For the high efficiency of the photovoltaic module, a high-output solar cell, which is the basis of photovoltaic power generation, is required. As the light receiving area of the solar cell increases, the light receiving area of the photovoltaic module also increases. Accordingly, recent trend is to use large-area solar cells such as M6 and M8 instead of M2-based solar cells for manufacturing the photovoltaic module and a study on the mechanical stiffness of the module with increased size is required. In this study, a mechanical load test corresponding to IEC-61215 was performed among the reliability tests of large-area photovoltaic modules. In order to confirm the degree to which the mechanical load test affects the photovoltaic module, the output and EL images were checked by sequentially increasing the pressure by 600 Pa at a pressure of 2400 Pa. Also, factors such as output and efficiency of large-area photovoltaic modules were verified through mechanical load testing of actual large-area photovoltaic modules and the rate of change was very small at 1%.

SEA is a useful tool to predict noise and vibration response in high frequency region but has a weak point not to be able to express modal behavior in low frequency region. For a structure with middle subsystem having relatively higher modal density than excited subsystem and receiving subsystem, we studied the possibility that the modal behavior of receiving subsystem can express by considering finite mobility of excited subsystem. For a simply three-coupled beams which is chosen for feasibility study, the response of receiving beam was investigated with varying the length & area moment of inertia of middle beam. In case that the middle beam has relatively higher modal density than exciting beam, the application to finite mobility of excited beam led to express modal behavior of receiving beam relatively well.

This paper aims to optimize an access probe algorithm for the CDMA 2000 system. The incremental value of PWR_STEP increases as NUM_STEP as 1dBm±0.2 for access probe of the area with good receiving sensitivity when the mobile station transmits via access channel and does not receive any ACK message. However, for the area with weak receiving sensitivity, according to the algorithm of open-loop power control, the transmitting power amplifier becomes saturated and PWR_STEP incremental value keeps performing access probe to 0dBm±0.2. Therefore interference and battery consumption increases according to the transmission of the mobile station. We have optimized the access probe algorithm according to the receiving sensitivity. We transmit the incremental value of access probe power, with delaying as much RT slot value as indicated by IS-95C standard in case of good receiving sensitivity and with delaying RT+l slot value in case of weak receiving sensitivity. Simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm contributes to decrease of the interference and battery consumption according to the transmitting power of the mobile station and improves the call duration.

Preparing the conversion to the digital broadcasting system, we are deciding broadcasting network plan and interference protection area, using the measured receiving electric field level from the digital broadcasting station. However, the essential researches are needed about a receiving electric field level, because a digital TV (DTV) broadcasting receiver has been improved and an actual receiving environment should be considered. In this paper, the measured data were classified with domestic terrain of line of sight (LOS) and those of non-LOS, and effective receiving electric field level was proposed based on the LOS data. It is known that receiving electric field-level of 48 ㏈uV/m or more should be required for receiving rate of 90% and 50 ㏈uV/m for that of 95%, on the basis of the information of domestic terrain LOS.
Based on theories and case analysis, the present research concerns the deduction of useful results about the basic stage for setting up a planar plan for children's play therapy facility, which cures children's psychological problems such as social maladaptation by means of play rather than language. The case analysis was sub-categorized into movement in each area, relative position among areas, and the size of each room. Detailed investigations were made concerning: First, Adjacent areas of each area. Second, Movement plan, which was sub-categorized into the movement of therapists and that of the children receiving therapy and guardians; area was sub-categorized into management area, therapy area and service area. Third, the size of each area measured was calculated to be expressed as the percentage of the total size. The result is as follows: (1) As for adjacent areas, in some cases management area and service area were adjacent, with isolated therapy area; whereas in the other cases, service area and information area, which is a part of management area, were placed along the doorway, with therapy area between them and therapist area, which is the other part of management area, behind them. (2) As for movement, the movement of therapists and that of children receiving therapy were same; whereas the movement of guardians was allowed only up to the middle part of the therapy facilities, and there was almost no entry of guardians into the play therapy rooms located in the inner parts. This is because they do not show the details of their therapy for children to guardians. (3) As for size, the area of independent facilities were similar; whereas institutional facilities in general had larger waiting room and unlike independent facilities, were of diverse size.

The noise sources in ship and offshore structure have an influence on adjacent receiving area through a partition between noise sources and receiving area. The partition in ship is usually made of stiffened plate. Sound transmission loss (STL) of the partition at high frequency could be improved by additional installation of insulation or wall panel. At low frequency, however, it is very difficult and needs an increase of plate thickness which causes a considerable weight increase of ship. In this paper, we have investigated the effect of the bulkhead boundary condition. From measurement result, we found that the bulkhead boundary condition can affect a lot in STL, especially at low frequency range. Finally, we get the 5dB increase in STL through the modification of boundary condition.
To evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional supplements for cancer patients, the study was performed in 30 cncer patients, receiving chemotherapy. Patients were randomly divided into two groups -15 patients for the nutritionally supplemented group and 15 patients for the control group. Patients of the supplemented group were nutritionally supported with a commercial product for 9 weeks. Nutritional status of the patients was detrmined by dietary intake data, anthropometric measurements and hematological analysis at the beginning and after 3, 6 and 9 weeks of supplemental priod. Mean daily intake levels of energy, protein, calcium, phosphorus, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and asorbic acid for the supplemented group were significantly higher than those of control group. Significant increase in mid-arm circumference, triceps skinfold thickness and arm fat area were observed in supplemented group during the study period. However, the changes of body weight, body mass index and arm muscle area were not significantly increased. Serum transferrin level improved slightly by nutritioal support, but serum albumin levle did not change significantly. There data show that nutritional status of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy can be improved by utritional supplementation for 9 weeks.

K-city is an experimental area for developing self-driving cars. V2X communications such as WAVE, C-V2X and 5G are an essential technology for autonomous driving above level 4. In this paper, the research on the V2V communication environment was carried out through BSM receiving level analysis on the driving route in K-city. A stationary vehicle communicated with a test vehicle moving along urban area and suburban road in two different scenarios. The communication range and receiving levels obtained from this study will be used to develop and verify various safety scenarios using V2V communication within K-city in the future.

In this paper, requirements of GNSS receiver station installation are derived for optimizing the performance of network based GNSS precise positioning by concern of international organization(IGS, NGS) recommendation. Also a analysis method of network based GNSS precise positioning is suggested in order to evaluate the availability depending on various network configurations. To evaluate network candidates, a performance evaluation method is proposed for positioning of users according to a geometric configuration and the baseline distance. After the proposed method is used to Ochang region that is a the test area 6 network candidates are derived and the performance of positioning was analyzed. Finally, Ansung, Gongju, Eumsung, Boeun network configuration was selected as the best positioning performance. An optimal Receiving station network was selected using the proposed method.

In this paper we investigate the advantages when the GPS Antenna is installed on the rear missile body. In conventional design the GPS antenna locates on the front part of missile. However it causes degraded GPS positioning performance since the missile body blocks the GPS signals. This paper proposes the GPS array antenna design which locates on the rear part of missile body and has the tilted antenna patches to achieve the maximum area of receiving GPS signals. We simulate LOS region of receiving signals and conducted anechoic chamber test to define the effective signal receiving region. And we conduct field test and flight test to check out the enhancement of signal receiving area.
