폴리머 시멘트 슬러리 도장철근의 인발부착 특성 (Pullout Bond Characteristics of Polymer Cement Slurry Coated Rebars)

  • Recently, epoxy-coated re-bar used to the structure partly and put to practical use step, but not economical and appeared to the defect of deterioration of long term bond strength between concrete. The method for complement the defect of epoxy coated re-bar, study of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar started and basic properties appeared to excellent, but study of bond properties embedded in concrete specimens insufficient until now. This study attempts to examination of using possibility for bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete specimens compare to ACI Code and KS Code through pull-out test of 15cm$\times$15cm$\times$15cm specimens with polymer cement slurry coated re-bar as polymer cement ratio 50%, 100%, 150%, coating thickness 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 440${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and curing age. In the results of this study, the bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar compare to plain re-bar, epoxy coated re-bar decreased St/BA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar, but bond strength of PA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar appeared to excellent results. The bond properties of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete will be obtain more precise results according to compressive strength change of concrete and re-bar diameter size.

유리섬유 보강 플래스틱 Re-Bar 다발로 보강된 1방향 콘크리트 슬래브의 휨거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigations on the Flexural Behavior of One-Way Concrete Slabs Reinforced with GFRP Re-Bar Bundle)

  • 최근 철근의 부식과 관련된 철관콘크리트 바닥판의 내구성에 대한 문제점이 증가되면서 부식에 대한 저항성이 크며, 기존 구조용 재료에 비해 여러 가지 물리적, 역학적 장점을 가진 섬유보강플래스틱을 사용한 보강재의 사용성이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구는 GFRP Re-Bar 다발로 보강된 1방향 슬래브의 휨거동에 관한 실험적 연구로서, 국내에서 개발된 GFRP Re-bar의 인장시험을 수행하였으며, GFRP Re-Bar의 보강량을 증가시켜가며 단위 폭을 갖는 1방향 슬래브 실험체를 제작하고 3등분점 재하실험을 수행하였다. 각 실험체에 대한 이론적인 해석은 철근콘크리트 휨부재의 해석 및 설계방법을 수정, 보완하여 개발된 ACI Committee 440에 따라 수행하였으며, 실험결과와 이론적 해석결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 연구결과 ACI Committee 440에 의해 추정한 각 실험체의 하중­처짐 거동은 실험결과와 비교적 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었으며, FRP Re-Bar로 보강된 콘크리트 바닥판의 설계규준을 확립하기 위해서는 강도에 대한 한계상태뿐만 아니라 처짐 등 사용성에 대한 한계상태가 결정되어야 할 것이라 생각된다.

  • FRP Composite materials are widely applicable in the construction industries as a load-bearing structural element or a reinforcing and/or repairing materials for the concrete. In this paper, we presented the flexural behavior of FRP Re-bar and steel reinforced concrete beams and only FRP re-bars reinforced concrete beams. FRP Re-bar manufactured by different fibers but the same vinylester resin. Also, surface of FRP Re-bars is coated garnet and glass fiber by epoxy to increase the adhesive to concrete. Experimental investigation pertaining to the load-deflection and load-strain characteristics of two classfied specimens is presented and the theoretical prediction is also conducted. In the investigation, the effects of FRP Re-bar reinforcement are estimated. The experimental results arc compared with theoretical predictions. Good agreements arc observed.

SD500철근 커플러 이음의 편익/비용분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Benefit/Cost Analysis of Re-Bar Connection Methods for Hyper Strength(SD500) Reinforcement)

  • High-rise building is taking a place as one of building types from apartment housings to commercial buildings. With taking in account of stability and durability, strength of used materials is increasing gradually in these high-rise buildings. According to this, frequency in use of SD500 re-bar is increasing gradually in high-rise buildings. However the study of SD500 re-bar is insufficient because SD500 re-bar started to be used for domestic buildings lately. Specially because there is no guide or study to refer to, people get into difficulties when to decide the method of re-bar connection in construction using SD500 re-bar. Accordingly in this study, it suggests the method of estimating the economical efficiency on SD500 re-bar connection, and conducts benefit/ cost analysis on lapped splice and coupler splice by applying AHP theory, and then presents its result. After to analyze re-bar diameter of D25, 29, and 32, finally we attained the result that the coupler splice is advantageous in all parts of benefit/ cost more than the lapped splice.

콘크리트 보강용 고연성 하이브리드 FRP 보강근의 인장 및 파괴 특성 (Tensile Behavior and Fracture Properties of Ductile Hybrid FRP Reinforcing Bar for Concrete Reinforcement)

  • FRP re-bar in concrete structures could be used as a substitute of steel re-bars for that cases in which aggressive environment produce high steel corrosion, or lightweight is an important design factor, or transportation cost increase significantly with the weight of the materials. But FRP fibers have only linearly elastic stress-strain behavior; whereas, steel re-bar has linear elastic behavior up to the yield point followed by large plastic deformation and strain hardening. Thus, the current FRP re-bars are not suitable concrete reinforcement where a large amount of plastic deformation prior to collapse is required. The main objectives of this study in to evaluate the tensile behavior and the fracture mode of hybrid FRP re-bar. Fracture mode of hybrid FRP re-bar is unique. The only feature common to the failure of the hybrid FRP re-bars and the composite is the random fiber fracture and multilevel fracture of sleeve fibers, and the resin laceration behavior in both the sleeve and the core areas. Also, the result of the tensile and interlaminar shear stress test results of hybrid FRP re-bar can provide its excellent tensile strength-strain and interlaminar stress-strain behavior.

화학적 환경에 노출된 콘크리트 보강용 FRP 보강근의 장기 효과 (Long-Term Effect of Chemical Environments on FRP Reinforcing Bar for Concrete Reinforcement)

  • 철근의 부식은 철근콘크리트 구조물의 주요파괴 원인이다. 철근의 부식에 대한 문제점을 해결할 가능성이 있는 재료 중 FRP 보강근은 그 가능성이 높다. 그렇지만 FRP 보강근은 보강철근과 다른 파괴 매카니즘으로 의하여 현저하게 성능이 저하될 가능성을 가지고 있다. 이와 같은 환경에는 알칼리, 산, 염해 및 물과 수분 등이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 FRP 보강근의 화학적 환경하에서의 내구성능을 평가하고자 하였으며 사용된 FRP 보강근은 2가지 종류의 CFRP 보강근 및 GFRP 보강근, 한가지 종류의 AFRP 보강근으로 알칼리용액, 산용액, 염해환경 및 중성용액에 노출시켰다. FRP 보강근의 역학적 특성 및 내구특성은 인장, 압축 및 전단시험을 통하여 평가하였으며 시험결과 FRP 보강근은 매우 혹독한 화학적 환경에서 우수한 내구성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The corrosion of steel reinforcing bar(re-bar) has been the major cause of the reinforced concrete deterioration. FRP(Fiber-reinforced polymer) reinforcing bar has emerged as one of the most promising and affordable solutions to the corrosion problems of steel reinforcement in structural concrete. In this study, long-term durability performance of FRP re-bar were evaluated. The mechanical and durability properties of two type of CFRP- and GFRP re-bar were investigated; the FRP re-bars were subjected to alkaline solution, acid solution, salt solution and deionized water. The mechanical and durability properties were investigated by performing tensile and short beam tests. Experimental results confirmed the desirable resistance of FRP re-bar to aggressive chemical environment.

The study of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar was started in order to complement the defect of epoxy coated re-bar, and ever since the basic properties appeared to be excellent. But, study of bond properties embedded in concrete specimens was insufficient until now. This study attempts to examine the possibility of improving the bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete specimens in accordance with ACI Code and KS Code through pull-out test of 150mm$\times$150mm$\times$150mm substrates with polymer cement slurry coated re-bar having polymer cement ratios of 50%, 75% and 100%, coating thickness 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 450 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and with curing ages of 3, 7 and 28 days. High strength concrete was designed having a compressive strength of 500kgf/cm2 as specified. Practical bond length ranges of 55 and 85mm were applied to each of specimen. The bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar using St/BA-1 and St/BA-2 was compared to that of plain re-bar. The results of this study showed that the bond strength of 55mm bond length was much higher than that of 85mm bond length.

  • In this paper, we present the results of an experimental research on the load-deflection characteristics of full-scale concrete bridge decks reinforced with GFRP re-bars. Similar researches have been conducted in many countries to extend the service life of concrete bridge decks, which are under harsh environmental condition. Concrete bridge decks are one of the major concerns for the maintenance of bridges. GFRP re-bar available in the domestic construction market was investigated and the concrete deck reinforced with GFRP re-bars was tested under flexure to investigate the applicability of GFRP re-bar on the bridge deck construction.

초고강도 철근이음의 경제성 평가모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Economic Evaluation Model of Splice of Reinforcement Bar(SD500))

  • Recently, the high-rise apartment housings have become a prototype of the urban residential dwelling in Korea and the numbers of one have steadily been increasing. According to this trend, the strength of the construction materials is also fortified to assure the stability and durability of the buildings. Specially, Re-bar of SD500 type is largely used at the construction sites of high-rise building. This study analyzes the current usage of SD500 high-strength re-bar at domestic construction sites. Through the result of this analysis, we develop Economic Evaluation Model that measure economic efficiency of lap splice and coupler splice, which are most commonly used in connection SD500. The evaluation method was applied to construction sites in Seoul in December 2006, and the result revealed that coupler splice is relatively superior in terms of cost efficiency when the re-bar diameter is longer and the concrete strength is lower.
