실시간 Linux 환경에서 상주형 게이트웨이의 설계 (Residential Gateway Design under Realtime Linux Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 리눅스 환경에서 상주형(residential) 게이트웨이의 설계와 핵심 기능들의 구현 방법에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 기존 실시간 운영체계의 각 기능들에 관련된 최근의 연구 결과들을 활용하여 상주형 게이트웨이의 운영체계로서 실시간 리눅스론 안정적으로 실행시킬 수 있는 장치구동기(device driver)의 개발 사례를 제시하였으며, 시스템 내에서의 성능 특성을 정성적으로 분석하여 성능을 개선시킬 수 있는 방법을 설명하였다. 이를 통해 실시간 리눅스 환경에서 상수형 게이트웨이의 효율적인 구현 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • 무선 실시간 모니터링 시스템은 무선 모뎀, 중앙 모니터, 이동단말기, 데이터베이스 서버로 구성되며 환자의 이동성, 설치시간의 감소, 장기간으로 본 비용절감 등의 잇점을 제공한다. 또한 이 시스템은 환자 위치추적 서비스를 제공한다. 환자 위치 추적 서비스는 무선 모니터링 시스템의 경우 환자 이동중 위급 상황 발생시 응급 처치를 위해 반드시 제공되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 CSMA/CA프로토콜과 환자 위치 추적 알고리즘을 제안하고 이를 이용하여 무선 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • In this paper, the design and the implementation of a realtime monitoring system using WWW protocol over the Internet is described. The overall system architecture and the functional structure of the system are presented. A Java applet is used in the development of the system for the motion picture effect of JPEG still images. The system is tested on a LAN and the experimental results are described.

  • 최근 들어 IT기술을 농업 현장에 적용하여 경쟁력을 키우려는 연구를 하고 있다. 가축을 대량으로 사육하는 농장은 거주 지역에서 멀리 떨어져 있기 때문에 관리의 효율성을 위해 실시간 모니터링 및 제어장치가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 영상을 보면서 농장의 시설물을 제어하는 시스템에 대한 설계 및 구현을 기술하였다. 실시간 영상 스트리밍을 통해 설비의 작동을 확인함으로서 기존의 시스템에 비해 신뢰성을 확보하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method by which QP (Quadratic Programming) problems can be solved in realtime so that we can implement the predictive control algorithm on a microcontroller system. Firstly, we derive a solution to QP problems by converting the original QP problems to its equivalent least squares with inequalities. Secondly, we propose a predictive control algorithm that can give good realtime computation performance by utilizing the fact that some parameters needed for solving QP problems can be computed offline. Finally, we illustrate that the proposed method can give good realtime features by running the C-code application constructed using the proposed method on a microncontroller system.

  • This paper investigates the implementation and flight test of realtime vision guided autopilot system based on virtual instrumentation platform. A graphical design process via virtual instrumentation platform is fully used for the image processing, communication between systems, vehicle dynamics control, and vision coupled guidance algorithms. A significatnt ojective of the algorithm is to achieve an environment robust autopilot despite wind and an irregular image acquisition condition. For a robust vision guided path tracking and hovering performance, the flight path guidance logic is combined in a multi conditional basis with the position estimation algorithm coupled with the vehicle attitude dynamics. An onboard flight test equipped with the developed realtime vision guided autopilot system is done using the rotary UAV system with full attitude control capability. Outdoor flight test demonstrated that the designed vision guided autopilot system succeeded in UAV's hovering on top of ground target within about several meters under geenral windy environment.

  • In this paper, we researched abut CELP speech coding algorithm using efficlent pseudo-stochastic block codes, adaptive-codebook and improved fixed-gain codebook. The pseudo-stochastic block codes refer to stochastically populated block codes in which the adjacent codewords in an innovation codebook are non-independent. The adaptive-codebook was made with previous prediction speech data by storage-shift register. This CELP coding algorithm enables the coding of toll quality speech at bit rates from 4.8kbits/s to 9.6 kbits/s. This algorithm was realized TMS320C30 microprocessor in realtime.

  • In this research, we implement Realtime Air Diffusion Prediction System which is a parallel Fortran model running on distributed-memory parallel computers. The system is designed for air diffusion simulations with four-dimensional data assimilation. For regional air quality forecasting a series of dynamic downscaling technique is adopted using the NCAR/Penn. State MM5 model which is an atmospheric model. The realtime initial data have been provided daily from the KMA (Korean Meteorological Administration) global spectral model output. It takes huge resources of computation to get 24 hour air quality forecast with this four step dynamic downscaling (27km, 9km, 3km, and lkm). Parallel implementation of the realtime system is imperative to achieve increased throughput since the realtime system have to be performed which correct timing behavior and the sequential code requires a large amount of CPU time for typical simulations. The parallel system uses MPI (Message Passing Interface), a standard library to support high-level routines for message passing. We validate the parallel model by comparing it with the sequential model. For realtime running, we implement a cluster computer which is a distributed-memory parallel computer that links high-performance PCs with high-speed interconnection networks. We use 32 2-CPU nodes and a Myrinet network for the cluster. Since cluster computers more cost effective than conventional distributed parallel computers, we can build a dedicated realtime computer. The system also includes web based Gill (Graphic User Interface) for convenient system management and performance monitoring so that end-users can restart the system easily when the system faults. Performance of the parallel model is analyzed by comparing its execution time with the sequential model, and by calculating communication overhead and load imbalance, which are common problems in parallel processing. Performance analysis is carried out on our cluster which has 32 2-CPU nodes.

  • The purpose of this paper is to explain the implementation method in order to enhance stability and reliability of embedded system. In this research, Texas Instrument (TI)'s TMS570 MCU(Micro Controller Unit) is used to satisfy the standard of stability that is IEC 61508. IEC 61508 suggest SIL(Safety Integrity Level) from 1 to 4 and TMS570 is satisfied SIL3. Also, TMS570 can provide several stability functions can be used in realtime system. To use such functions, this paper suggest the solution about the defect that can be used in realtime system. In basic way TMR(Triple Modular Redundancy) suggested in addition to explain about the way to improve safety and reliability. Also this paper will suggest the method that reinforce the stability of calculation by using multiplex voter and memory.
