A study on the use of reserve power in wartime by private guards (민간경비원 전시 예비전력 활용에 대한 연구)

  • Massacres of civilians are being committed in the Russia-Ukraine war, and the war is becoming a long-term war due to a lack of support for reserve combat forces. Considering the reality that South Korea is experiencing a rapid population decline and is rapidly entering an aging society, we are at a point where the nature of the war with North Korea must change. Among them, if private security guards are placed under the control of the police as regular security and crime prevention personnel and used as an alternative resource for reserve forces to ensure the safety of wartime areas and residents and prepare for long-term wars, it will help preserve combat power and maintain sustainability.Regarding private security, considering Japan's further development, we compared it with ours and looked into ways to utilize it as a reserve force for a divided country. In a future where low birth rates will lead to a decrease in military strength, if private security guards are used in local security vacuums during peacetime and participate in local defense during wartime, it could help improve the Korean military's reserve force.

Analyzing the Current State of the Metaverse: A Christian Theological Perspective (메타버스의 현황 분석을 통한 기독 신학적 관점에 관한 연구)

  • The metaverse is a 3D virtual space where users interact with each other using avatars, merging the real and virtual worlds. While the metaverse is currently being integrated into various fields such as education, work, and entertainment, there are few examples of its application within a Christian context. This study aims to the first, summarize the current state of the metaverse both domestically and internationally, and to categorize existing Christian-oriented metaverse initiatives. The second is to examine theological perspectives on the metaverse, considering both negative and positive viewpoints, and propose a new theological framework. Research Results indicate that the utilization of the metaverse within Christian churches is minimal. Negative perspectives on the metaverse include: addiction, confusion stemming from the use of avatars, blurring the lines between the virtual and real worlds, and the risk of the metaverse replacing the church. Positive perspectives highlight its potential for missions, exploring new frontiers, and educational applications.

  • This research is to identify the status of the curriculum based on dental hygiene programs, the awareness about medical service technologists, etc. act and job demands of students in the department of dental hygiene. The data was collected by self-reported questionnaires from 536 dental hygiene students. This data was analyzed using SPSS 19.0K program for Windows with a statistical significance level of 0.05. The level of objective awareness of the current Medical Service Technologists Act was higher for females(9.14±1.11) than for males(8.56±1.79)(p=0.043). Meanwhile, there was little difference between college and university(p=0.639), whereas the level dropped as the number of clinical practice experiences went up(p=0.045). Therefore, the law in convergence needs to be revised to reflect the reality of dental hygienists' work, and the dental community needs to change its perception that dental hygienists are not only recognized as assistant workers but also as business partners.

  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) appears most in childhood and shows attention deficit, hyperactivity and impulsive activity. If these symptoms are left untreated, they consistently remain as difficulties throughout the childhood and in some cases they will last until adolescence and adulthood. Various researches on music therapy as well as psychological therapy and Korean classical music appreciation have currently been conducted. However, a variety of programs have introduced in the name of treatment but the improvement results through the application of programs and teaching methods, in reality, have hardly been a specific case. Thus, music educators as well as this researcher should make the efforts to form holistic characters and have interest in countless children with ADHD. Accordingly, this researcher, who has taught piano lessons, has performed a wide variety of convergence art teaching methods by applying methods of Dalcroze, Kodaly, and Orff to children with ADHD, misanthropy or lack of affection. As a result, symptoms have lessened and been treated for ADHD children with attention deficit. On the basis of this experience, there have appeared more educational effects by applying these to other children. This researcher is certain that this study will a foundation of music therapy education for children with each kind of syndrome.

Development of Convergence Education Program Based on 3D Panorama Virtual Fieldwork Courses on Water Spider in Eundaeri (은대리 물거미 서식지의 3D 파노라마 가상야외학습장 융합교육 프로그램 개발)

  • This study used Natural Monument water spiders and their habitats as educational contents, so those students could have a scientific literacy and the beautiful memories of Eundaeri's marshes through developing a virtual fieldwork courses (VFC) and observing the ecology of water spiders. In order to develop the program, the 2015 revised national curriculum and its textbooks were analyzed. In accordance with the STEAM model, we developed teaching-learning materials for 7 classes. Students produced 3D panorama virtual fieldwork courses (PVFC) about water spider by team-based cooperative learning, enabling them to emotionally experience the meaning and value of water spiders. A panel of six education experts verified the validity of the program and found it to be fairly valid at 4.24 (CVI = .88) on the 5-point Likert scale. In order to confirm the suitability of the program, students in the middle school science clubs participated in pilot testing camp. Their average classes satisfaction was 4.24 and students were very satisfied with the usefulness of the program, the fresh learning contents, and the suitability of the convergence education class. This study could contribute to convergence education related to ecology and virtual reality for adolescents.

  • Metaverse, realistic virtual space technology has become a hot topic. However, due to the lack of an institutional system to the metaverse environment, concerns are rising over the leakage of industrial confidentiality, including digital assets produced, stored, processed, and transferred within the metaverse. Digital forensics, a technology to defend against hacking attacks in cyberspace, cannot be used in metaverse space, and there is no basis for calculating the extent of damage and tracking responsibility, making it difficult to respond to human resources leakage and cyberhacking effectively. In this paper, we define the scope of industrial confidentiality information and leakage scenario and propose policy and institutional measures based on problems in each metaverse scenario. As a result of the study, it was necessary to prepare a standardized law on Extra-territorial search and seizure issues and a system for collecting cryptocurrency evidence to respond to industrial confidentiality leaks in the metaverse. The study expects to contribute to industrial technology development by preparing in advance for problems that may arise in metaverse technology.

Meta-analysis of the Effects of Untact Convergence Exercise Programs on Balance, Gait, and Falls Efficacy of Parkinson's Disease Patients (비대면 방식을 융합한 운동 프로그램이 파킨슨 환자의 균형, 보행, 낙상 효능감에 미치는 효과에 관한 메타분석)

  • In this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to find out the effects of convergent "untact" exercise programs on the balance, gait, and falls efficacy of Parkinson's patients. In this study, the PICO were Parkinson's disease, virtual reality program and an e-exercise program intervention, a comparative intervention with the contact interventions applied, and without any interventions applied, outcomes were balance, gait, and fall efficacy. The survey period was between January and February 2021, and five papers were selected and subjected to meta-analysis. Risk of bias, a tool commonly used for randomized control trial studies, was used. Furthermore, RevMan program was used to investigate effect size of untact exercise programs. The result of the meta-analysis showed that the effect size of balance of the untact exercise program group was 1.27 (SMD=1.27; 95% CI 0.72 to 1.83) (Z=4.51, p<0.001), the effect size of fall efficacy was 0.52 (SMD=0.52; 95% CI -0.000 to 1.03) (Z=1.96, p=0.05), and the effect size of gait was -0.40 (SMD=-0.40; 95% CI -1.00 to 0.10)(Z=1.32, p>0.05). A total of 5 literature analysis showed that untact exercise program is more effective in improving balance and falls efficacy than contact exercise program, but no difference in effectiveness was shown on gait.

  • Since the advent of the Smart Devices, the smartphone has become a popular tool to view Webtoon. This phenomenon has caused the convergence of cutting-edge technologies and Webtoons in diverse forms, creating unique versions of Webtoons including, but not limited to Smart-toon, Effect-toon, Cut-toon, Dubbing-toon, Moving-toon, AR-toon, VR-toon, and Interaction-toon. By comparison to these rich diversities of Webtoons in the online industry, there is a lack of academic research on this topic. There are some papers which talk about the different types of multimedia technology conversion and its case presentation or the effectiveness and problems of visual effect, but the effects of these convergence technologies on comic readers' concentration and reading effectiveness have never been investigated so far. Therefore, this paper will discuss the unique method of immersive storytelling that is often used in comics and analyze each aspects of immersive method in technology-converged Webtoons along with its problems. Furthermore, this paper will analyze different aspects of "immersion" and interaction elements that can be found in the popular Interaction-toon, (Encountered). Through this, this paper discusses the positive influence of the interaction elements on comic readers' immersion level and its limitation. To classify the technology-converged Webtoons in terms of the immersion level, the Effect-toon sometimes interferes viewer's flow by using excessive use of multimedia effect, creating information overload. The Smart-toon which applied motions to each frame under horizontal mode of smartphones was a good try, but it hindered the readers' activeness and made it hard for the readers to be fully absorbed in the story. The VR-toon, which utilizes virtual reality gadgets to allow viewers to explore the world of Webtoon was also a nice try to overcome the limitation of vertical screens. However, it often caused dispersion of user's attention and reduced the users' immersion level. The Moving-toon which only emphasized the reading convenience also invaded readers' activeness and disturb users' concentration. On the other hand, the cartoonist Il-Kwon Ha applied high technologies such as face recognition technology, augmented reality techniques, 360-degree panorama technology, and haptic technology to his cartoon (Encountered). This allowed the readers to form a sense of closeness towards the cartoon characters which let the readers to identify themselves with the characters and interact with them. By this way, the readers can be fully immersed in the story. However, technology abuse, impractical production and hackneyed storylining often showed later in the story remains as its limitations.

  • The purpose of this current study is to explore use of pod casting. First, the study investigated types of motivation for using pod casting. Secondly, based on theory of planned behavior, we analyzed how social norm, attitude, and self-efficacy regarding using of pod casting influence people's using behavior of pod casting. We found the four different types of motivation for using pod casting: Everyday life information, entertainment, flee from reality, and professional information. Regarding theory of planned behavior, the theory was significant model to explain use of pod casting, and self-efficacy was the most significant variable to predict use of pod casting.

  • This paper proposed image matching technique that find out the truth of the wild ginseng through smart phone when the common person discovered a plant like a wild ginseng. Also sharing a location and information by SNS, we can improve the probability of wild ginseng discovery. Image matching technique using OpenCV porting in android finds out the truth of the wild ginseng with comparing existing it. Thus we are able to compare and analysis them in our application program. For more verification, we added marking function of wild ginseng position for information sharing between users.
