Qualification includes all activities to demonstrate that a product meets and exceeds the reliability goals. Manufacturers need to spend time and resources for the qualification processes under the pressure of reducing time to market, as well as offering a competitive price. Failure to qualify a product could result in economic loss such as warranty and recall claims and the manufacturer could lose the reputation in the market. In order to provide valid and reliable qualification results, manufacturers are required to make extra effort based on the operational and environmental characteristics of the product. This paper discusses optimal interval censoring design for reliability prediction of electronic packages under limited time and resources. This design should provide more accurate assessment of package capability and thus deliver better reliability prediction.
In the field of industrial applications, the real-time performance of the target detection problem is very important. The most serious time consumption in the pedestrian detection process is the extraction phase of the candidate window. To accelerate the speed, in this paper, a fast extraction of pedestrian candidate window based on the BING (Binarized Normed Gradients) algorithm replaces the traditional sliding window scanning. The BING features are extracted with the positive and negative samples and input into the two-stage SVM (Support Vector Machine) classifier for training. The obtained BING template may include a pedestrian candidate window. The trained template is loaded during detection, and the extracted candidate windows are input into the classifier. The experimental results show that the proposed method can extract fewer candidate window and has a higher recall rate with more rapid speed than the traditional sliding window detection method, so the method improves the detection speed while maintaining the detection accuracy. In addition, the real-time requirement is satisfied.

In the era of big data, the growth of e-commerce transactions brings forth both opportunities and risks, including the threat of data theft and fraud. To address these challenges, an automated real-time fraud detection system leveraging machine learning was developed. Four algorithms (Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes, XGBoost, and Neural Network) underwent comparison using a dataset from a clothing website that encompassed both legitimate and fraudulent transactions. The dataset exhibited an imbalance, with 9.3% representing fraud and 90.07% legitimate transactions. Performance evaluation metrics, including Recall, Precision, F1 Score, and AUC ROC, were employed to assess the effectiveness of each algorithm. XGBoost emerged as the top-performing model, achieving an impressive accuracy score of 95.85%. The proposed system proves to be a robust defense mechanism against fraudulent activities in e-commerce, thereby enhancing security and instilling trust in online transactions.
Statement of problem: It was reported high success rate of implant-supported fixed prostheses using with $5{\sim}6$ implants on anterior mandible. Recently, immediate loading protocol was focused to overcome disadvantages of classic 2-stage delayed loading protocol. Purpose: This clinical study was to evaluate stability changes with time of immediately loaded and delayed loaded implants in edentulous mandible and to compare stability changes with time according to implantation sites. Materials and methods: Five or six implants were placed on anterior mandible depending on the arch shape. The immediately loading group was consisted of 8 patients received their prostheses within $24{\sim}48$ hours after implantation. The delayed loading group was consisted of 8 patients received their definitive prostheses following classical prosthetic procedures after a healing period of 3 months. All patients were recalled every 6 months for check-up. The evaluations of radiographic examination, ISQ value measurement and recording of complication were done. To evaluate marginal bone level, intraoral periapical radiographs were taken with long cone paralleling technique. At every evaluation recall, all prostheses were removed and ISQ values were measured with OsstellTM on individual implants. Results: 1. None of implants was failed. All implants showed stable marginal bone levels and ISQ values. 2. Marginal bone level changes with time showed statistically significant difference between immediately loading group and delayed loading group (P<0.001). 3. ISQ value changes with time did not show statistically significant difference between immediately loading group and delayed loading group (P=0.079). ISQ value decreased with time in both groups, however, all implants showed stable ISQ value at 30 months-recall evaluation. 4. Marginal bone level changes with time did not show statistically significant differences among implantation sites (P=0.604). 5. ISQ value changes with time showed statistically significant differences among implantation sites (P=0.047). ISQ values of most posterior implants decreased with time comparing to other implants. Conclusion: Although the marginal bone level of the terminal abutment didn't different with the other implants, ISQ value of the terminal abutment was lower than that of the other implants. Therefore, further clinical evaluation would be needed in this point of view.
This study compares two instruments for time use study: The time diary and the Experience Sampling Method (ESM), While previous studies show that the ESM and the full-diary are similar with respect to aggregate estimates, No previous study has examined the concordance rates of individual records from both instruments. Based on the subsamples who completed both instruments during the same time period from 500 family studies conducted by the Alfred P. Sloan Center on Parents, Children, and Work at the University of Chicago, we systematically compares the two instruments and evaluates their relative strengths. The results suggest that time diaries provide less biased time use estimates. and that compared to the time diary, the ESM provides a more detailed description of everyday life. The implications of further researches are discussed.
This study examined the differences in young children's reading results to two types of picture books, focusing on the features of pop-up books. Children's reading time, interests, responsiveness, comprehension, and recall were compared for pop-up books and regular books with the same story. The results of this study were as follows. First, young children showed similarly high interests in both versions. Second, children from the pop-up books group read for a longer time, and showed a higher responsiveness level in focusing on the illustrations than their counterparts. Third, children who read regular books displayed better comprehension and recall than children who read pop-up books.
There are many technical problems in the recommendation system based on very large database(VLDB). So, it is necessary to study the recommendation system' structure and the data-mining technique suitable for the large scale Internet shopping mail. Thus we design and implement the product recommendation system using k-means clustering algorithm and sequential pattern technique which can be used in large scale Internet shopping mall. This paper processes user information by batch processing, defines the various categories by hierarchical structure, and uses a sequential pattern mining technique for the search engine. For predictive modeling and experiment, we use the real data(user's interest and preference of given category) extracted from log file of the major Internet shopping mall in Korea during 30 days. And we define PRP(Predictive Recommend Precision), PRR(Predictive Recommend Recall), and PF1(Predictive Factor One-measure) for evaluation. In the result of experiments, the best recommendation time and the best learning time of our system are much as O(N) and the values of measures are very excellent.

This paper describes the experiment that investigated the possibility of design and evaluation of the usability of earcon applied to voice menu. The earcon has functions in providing navigational cue in the hierarchical menu, and also can be applied to voice menu for improving the recall rate and the response time. In this experiment, participants identified their location with the help of earcon applied to the voice menu with the various earcon parameters. In detail some participants listened to the good quality sound of voice menu using the structured earcon, and they recalled the location they heard. Other participants listened to the good quality sound of voice menu without earcon, and they recalled the location they heard in the same manner. And the response times were checked through their answers. On analyzing the results, we found the earcon applied to voice menu showed the increase of recalling rate from what they heard during experiment. That is the performance of task was better with earcon applied to voice menu than with voice menu without earcon. In the earcon applied to voice menu test, it showed the accuracy of 92.50%, but in voice menu without earcon test, people could only recall 66.25% among given questions. The response time was reduced from 4.98 sec to 3.85 sec. In addition, this experiment showed the 87.5% of participants preferred the earcon applied to voice menu.
This study was performed to examine the food behavior and dietary fiber intakes of high school girls using questionnaires and 24-hr recall method. Collected sample were 263 girls from 4 different high schools. The dietary intakes were analyzed by the DS24 WIN program. The average height and weight of the respondents were $161.0{\pm}5.0$ cm and $51.8{\pm}6.3$ kg. The average BMI was $20.2{\pm}2.2$ which was within the normal range. The breakfast skipping rate was 39.2% and the reason of breakfast skipping were lack of time(50.0%), irregular meal time due to eating between meals(17.0%) and poor appetite(13.7%). The average daily energy intake of the respondents was 1741kcal. Beside protein, phosphorus, iron, niacin, vitamin A, and B1, all other nutrients intake level were below the recommended intake(RI). Average calcium and folate intakes were below the EAR as of $59.5{\sim}89.7%$ and $63{\sim}83%$ respectively. The average dietary fiber intake of the subjects was $15.6{\pm}5.2$ g, between 3.4g-35.2 g, and the respondents coumed $9.2{\pm}2.6$ g/kcal of dietary fiber. The main sources of dietary fiber were rice and kimchi which supplied 14.75% and 13.66% of total dietary fiber respectively. Also the major food groups supplying dietary fiber were vegetables and cereals, 36.90% and 31.06% of total dietary fiber respectively.

Captions which appear in images include information that relates to the images. In order to obtain the information carried by captions, the methods for text extraction from images have been developed. However, most existing methods can be applied to captions with fixed height of stroke's width. We propose a method which can be applied to various caption size. Our method is based on connected components. And then the edge pixels are detected and grouped into connected components. We analyze the properties of connected components and build a neural network which discriminates connected components which include captions from ones which do not. Experimental data is collected from broadcast programs such as news, documentaries, and show programs which include various height caption. Experimental result is evaluated by two criteria : recall and precision. Recall is the ratio of the identified captions in all the captions in images and the precision is the ratio of the captions in the objects identified as captions. The experiment shows that the proposed method can efficiently extract captions various in size.
