation issue has been get more emphasis, construction of the Surface Dam met the blockage from the environmentalists due to the problem of the their water buried area. Since the most fitting site for surface dam had been used in the past, some engineer move their focus on modification of the existing Dam's height to enlarge its capacity or dredging the bottom of the reservoir recently However dredging evoke water quality problem in return by accumulated materials at the bottom. Last year the Dong Gang Dam plan has been canceled by environmental problem in water buried area of the reservoir. With the point of this view, ground water gets more focus for the one of the useful alternative for clean water bodies. Underground dam technique which had widely applied once in the early nineteen eighties by the KARICO and attenuated due to engineering insufficiency. The technique is newly studied with the advanced engineering technique. Still groundwater usage rate in Korea is much lower comparing with the advanced countries and has many rooms to develop. Wells, under ground dam and radial collector wells are typical facilities up to now. There is little application in Korea for the Recharge Dam, which had been widely used in the advanced countries. The Recharge Dam is technique to conjunct surface water and groundwater body together, This technique had developed to increase groundwater recharge at the beginning This research is the result of the study on the possibility of the development of the new technology, Groundwater Reservoir' which was modified from Recharge Dam. Groundwater Reservoir is like a deep artificial lakes trenched in hard rock aquifer to get groundwater. The advantage of the Groundwater Reservoir is followings 1) It can be developed at the plains area, not in the deep valley 2) Huge water body can be developed without dam 3) Small buried area comparing surface water dam makes the least environmental effect. 4) Trenching cost can be substitute by the income of the selling rock debris 5) Outfit of the reservoir can be modified to match with the site prospect 6) Rock debris can be used as constructing materials 7) It can be used as groundwater recharge system when the heavy rains comes 8) The reservoir looks like scenery lake with huge clean water bodies.

MAR기반 음용수 공급 시스템에의 HACCP 원리 적용 (Application of HACCP principles to MAR-based drinking water supply system)

  • Supplying clean and safe water to people is facing both quantitative and qualitative challenges. Due to climate change, access to freshwater becomes increasingly difficult, while pollution from various sources decreases the public trust in water quality. Managed aquifer recharge (MAR) which stores and uses surface water in aquifer is receiving attention as a new technology to secure freshwater. Recently, there is a global expansion in the attempt to combine general purification plants and hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) which manages all the process from raw material to consumer for food safety. This research is about an attempt to apply HACCP to the drinking water supply process using MAR to secure both quantity and quality of drinking water. The study site is a MAR plant being constructed in the downstream area of the Nakdong River Basin, South Korea. The incorporation of HACCP with MAR-based water supply system is expected to enhance the safety and reliability of drinking water.

센서 퓨전을 통한 인공지능 4족 보행 애완용 로봇 (An Intelligence Embedding Quadruped Pet Robot with Sensor Fusion)

  • In this paper an intelligence embedding quadruped pet robot is described. It has 15 degrees of freedom and consists of various sensors such as CMOS image, voice recognition and sound localization, inclinometer, thermistor, real-time clock, tactile touch, PIR and IR to allows owners to interact with pet robot according to human's intention as well as the original features of pet animals. The architecture is flexible and adopts various embedded processors for handling sensors to provide modular structure. The pet robot is also used for additional purpose such like security, gaming visual tracking, and research platform. It is possible to generate various actions and behaviors and to download voice or music files to maintain a close relation of users. With cost-effective sensor, the pet robot is able to find its recharge station and recharge itself when its battery runs low. To facilitate programming of the robot, we support several development environments. Therefore, the developed system is a low-cost programmable entertainment robot platform.

공주 송산리고분군 누수현상 원인 분석을 위한 인공함양시험 및 수치모델링 (An Artificial Recharge Test and Its Numerical Simulation for the Analysis of Seepage in the Songsanri Tomb Site of Kongju)

  • 여름철 집중강우시 발생하는 공주 송산리고분군의 누수 원인을 분석하기 위하여 인공함양시험을 실시하였다. 함양시험을 모사하는 2차원 불포화 지하수 유동 모델을 개발하고, 시험 중 측정한 관측정 수위와 함양량의 변화를 이용하여 모델변수의 보정을 수행하였으며 보정된 모델변수에 의하여 함양시험 모사를 실시하였다. 함양시험 및 모사 결과 고분군 누수현상의 주된 원인은 고분군 상부의 누수방지층에 발생한 균열을 통한 지하수의 직접적인 유입에 의한 것으로 분석되었다. 장기간 강우가 지속될 경우 고분군 북측의 원지반으로부터 불포화대를 통한 지하수의 유입 가능성이 존재하나 고분군 북측 벽체에 10% 내외의 유효포화도 증가만을 일으킬 것으로 정류상태 모사를 통하여 분석되었다. 따라서 고분군 누수 방지를 위한 대책으로는 트렌치에 의한 유도배수시설보다는 효과적인 누수방지층의 보강이 더 시급한 것으로 판단된다.
