Car detection area segmentation using deep learning system

  • A recently research, object detection and segmentation have emerged as crucial technologies widely utilized in various fields such as autonomous driving systems, surveillance and image editing. This paper proposes a program that utilizes the QT framework to perform real-time object detection and precise instance segmentation by integrating YOLO(You Only Look Once) and Mask R CNN. This system provides users with a diverse image editing environment, offering features such as selecting specific modes, drawing masks, inspecting detailed image information and employing various image processing techniques, including those based on deep learning. The program advantage the efficiency of YOLO to enable fast and accurate object detection, providing information about bounding boxes. Additionally, it performs precise segmentation using the functionalities of Mask R CNN, allowing users to accurately distinguish and edit objects within images. The QT interface ensures an intuitive and user-friendly environment for program control and enhancing accessibility. Through experiments and evaluations, our proposed system has been demonstrated to be effective in various scenarios. This program provides convenience and powerful image processing and editing capabilities to both beginners and experts, smoothly integrating computer vision technology. This paper contributes to the growth of the computer vision application field and showing the potential to integrate various image processing algorithms on a user-friendly platform

  • 금융산업의 디지털 전환은 사용자에게 편리함을 제공하지만 기존에 존재하지 않던 보안상 취약점을 유발했다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 기계학습 기술을 적용한 사기 거래 탐지 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 모델 학습 과정에서 발생하는 데이터 불균형 문제로 인해 오랜 시간이 소요되고 탐지 성능이 저하되는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 데이터 오버 샘플링을 통해 이상 거래 탐지 시 데이터 불균형 문제를 해결하고 모델 학습 시간을 개선한 새로운 이상 거래 탐지 시스템(Fraud Detection System, FDS)을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 SMOTE(Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique)를 적용한 LSTM(Long-Short Term Memory) 알고리즘 기반의 FDS 프레임워크는 종래의 LSTM 알고리즘 기반의 FDS 모델과 비교했을 때, 데이터 사이즈가 96.5% 감소했으며, 정밀도, 재현율, F1-Score 가 34.81%, 11.14%, 22.51% 개선되었다.

Development of an Integrated Monitoring System for the Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste Near-surface Disposal Facility (방사성폐기물 표층처분시설 통합 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, the function and purpose of the disposal cover, which is an engineering barrier installed to isolate the disposal vault of the near-surface disposal facility for radioactive waste from natural/man-made intrusion, and the design details of the demonstration facility for performance verification were described. The Demonstration facility was designed in a partially divided form to secure the efficiency of measurement while being the same as the actual size of the surface disposal facility to be built in the Intermediate & low-level radioactive waste disposal site of the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORAD). The instruments used for measurement consist of a multi-point thermometer, FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) sensor, inclinometer, acoustic sensor, flow meter, and meteorological observer. It is used as input data for the monitoring system. The 3D monitoring system was composed of 5 layers using the e-government standard framework, and was developed based on 4 components: screen, control module, service module, and DBIO(DataBase Input Output) module, and connected them to system operation. The monitoring system can provide real-time information on physical changes in the demonstration facility through the collection, analysis, storage, and visualization processes.

  • Although online social network services widely used in human networking and recruiting industries, it is showing off its limitations in followings-it's hard to reach the status of seamless connection between offline and online; the incompletion and low credibility of the information came from non-face-to-face profile exchange; and the restraint of user autonomy due to centralized control. This paper defines the ubiquitous social network management which enables the seamless real-time face-to-face social interactions of the users based on WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) who share the same interest in real word and deduces a ubiquitous social network management framework based on it. As an instance of ubiquitous social network management, u-Recruiting service model will be designed and analyzed. The Analysis using the business model will be followed by the possible scenario of service model. The role, value proposition and potential benefits of the each participants in this service model and will be given as well. In order to evaluate relative advantages of the model suggested by this study, 6 cases will be compared.

Location Tracking and Remote Monitoring system of Home residents using ON/OFF Switches and Sensors (ON/OFF 스위치와 센서를 이용한 홈 거주자의 위치추적 및 원격모니터링 시스템)

  • In this paper, we researched the searching and tracking locations of a home resident using ON/OFF switches and sensors and designed a remote monitoring system. As an implementation environment, this system is developed on the base of the distributed object group framework we have developed from previous works. In order to trace the moving locations of a home resident, we firstly showed a home structure which attaches ON/OFF switches and sensors to home appliances and indoor facilities being fixed in home. Whenever a home resident opens/closes these objects, the signals operated from ON/OFF switches and sensors are sent to a home server system. In this time, the real locations of ON/OFF switches and sensors that the signals are being occurred must be the current location that he/she stays. A home server system provides the functionalities that map the real location of a resident in home to virtual location designed on remote desk-tops or terminals like PDAs, and that construct a healthcare database consisted of moving patterns, moving ranges, momentum for analyzing the given searching locations and times Finally, this system provides these information for remotely monitoring services.

  • Avionics System Integration Laboratory is the integrated test environment for integration and verification of avionics systems. When real equipment can not be used in the laboratory for various reasons, software models should be needed. Because there hasn't been any standardized method for the models so that it is difficult to reuse the developed models, the need for a framework to develop the avionics software models was emerged. We adopted DEVS(discrete event system specification) formalism as the standardized modeling method for the avionics software models. Due to DEVS formalism is based on event-driven algorithm, it doesn't accord a legacy system which has sequential and periodic algorithms. In this paper, we propose real-time event-driven modeling and simulation method for SIL to overcome these restrictions and to maximize reusability of avionics models through the analysis of the characteristics and the limitations of avionics models.

Structural health monitoring of high-speed railway tracks using diffuse ultrasonic wave-based condition contrast: theory and validation

  • Despite proven effectiveness and accuracy in laboratories, the existing damage assessment based on guided ultrasonic waves (GUWs) or acoustic emission (AE) confronts challenges when extended to real-world structural health monitoring (SHM) for railway tracks. Central to the concerns are the extremely complex signal appearance due to highly dispersive and multimodal wave features, restriction on transducer installations, and severe contaminations of ambient noise. It remains a critical yet unsolved problem along with recent attempts to implement SHM in bourgeoning high-speed railway (HSR). By leveraging authors' continued endeavours, an SHM framework, based on actively generated diffuse ultrasonic waves (DUWs) and a benchmark-free condition contrast algorithm, has been developed and deployed via an all-in-one SHM system. Miniaturized lead zirconate titanate (PZT) wafers are utilized to generate and acquire DUWs in long-range railway tracks. Fatigue cracks in the tracks show unique contact behaviours under different conditions of external loads and further disturb DUW propagation. By contrast DUW propagation traits, fatigue cracks in railway tracks can be characterised quantitatively and the holistic health status of the tracks can be evaluated in a real-time manner. Compared with GUW- or AE-based methods, the DUW-driven inspection philosophy exhibits immunity to ambient noise and measurement uncertainty, less dependence on baseline signals, use of significantly reduced number of transducers, and high robustness in atrocious engineering conditions. Conformance tests are performed on HSR tracks, in which the evolution of fatigue damage is monitored continuously and quantitatively, demonstrating effectiveness, adaptability, reliability and robustness of DUW-driven SHM towards HSR applications.

  • This study develops a day-to-day dynamics modeling framework, incorporating a consistent drivers' travel time perception behavior and traffic information provision. Descriptive traffic information is updated and provided to the subscribers making a final decision on route choice. Nonsubscribers(not equipped any information devices) are assumed to obtain daily traffic information from their experience or friends or other public agencies. Drivers' route choice behavior is modeled based on boundedly-rational behavior rules. A microscopic traffic simulation model is adopted to evaluate the network system performance. Numerical experiments on a real world network have demonstrated the convergent property of the proposed model and the effectiveness of the consistent perception model.

  • This study develops an agent-based simulation model to evaluate tourist information systems under ubiquitous environment. In this study, individual tourist's activity chaining behavior is formulated as a utility maximization problem. The underlying assumption of the model is that tourists increase their activities within their time and budget constraints to maximize their utilities. The model seeks individual's optimal tour schedule by solving Prize-Collecting Multiple-Day Traveling Salesman Problem(PC MD TSP). The simulation-based evaluation framework allows investigating individual utility gains by their information type and the total expenditure at each tour attractions. The real-time tour activity scheduling system enables tourists to optimize their tour activities by minimizing their time loss and maximizing their opportunity to use high utility facilities.

Optimal Berth and Crane Scheduling Using Constraint Satisfaction Search and Heuristic Repair (제약만족 탐색과 휴리스틱 교정기법을 이용한 최적 선석 및 크레인 일정계획)

  • The berth and crane scheduling problem in a container terminal encompasses the whole process of assigning berth to each ship, determining the duration of berthing, assigning container cranes to each ship, and determining the specific start and end time of each crane service, for all the ships scheduled to be arriving at the terminal during a certain scheduling horizon. This problem is basically a constraint satisfaction problem in which cranes and berths should be assigned in such a way that all the spatial and temporal constraints are satisfied without any interference. However, it is also an optimization problem because the requested arrival and departure time should be met for as many of the scheduled ships as possible, while the operation cost of the terminal should be minimized. In this paper, we present an effective and efficient approach to solving this type of problem, which combines constrain satisfaction search and heuristic repair. We first employ a constraint satisfaction search to find a feasib1e solution. Then, the feasible solution is modified to a more optimal one by iteratively applying our heuristic repair operations within the framework of constraint satisfaction search. Experimental results with a real data from Pusan East Container Terminal showed that our approach can derive a schedule of satisfactory quality in a very short time.
