To investigate of the utilization and awareness on the traditional foods of university students in Daejeon, 104 male students(26.8%) and 282 female students(73.2%) were surveyed by the questionnaire. The traditional foods surveyed were Korean sauce, rice cake, Korean cookies, Korean soft drinks, kimchi and ritual foods. Among respondents, 56.5% answered that they had made Korean sauce at home, and 66.2% replied the reason why was because home made Korean sauce had much better tastes than other instant Korean sauces. 40.1% of the respondents answered that they would made Korean sauce at home after getting married. 61.2% of respondents answered that they liked the rice cakes and there was a significant difference between sex(P<0.001). Most respondents(50.7%) ate the rice cakes at traditional holidays. They liked Injulmi the most(28.4%) and there was a significant difference between sex(P<0.001); males liked Injeolmi better and females Patsirooduk. 47.4% of respondents liked the Korean cookies and 68.3% of them replied that the reason was because they were tasty. 71.1% of respondents ate Korean cookies at traditional holidays. 53.93% of respondents ate Korean soft drinks at traditional holidays and 68.1% of them made them at home. 81.3% of respondents said that they would make Kimchi at home instead of buying at market after they married; 65.2% of them answered the reason why was because home-made ones were tastier. For ritual foods for traditional ceremony, 52.2% of respondents said they would not use order and delivery service, and if they would use them, 60.5% respondents said because it might be convenient because it took much time to prepare. There were no significant differences between sex distinctions.

Ultimate purpose of this study is pushing to systematic cooperation by recognizing positive effect of combination, understanding progress step and apprehend problems.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the best way that Oriental medicine contributes for activation of pharmacy management after the separation of prescribing and dispensing practice since July 2000. In order to investigate current pharmacy conditions for handling of Oriental medicine and many problems for administering the Oriental medicine to patients, a questionnaire was written with a list of questions related to pharmacy management with Oriental medicine, and given to 58 subjects via fax or personal visit during the period of April 21 to 30, 2003. The research results was as follows; In th 58 subjects, 45 subjects (77.6%) were pharmacists with a licence for dispensing Oriental medicine. 70.7% of subjects most likely preferred to extract granule as administering type of oriental medicine. About the motivation using Oriental medicine, the reason for activation of pharmacy management was 39.7%, second, the reason for resolving the limitation of treatment over western medicine was 25.9%. Oriental medicine for patients was mainly administered by recommendation with pharmacist (65.5%). In comparison with after and before the separation of prescribing and dispensing, 51.7% of subjects answered that sale volume was decreased after the separation. Concerning the ratio of total sales volume to Oriental medicine within 5 years, 50% of subjects expected that sales volume will increase positively. About treating Oriental medcine, 34.5% of subjects thought the problem is the regulation by limiting 100 kinds of formulary. The most important factor for increasing Oriental medicine selling amount was continueous education for various information of oriental medicine in case of 44.8% of sujects. The best pharmacy to handle oriental medicine was community pharmacy (36.2%). It was expressed the reason why many pharmacists have not been treated oriental medicine because lots of time needs for dispensing prescription from clinics in these 4 years after the separation of prescribing and dispensing. These results lead to the conclusion that the Oriental medicine at pharmacy will greatly increase within 5 years and will be very important portion for pharmacy management.
This study was conducted to compare the awareness, satisfaction, and usage patterns of female-consumers for food-nutrition labeling in Busan. The survey was conducted from April 15 to June 10, 2018 by questionnaire. Degree of perception of food-nutrition labeling was higher among individuals in their 30s, 40s and 50s than those in their 20s, 60s and 70s. The score of verification degree was highest among respondents in their 40s and lowest among those in their 20s and 70s. Degree of demand of individuals in their 70s was lower than that of those in their 60s. Degree of reliability of individuals in their 30s, 40s and 50s was higher than that of those in their 20s, 60s, 70s. Satisfaction degree did not differ significantly among groups. Overall the most common reason to review food labeling was 'to confirm expiry date' (30.8%). Among those in their 20s, the main reason for reviewing nutrition labeling was 'weight control', while it was 'nutrients' among those in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s, and 'health improvement' among those in their 70s. Additionally, 51.3% of the subjects reported that the major reason for difficulty understanding the labeling was 'small letter, various form'. The demand for nutrient contents was highest in sodium. Age was negatively correlated with perception of food-nutrition labeling, demand, need for education and publicity, and nutrition knowledge (P<0.01), whereas it was positively correlated with dietary attitude (P<0.01). There was a strong correlation between demand for food-nutrition labeling and the need for education and publicity regarding food-nutrition labeling (r=0.546). Therefore, education materials and improvement plans based on age should be developed and implemented to inspire individuals to choose more nutritious food and develop a healthy dietary life.
The purpose of this study is to research the reasons of this outcome by comparing the consumers purchasing characteristics of the Internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping. A questionnaire was designed for on-line survey panels residing in Korea and the period of the survey was from July 30 to August 6, 2002. 1362 questionnaires were collected and 665 were chosen. The Frequency, %, t-test, and x2-test was performed using Korean version of SPSS 10.0. The summarized results of this study are as follows: The reasons of purchasing Apparel products through Internet and Cable TV home shopping are low price, time Saving, and convenience. The Item that is purchased most often at the Internet shopping mall is casual T-shirt. In case of the cable TV home shopping, it is inner-wears. Most of the users were satisfied with the home shopping. There are significant difference in ‘inexpensiveness of price’, ‘variety of product’, ‘sufficiency of product information’, ‘easiness of searching product’, ‘security of personal information’, ‘convenience of order’ in the side of consumers satisfaction. The reason of not using the media shopping are as follows: ‘Distrust of the product’ appeared one of the main reason of not using internet shopping mall and cable TV home shopping, accounting for 34.3%(Internet)/25.3%(Cable TV) of all respondents, followed by ‘absence of products(18.7%)’, In case of the cable TV home shopping, ‘lack of necessity of home shopping(24.7%)’ was the main reason.
This research has academic significance in that it uses the data from "Research on Usage of Korean Medicine Service and Medicine" to analyze the differences in usage of Korean medicine service by regions and genders on a national scale. The items analyzed were the sociodemographic characteristics, preferences of forms of Korean medicine service by gender and province. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences by marital status, education, occupation, and income (p<.01). Men used service for back pains (23.0%), muscle injuries (20.7%), back sprain (16.5%), ankle sprain (11.2%), and arthritis (10.5%). Women used service for back pains (26.5%), arthritis (18.7%), muscle injuries (12.9%), back sprain (12.1%), and indigestion problems (10.1%). There were statistically significant differences among men and women (p<.01). In the comparison analysis by cities, back pain was the biggest reason (p<.01), but there were differences from city to city; In Gwangju, back sprains (24.4%) and ankle sprains (16.1%) were first and second reasons, while In Ulsan, back sprains were the first reason (29.8%). By province level, back pains were the biggest reason for men, but there were differences by provinces (p<.05); In Chungbuk and Jeonnam, muscle injuries were first (23.7% and 23.9%, respectively). In conclusion, there were differences by cities and provinces in usage of Korean medical service, as well as by gender.

Dementia is a kind of chronic, progressive, degenerative disease. The objectives of this study were to determine the preferences and consideration factors for selecting processed foods, in middle school students as well as their perceptions on food and nutrition labeling student. Middle school students in the Seoul area were surveyed from October to November, 2006. The results are summarized as follows: the preferred processed foods included 'drinks' (3.85), 'noodles' (3.81), 'biscuits and bread' (3.80), 'milk and dairy products' (3.71), and 'meat and meat products' (3.60). The most important consideration factors in selecting processed foods were 'expiration date' (4.45), 'taste' (4.34), and 'price' (4.08). The two main reasons for eating processed foods were 'delicious' (43.1%) and 'convenient' (33.9%). Food labels were identified 'sometimes' (34.5%), 'rarely' (31.2%), and 'almost never' (18.6%). The primary reason for examining a food label was 'to confirm the expiration date' (52.6%). The main reason for not reviewing a food's label was 'habitual purchase' (57.8%). Nutrition labels were identified 'rarely' (33.4%), 'almost never' (24.7%), and 'sometimes' (23.5%). The reasons for examining nutrition labels included 'to confirm a high proportion of nutritive substances' (26.5%), 'boredom' (24.2%), 'for weight control' (23.5%), and 'to improve health' (18.1%). The main reason for not examining a food's nutrition label was 'not interested' (56.5%).
To offer basic data about the influential factors on patient's Satisfaction level for emergency medical services the authors were performed this study in 60 patients visited to emergency room of third stage general hospital in Taejeon city. Data were collected through interview with patients by using a 15 items' questionaire according to care subscale, teaching subscale of Likert's five stage quantitative scale and the tools developed by Barbara Davis. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS/PC computerized program for mean, standard deviation, percentage, ANOVA, t-test, and pearson correlation. The results are as followings ; 1. Satisfaction of emergency medical service were showed in care area, but not showed in teaching and total area 2. Satisfaction of sociodemographic characteristics were a statistically significant difference only marriage, that were the higher in marriaged than single(P<.0.05). 3. In the emergency situation characteristics the satisfaction accordings to the visit cause were lower in accident than disease group, the reason of hospital selection were in order trust, introduction group, distance, traffic, kinds, and score of satisfaction were showed each of 43.47, 51.27(P<.001), the transportation vehicle was the 119, hospital ambulance group. but were not a satistically significant difference. 4. The negative correlation was observed between satisfaction and the length of stay at ER and the longer length of stay at ER was showed the lower satisfaction. But the positive correlation was observed between satisfacton and the arrival time, patients who arrived ER from 6:00P.M. to midnight were more satisfied than patients who arrived other time. 5. The length of stay at ER was significantly different according to the reason of hospital selection, the reason of ER selection, the visitant cause and hopital decisioner. Especially the length of stay was much longer in accident group and unconscious group.
In this paper, I will show several theoretical nonconformities which can be found in P. Singer's concept of human beings. As we know, P. Singer is a well-known animal liberalist. On the one hand, Singer regards man as a subordinate being to nature and on the other, as a transcendent being. This is the first inconsistency of Singer's concept of man. His second inconsistency is related to his position on the power of reason. He believes that it is the product of evolution, and at the same time that it is a power to resist the blindness of evolution. Thirdly, he also exposes the contradictory attitude in evaluation on man's moral ability. Considering these three contradictions, it becomes clear that Singer has failed to prove his claim that there is no qualitative difference between human beings and animals. Despite the popularity of his theory, I believe the theoretical foundation of Singer's animal liberation theory is rather weak. The reason for revealing the weakness of Singer's theory is not to return to the practice of mercilessly handling animals but to show that it is wrong to undermine human dignity under the guise of animal welfare.
