  • To apply the real-time kinematic GPS surveying technique, this research has tried to obtain the TOKYO datum first from the continuous reference stations distributed all over the country. Then, analysis of the geography of a coastal area including both of land and sea has been carried out by the post-processed continuous kinematic GPS technique and the real-time kinematic GPS surveying technique. After considering the initial conditions and measuring time zone for real-time kinematic GPS, post-processed and the real-time kinematic GPS measurements have been carried out. A new system has been proposed to store measured data by using a program developed to store GPS data in real time and to monitor the satellite condition through controller simultaneously. The accuracy of GPS data acquired in real time was as good as that acquired by post processing. It is expected that it will be useful for the analysis of coastal geographic characteristics because DTM can be also constructed for the harbor reclamation, the dredging and the variation of soil movement in a river.

  • In this paper a web-based real-time education system, which is able to support education through multimedia, is suggested for the expansion of learner's creative ability in the school. This system is designed so that it can support three things: 1) a real time interaction between interaction between instructors and learners, 2) individual learning through such an interaction, and 3) a coercive distribution of display by instructions for preventing the deviation of learners from learning. Also, the system, which UML is applied to, makers efficient interaction possible through the module for the real-time exchange and management of messages even in the multi-user environment. Through this system, not only the simulation by learners can be made for experiments and practices, but also questions and respondence can be supported on the procedure of experiments and the analysis of their results. This system is bulit on constructivism, and aimed at helping the learning progress and knowledge formation of learners.

  • Due to old Toshiba EMS's database size limit and hardware old aging, KPX(Korea Power Exchange) had introduced New EMS from AREVA(old ALSTOM) in July 2002. After then KPX had committed many man power and time to normalize EMS NA(Network Analysis) functions for using real power system. At initial stage, to normalize State Estimator which is the backbone of all other NA functions and DTS(Dispatcher Training Simulator}, KPX had corrected numerous topology errors, network model errors, non-scanned and wrongly scanned SCADA measured errors. After SE function study, running test and tuning, State Estimator could finally have been run properly and stably from June 2003. Based on SE running, KPX had normalized real time Contingency Analysis, and study mode Power Flow, STNET and DTS. From early 2004, dispatchers have been trained to use NA and DTS for the purpose of stable SE running, NA operation & results reading and urgent equipment outage reviewing. EMS NA have been greatly contributed to operate real time power system stably. Above NA normal operation by KPX own efforts under the no experience of NA running, KPX made a good precedent. This paper is intended to introduce EMS NA normalization process, operation status, and etc in Korea power system operation.

  • This study check the construction site and borrow pit location using GIS-based Open Global Map. Construction Equipment (Dump, Grader) utilizes the GPS (Global Positioning System) to gain equipment's real-time position, speed, altitude, using the data such as directions to perform real-time monitoring. The analysis of the productivity is completed through using the data, and the optimal number of equipment is calculated. It was found that the analysis results showed approximately 30% less cost compared to the actual design plan.

  • This paper deals with research on innovative systems using Python-based artificial intelligence technology in the field of plant growth monitoring. The importance of monitoring and analyzing the health status and growth environment of plants in real time contributes to improving the efficiency and quality of crop production. This paper proposes a method of processing and analyzing plant image data using computer vision and deep learning technologies. The system was implemented using Python language and the main deep learning framework, TensorFlow, PyTorch. A camera system that monitors plants in real time acquires image data and provides it as input to a deep neural network model. This model was used to determine the growth state of plants, the presence of pests, and nutritional status. The proposed system provides users with information on plant state changes in real time by providing monitoring results in the form of visual or notification. In addition, it is also used to predict future growth conditions or anomalies by building data analysis and prediction models based on the collected data. This paper is about the design and implementation of Python-based plant growth monitoring systems, data processing and analysis methods, and is expected to contribute to important research areas for improving plant production efficiency and reducing resource consumption.

  • This paper presents a analysis method for dynamic characteristics of power system using a Genetic-based Power System Stabilizer(PSS). The proposed PSS parameters are optimized using Genetic Algorithm(GA) in order to maintain optimal operation of generator under the various operating conditions. To decrease the computational time, real variable string is adopted. The results tested on a single machined infinite bus system verify that the proposed controller has better dynamic performance than conventional controller.

  • This study aimed to analyze the structural integrity of a sensor control box, a critical component for real-time monitoring of brake chamber pressure in large commercial vehicles and trailers. We utilized the computational analysis program ANSYS Workbench R2021 based on our testing conditions and vibration test specification KS R1034. Through modal analysis, we identified resonance frequencies within the frequency range of 5 Hz to 100 Hz and compared results in the frequency range of 33 Hz to 67 Hz using harmonic analysis.

  • Comparing with bar-code systems, RFID systems can supply more efficient work. Using RFID systems, logistic management systems could be helped effectively to gather real-time information. It's available to reduce the working time and object's delay time, and to deal with real-time information by using RFID system. Until now, based on how many pallets used, there is few study about best workload of RFID system. Therefore, in this study, both bar-code and RFID system simulations were executed for inspection process in distribution center. As a result, following the ware pallet quantity, the total cost of both working time and other delay times were calculated and the sensitivity analysis of total cost trend was executed.

  • When we design real-time software target system is analyzed and then we structure sequential executive modules into concurrent tasks. As a result of the analysis, control flow and dataflow diagram based on the RTSA notation is produced. This diagram is structured into concurrenttasks under the condition that performance problem is not serious. The criteria structuring concurrenttasks are introduced as Concurrent Design Approach for Real-Time System(CODARTS) by Gomaa. But structuring concurrent tasks using the criteria of CODARTS is somewhat difficult because thecriteria are dependent on designer's experience. CODARTS is an wide-range and abstractmethodology. As a result, the design can be inconsistent and peoples can understand it differently Inthis paper, we restructure the CODARTS methodology, propose a revised CODARTS structure andrepresent the task structuring steps for this new framework to overcome the understanding andinconsistency problems. The revised CODARTS framework and task structuring steps can be used toautomate the design of real time concurrent software systems. Finally, we show an example of taskstructuring in revised CODARTS framework.

  • Recently, for real-time applications such as multimedia and signal processing, it becomes increasingly important to provide a probabilistic guarantee that each task in the application meets its deadline with a given probability. To provide the probabilistic guarantee, an analysis method is needed that can accurately predict the deadline miss probability for each task in a given system. This paper proposes a stochastic analysis method for real-time systems that use priority-driven scheduling, such as Rate Monotonic and Earliest Deadline First, in order to accurately compute the deadline miss probability of each task in the system. The proposed method accurately computes the response time distributions for tasks with arbitrary execution time distributions, and thus makes it possible to determine the deadline miss probability of individual tasks. In the paper. through experiments, we show that the proposed method is highly accurate and outperforms exisiting methods proposed in the literature.
