  • In this paper, we develope a intelligent monitoring system of Coastal Ocean Environment based on WWW(World Wide Web) and PCS(Personal Communication System). This system have capability of real time processing of enviromental variable from various sensors. The system is composed of three part. The first part is mathematical modeling of real ocean. The second is construction server for real time web page. And the third is developing the measurement system which has wireless(PCS) interface to server.

  • Laser therapy is becoming an accepted procedure for tissue coagulation and ablation and is especially useful in treating tumors. The laser energy is applied to the tissue of interest through various delivery systems which are introduced percutaneously, via blood vessels, through body openings, or during surgical exposure of the tissue. One of the major obstacles to effective application of lasers has been the lack of reliable method to determine the extent of tissue involvement in real time. Several methods have been proposed for monitoring the tissue response and controlling the laser in real time during laser therapy. Among them, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) has been introduced to monitor laser-tissue interactions because laser irradiation induces changes not only in the thermal motions of the hydrogen protons within the tissue but also in the distribution and mobility of water and lipids. The buttocks of New Zealand rabbits were treated by KTP and $CO_2$laser(power : 10 watts, exposure time:10 seconds). m images were taken at immediately after lasering, 1 week later, 2 weeks later, and at the same time, tissues were harvested for histopathologic study. We analyzed MR images and histopathologic findigs of laser-treated tissues. The MR images taken immediately after laser treatment showed 3 layer pattern and which was correlated with histopathologic changes. We suggest MRI may become a useful monitoring tools for laser-tissue interaction.

다중 시계열 패턴인식을 이용한 반도체 생산장치의 지능형 감시시스템 (An Intelligent Monitoring System of Semiconductor Processing Equipment using Multiple Time-Series Pattern Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 시계열 패턴인식 사용하여 생산장치의 상태자료부터 공정결과를 예측하여 정상 또는 비정상을 판정하는 지능형 감시시스템에 관하여 기술한다. 제안하는 감시스템은 초기화, 학습 그리고 인식의 세 단계로 구성된다. 초기화 단계에서는 감시대상의 생산장치가 가지는 인사들 각각의 가중치와 각 인자들이 가지는 시계열 자료 중에서 학습과 인식에 유효단계를 설정한다. 학습단계에서는 LBG알고리즘을 사용하여 이 생산장치에 의하여 생성되고 수집된 패턴들을 군집화 한다. 각 패턴은 시계열 형태의 자료와 처리 완료 후 계측기에 의하여 측정된 ACI로 구성된다. 인식단계에서는 DTW를 사용하여 실시간으로 입력된 패턴과 군집화된 패턴들 사이의 대응을 수행하여 가장 잘 정합되는 패턴을 찾는다. 다음은 이 패턴이 가지는 ACI, 차 그리고 가중치들의 조합으로 예측된 ACI 값을 산출한다. 최종적으로 예측된 ACI가 정상으로 수용할 수 있는 값 범위에 없는지 여부를 결정한다. 제안하는 시스템의 성능평가를 위하여 식각장치로부터 획득된 자료를 대상으로 실험하였다. 실험결과에서는 학습횟수가 증가함에 따라 예측 ACI값과 실측ACI값 사이의 오차가 현저히 감소함을 볼 수 있다

11개 혈관 차단법을 통한 중증 뇌경색 모델에서 뇌손상 측정과 침치료 효과 실시간 분석 (Real-Time Glutamate Release in Rat Striatum of 11-Vessel-Occlusion Ischemia Model Treated with Acupuncture)

  • Acupuncture has long been contended to be effective in an ischemic stroke. A real-time monitoring of glutamate, an excitotoxin in the process of ischemic neuronal damage, in the striatum is tried in a rat model of global ischemia. Global ischemia was induced by the 11 vessel occlusion method for 10 minutes, during which acupuncture stimulation on GB34 and GB39 points was executed. Glutamate release in the rat striatum was monitored 256 times per second using real-time amperometric biosensor. Real time measurement data of 10 minutes prior to the induction of ischemia served as baseline data. Data acquisition continued for 30 minutes after the initiation of reperfusion. Peak concentration of glutamate release along with incidentally measured EEG and cerebral blood flow was compared between cases with and without acupuncture stimulation. Peak concentration of glutamate lowered when acupuncture stimulation was executed. A real time monitoring system of 11 vessel-occlusion induced global ischemia model was successfully established. The effect by acupuncture on acute global ischemia was successfully observed in this real-time monitoring setting, which may be one of the neuroprotective mechanism of acupuncture.

천리안 위성통신을 이용한 실시간 원격 선박 모니터링 체계 구축 (Construction of real-time remote ship monitoring system using Ka-band payload of COMS)

  • 2010년 발사된 천리안 위성에는 3개의 탑재체가 있으며, 그 중 미래창조과학부와 전자통신연구원에서 개발한 Ka-band 통신 탑재체가 있다. 본 연구에서는 천리안 통신위성을 이용하여 구축한 실시간 원격 선박 모니터링 체계를 소개한다. 이 체계는 실시간 자료 수집, 실시간 자료 전송, 실시간 자료처리/가시화, 크게 총 3단계로 구성된다. 논문에서는 각 단계 수행을 위해 설치한 H/W와 개발한 S/W 내역, 그리고 실시간 자료 수집에서부터, 실시간 전송, 실시간 처리 및 가시화에 이르기까지 과정에 대해 상세히 기술한다. 또한 이러한 과정을 위해 각 단계에서 요구되는 H/W 및 S/W의 기능적 요구사항과 구축 시 고려되어야 하는 사항 등에 대해서도 기술한다. 현재 해당 체계를 이용하여 소청초 해양과학기지에 설치된 AIS로부터 수집되는 선박자료를 준실시간 전송하고, 과학기지 주변 해역의 원격 선박 모니터링을 진행 중이다. 이러한 실시간 원격 모니터링 체계는 효율적인 해양 감시, 사고에 대한 신속한 대응을 가능하게 하며, 특히 이러한 통신 위성 활용 체계는 향후 차세대 민관방송통신위성의 해양분야 통신활용 방향 도출에 있어 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • The CCTV, closed circuit television, system is the most popular method to monitor some specific area. The CCTV-based monitoring system is composed of a lot of cameras installed the areas, and monitors to display the vision through the cameras. However, these systems have limitations to prevent some problems or to cope with the problems promptly, because they can carry out only the function that shows us the analogue images of the cameras. Especially, urban transit service area is the space where many people crowd in all at the same time and the space is not only wide but also distributed sporadically. This paper presents the efficient plan for video-based monitoring system to monitor urban transit service area. To build the efficient monitoring system, it is necessary to devide the monitoring area to appropriate sectors that should be composed to be displayed at a time. If the proposed method is used to construct the video-based monitoring system, the operating officers in the urban transit have the more direct and real images.

  • The deep excavation work in Korean downtown is almost excuted near by existing structures and utility lines because of the diminution of available yard for construction. So, it was required more and more that the accurate control of displacement on the earth retaining system for minimizing the popular complaint and the damage from constructional accident. Automatic monitoring system is adopted in fracture zone for real time monitoring. In addition, Face mapping is carried out on the face of fracture zone according to excavation sequence. As the result of automatic monitoring system and face mapping, we was able to take the necessary reinforcement and changing excavation method within suitable time. This paper is informed about a stability case on the deep rock excavation site with fracture zone in urban area by automatic monitoring system.

  • A Tool wear monitoring system is indispensable for better machining productivity with guarantee of machining safety by informing the tool changing time in automated and unmanned CNC machining. Different from monitoring using other signals, the monitoring of spindle current has been used without requiring additional sensors on machine tools. For the reliable tool wear monitoring, current signal only of tool wear should be extracted from other parameters to avoid exhaustive analyses on signals in which all parameters are fused. In this paper, influences of force components of parameters on measured spindle current are investigated and a hybrid approach to cutting force regulation is employed for tool wear signal extraction in the spindle current. Finally, wear levels are verified with experimental results by means of real-time feedrate aspects changed to regulate the force component of tool wear.

Methodology for real-time adaptation of tunnels support using the observational method

  • The observational method in tunnel engineering allows the evaluation in real time of the actual conditions of the ground and to take measures if its behavior deviates considerably from predictions. However, it lacks a consistent and structured methodology to use the monitoring data to adapt the support system in real time. The definition of limit criteria above which adaptation is required are not defined and complex inverse analysis procedures (Rechea et al. 2008, Levasseur et al. 2010, Zentar et al. 2001, Lecampion et al. 2002, Finno and Calvello 2005, Goh 1999, Cui and Pan 2012, Deng et al. 2010, Mathew and Lehane 2013, Sharifzadeh et al. 2012, 2013) may be needed to consistently analyze the problem. In this paper a methodology for the real time adaptation of the support systems during tunneling is presented. In a first step limit criteria for displacements and stresses are proposed. The methodology uses graphics that are constructed during the project stage based on parametric calculations to assist in the process and when these graphics are not available, since it is not possible to predict every possible scenario, inverse analysis calculations are carried out. The methodology is applied to the "Bois de Peu" tunnel which is composed by two tubes with over 500 m long. High uncertainty levels existed concerning the heterogeneity of the soil and consequently in the geomechanical design parameters. The methodology was applied in four sections and the results focus on two of them. It is shown that the methodology has potential to be applied in real cases contributing for a consistent approach of a real time adaptation of the support system and highlight the importance of the existence of good quality and specific monitoring data to improve the inverse analysis procedure.
