  • In this paper, we propose a multiple access scheme for efficient transmission of realtime and non-realtime data in IMT-2000 through cdma2000's CDMA MACD. On the contrast to the conventional circuit-based service, this framework is packet-oriented service. maximum number of simultaneous subscribers increases due to the statistical multiplexing based on variable transmission rate of realtime data. System performance is evaluated and compared with conventional circuit-based scheme considering transmission delay and channel utilization by computer simulation.

  • Nowadays, according to rapid development of computing environments, information processing and analysis system are very interesting research area. As a viewpoint of data preparation-processing-analysis in knowledge technology, the goal of automated information system is to satisfy high reliability and confidence and to minimize of human-administrator intervention. In addition, we expect the system which can deal with problem and abnormal error effectively as a fault detection and fault tolerance. In this paper, we design a monitoring system as follows. A productive monitoring information from various systems has unstructured forms and characteristics and crawls informative data by conditions and gathering rules. For representing of monitering information which requested by administrator, running-status can be able to check dynamically and systematic like connection/closed status in real-time. Our proposed system can easily correct and processing for monitoring information from various type of server and support to make objective judgement and analysis of administrator under operative target of information system. We implement semi-realtime monitering system using AJAX technology for dynamic browsing of web information and information processing using XML and XPATH. We apply our system to SMS server for checking running status and the system shows that has high utility and reliability.

  • The growth of using smartphone and tablet pc has enabled variety kinds of realtime applications. In these applications, the data which we called data stream is multidimensional, continuous, rapid, and time-varying. However the traditional Database Management System (DBMS) suffers from processing the real time and complex application, in this paper we proposed the framework for CCR Data Stream Server's design and implementation that compiled with Data Stream Database Management System (DSMS) and DBMS in EMR system. The system enables users not only to query stored CCR information from DBMS, but also to execute continues query for the real-time CCR Data Stream.

  • Like the phase array based ultrasonic system, complicated electronics has been used for real time signal processing in the magnetostrictive long-range ultrasonic testing(LRUT) system. This study shows that the software approach including the phase compensation, noise filtering and waveform transformation takes advantage rather than the previous hardware approach. Furthermore, it is possible for the software approach to be able more flexible and efficient realtime signal processing. These results will contribute to a cost-effective LRUT system and analysis of the inspection data.

  • An efficient modeling and management of a large amount of surface data for a wide rage of geographic information play an important role in determining the functionality of 3D geographic information system. It has been put many efforts to design and manage an effective way to enhence the manipulation of the data by considering geometry type and data structures. Recently, DEM(Data Elevation Model) and TIN(Triangulated Irregular Network) are used for representing surface data. In this paper, we propose a 3D data processing method. The method utilizes the major properties of DEM and TIN, respectively. Furthermore, by approximating DEM with a TIN of an appropriate resolution, we can support a fast and realistic surface modeling. We implement the structure with the following 4 level stages. The first is an optimal resolution of DEM which represent all of wide range of geographic data. The second is the full resolution DEM which is a subarea of original data generated by user's selection in our implemeatation. The third is the TIN approximation of this data with a proper resolution determined by the relative position with the camera. And the last step is multi-resolution TIN data whose resolution is dynamically decided by considering which direction user take notice currently. Specially, the TIN of the last step is designed for realtime camera navigation. By using the structure we implemented realtime surface clipping, efficient approximation of height field and the locally detailed surface LOD(Level of Detail). We used the initial 10-meter sampling DEM data of Seoul, KOREA and implement the structure to the 3D Virtual GIS based on the Internet.

  • For given 3D geographic data which is usually of DEM(Data Elevation Model) format, we have to represent and manipulate the data in various ways. For example, we have to draw a part of them in drawing canvas. To do this we give users a way of selecting area they want to visualize. And we have to give a base tool for users to select the local area which can be chosen for some geographic operation. In this paper, we propose a 3D data processing method for representation and manipulation. The method utilizes the major properties of DEM and TIN(Triangular Irregular Network), respectively. Furthermore, by approximating DEM with a TIN of an appropriate resolution, we can support a fast and realistic surface modeling. We implement the structure with the following 4 level stages. • In this research, we implement Realtime Air Diffusion Prediction System which is a parallel Fortran model running on distributed-memory parallel computers. The system is designed for air diffusion simulations with four-dimensional data assimilation. For regional air quality forecasting a series of dynamic downscaling technique is adopted using the NCAR/Penn. State MM5 model which is an atmospheric model. The realtime initial data have been provided daily from the KMA (Korean Meteorological Administration) global spectral model output. It takes huge resources of computation to get 24 hour air quality forecast with this four step dynamic downscaling (27km, 9km, 3km, and lkm). Parallel implementation of the realtime system is imperative to achieve increased throughput since the realtime system have to be performed which correct timing behavior and the sequential code requires a large amount of CPU time for typical simulations. The parallel system uses MPI (Message Passing Interface), a standard library to support high-level routines for message passing. We validate the parallel model by comparing it with the sequential model. For realtime running, we implement a cluster computer which is a distributed-memory parallel computer that links high-performance PCs with high-speed interconnection networks. We use 32 2-CPU nodes and a Myrinet network for the cluster. Since cluster computers more cost effective than conventional distributed parallel computers, we can build a dedicated realtime computer. The system also includes web based Gill (Graphic User Interface) for convenient system management and performance monitoring so that end-users can restart the system easily when the system faults. Performance of the parallel model is analyzed by comparing its execution time with the sequential model, and by calculating communication overhead and load imbalance, which are common problems in parallel processing. Performance analysis is carried out on our cluster which has 32 2-CPU nodes.

  • In this paper, the multi-channel high speed data acquisition system is implemented. This high speed signal processing system for 3-D image display is applicable to the manipulation of a medical image processing, multimedia data and various fields of digital image processing. In order to convert the analog signal into digital one, A/D conversion circuit is designed. PCI interface method is designed and implemented, which is capable of transmission a large amount of data to computer. In order to, especially, channel extendibility of images acquisition, bus communication method is selected. By using this bus method, we can interface each module effectively. In this paper, 32-channel A/D conversion and PCI interface system for 3-dimensional and real-time display of the retina image is developed. The 32-channel image acquisition system and high speed data transmission system developed in this paper is applicable to not only medical image processing as 3-D representation of retina image but also various fields of industrial image processing in which the multi-point realtime image acquisition system is needed.

In this system, analyzing of speech signal, learning of neural network, labeling of output neurons and visualizing of recognition results are performed on realtime. The developing environment for speech processing is established by adding various functions, such as editing, saving, loading of speech data and 3-D or gray level displaying of spectrogram. Recognition experimental using Korean phone had a 71.42% for 13 basic consonant and 90.01% for 7 basic vowel accuracy.
