A Study on the Evaluation Index and Rating system for Remodeling in Rural Community Facility (농촌 커뮤니티 공간 리모델링의 대상요소 및 평가방법에 관한 연구 - 제주시 선흘리를 대상으로 -)

  • In terms of both quality of rural lifestyle and cultural awareness, the importance of community facility is being emphasized. Nevertheless, by occasion of graying, population outflow and revenue loss, rural society faces the erosion of community. For these reasons, government is promotion an community space construction project on rural areas which is lack of community facilities. Whereas the projects are just one off thing not include upkeeping, so lots of functional overlapping community facilities are formed in same place. In this study has classified rural community facility remodeling element and designed rural community facility evaluation system of each elements. In order to implement of purpose, it has categorized community remodeling index in rural area by literature analysis and site survey. For setting remodeling rating system, this study analysed preceding research data and conducted a Delphi survey of 30 experts. As a result, this study deducted 29 categories of community remodeling index and 21 categorizes of remodeling rating clause. Taking this result, this study progressed case study on seonheul-ri in Jeju. Implications, limitations and future research directions are presented. It would be groundwork for remodeling system development in rural community facility.

Energy Consumption on Balcony Remodeling Type in an Apartment House (공동주택에서 발코니 확장형이 에너지소비에 미치는 영향)

  • The percentage of apartment houses in residential buildings has increased every year, and it result in higher energy consumption of residential buildings. After the house law could be amended to legalize the remodeling of the balcony, buyers and contractors prefer to choose the balcony remodeling type when they choose a house for installment sale. Many construction companies design an apartment house considering balcony remodeling. So, this paper compares the balcony remodeling type with the basic type(prior to remodeling balcony) by using the building energy rating system tool. The balcony remodeling type consumes heating energies more than the basic type, and is unable to receive high rating. If the balcony is remodeled, it is required to improve the performance of wall and window and reduce the area of remodeling balcony.

  • There are lots of buildings which were built before the Legislation on building energy rating system. Remodeling of the buildings would be required for an improvement of the building energy rating system was enforced by the government. In the Passive Building Design, Elements which will be used for the remodeling are Insulation, Window, External venetian blind, Heat exchanger. The Purpose of this study is to indicate a Method for the improvement of Energy saving by an analysis of Construction Cost, Cost Evaluation, Energy performance Efficiency in applied design elements. In this study, the remodeling of existing public buildings to improve energy efficiency rating was applied to extract the elements of design-specific energy performance, efficiency, and the application of the designs that has been analyzed. The results were as follows: applying the design-specific cost-effective investment that represents the economy (investment efficiency/%) surveyed the average insulation(7.0%), triple glazed windows(10.1%), double glazed windows(12.1%), external shading(24.5%), and Heat(77.2%) were analyzed in order to be more efficient. Analysis of the basis of information on the existing public buildings to improve energy efficiency rating for the remodeling depending on driving conditions at a degree of individual difference. The main effect, however, depending on economic investment, design elements, heat exchangers, external awning, double glazed windows, triple glazed windows, insulation, is recommended as review of the order shall be determined.

  • Housing Performance Rating Indication System was started in 2006. The aim of Housing Performance Rating Indication is to provide the guideline of housing performance. Repair Convenience is similar to Remodeling. Remodeling has been paid more attention as an alternative for reconstruction. Especially, now the actual house supply is facing almost 100%, it is time to keep and maintenance management of apartment buildings, and ultimately it will expand the Long life housing. Especially consumers has to have a right to select apartment buildings by comparing performance of house. For construction companies, they need a performance code that standardized by government, so they can provide a Certain performing house. This study examines data which has been obtained from the recent application of Housing Performance Rating Indication System and Repair Convenience category is main concern. Findings from the study will provide vital information in improving current Housing Performance Rating Indication System.

  • In Korea, Housing Performance Rating Indication System was first adopted in 2006. Main purpose of the System is on developing criteria which can systematically measure the level of housing performance. Among the five categories of Housing Performance Rating Indication System, Repair Convenience is closely related to Remodeling which has been widely recognized as an alternative to the building reconstruction. Especially, as the actual housing supply level in Korea is reaching almost 100%, it is crucial to expand Long-life Housing through the effective maintenance and management. In addition, consumers should have an access to the performance ratings of apartment buildings on which they can rely on in choosing their own housings. And for construction companies, a performance code enacted by government will provide them with a standard that they can utilize in determining performance level of buildings that they build. This study examines data which has been obtained from the recent application of Housing Performance Rating Indication System and Repair Convenience category is main concern.   • Energy systems in increasing energy efficiency are actively performed at home and abroad. But Generally systems in the country are limited in a new building or sort of some buildings like a public and office building. So, this research suggest a new direction of energy system for existing buildings. It need to set a new bound for containing the green remodeling. For a direction, we analysis domestic energy system in perform and compared their bounds, standard and methods of energy evaluation. This study is necessary for an additional research for proposing detailed evaluation items and for a feasibility study research. And it contribute to develope internal energy systems and set a new system bound.

  • This paper proposes an energy conservation scheme when apartment remodeling is provided, which analyzes the energy conservation techniques that are suitable for overseas passive houses. Subsequently, a passive solution that is more suitable for our country is derived. In order to examine the energy saving rate applying to passive solution, it evaluates the energy saving rate of 5 specific cases by taking advantage of internal building energy efficiency rating certification system, classifies them and analyzes them. Finally, a rational alternative is devised, and then which is implemented in the internal apartment housing remodeling project. This scheme can save 40% of the energy in comparison with typical apartment building.

  • Due to the Climate change and resource shortage by global warming, various problems are rising and getting worse around the world. Many countries are doing the considerable efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The government of South Korea also plans to decrease greenhouse gas emission, the various pilot projects are underway, which includes obligation of energy efficiency 1st rating and greenhouse gas target management system of public buildings. In particular, luxurious government office buildings and energy-wasting public building have issued and emerged as a social problem. Energy efficiency improvement of the existing public office buildings are becoming an important issue recently. This study is proposed the step-by-step energy improvement model according to the building energy efficiency rate in order to reduce the energy consumption. To attain this end, I set up a base model by analyzing the current architectural conditions of the existing public office buildings and grasped the specific properties of building energy consumption through energy simulations. Furthermore, I suggested phased reduction prototypes for the reduction target of energy consumption by applying the methods of the zero energy building plan. This study is expecting that prototypes would give directions when it comes to planning the implementation policy of phased building plan factors, according the building energy consumption reduction goal in the existing public office buildings which are the subject of building energy target management system.

Performance Analysis of Gas Turbine for Large-Scale IGCC Power Plant

  • As the need for clean coal technology has grown, so has the global research and development efforts into integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) plants. An IGCC plant couples a gas turbine to a gasification block. Various technical and economic problems exist in designing such a system. One such problem is the difficulty in realizing economies of scale because the single-train flow capacity of commercial IGCC synthetic gas turbine plants is limited; the capacity does not exceed a net power rating of 300 MW. To address this problem, this study modeled and simulated a synthetic gas turbine with the goal of evaluating the feasibility of a 500 MW or larger IGCC plant. First, a gas turbine with the best output and efficiency was chosen for use with natural gas. The turbine was modeled using GateCycle (a simulation tool), and the integrity of the model validated by comparing the result to the design value. Next, off-design modeling was carried out for a gas turbine with synthetic gas based on its on-design model, and the result was compared with the study result of the gas turbine manufacturer. The simulation confirmed that it is possible to create a large capacity IGCC plant by undertaking the remodeling of a gas turbine designed to use natural gas into one suitable for synthetic gas.

The Analysis on the Traces of Short Pass Behavior on Lawn Fields in Urban Parks (도시공원내 잔디밭 가로지르기 흔적 분석)

  • This study is aimed to redesign established parks and to propose a series of devices protecting them from vandalism. To solve the problems, we ascertained the damaged areas of the park greens. The trace analysis was performed to grasp the transverse inside the parks of Jeonju and Iksan in Collabuldo. Then, we presented the basic plan for minimizing park damage and for remodeling the system of movement. The results of the study are summarized as follows: it is identified that the transverse phenomenon is considerably wide-spread in majority of parks, and has no relationship to the park area or the green area. It is considered that the $\ulcorner$Condition rating class$\lrcorner$ of grass damage, which is grade 6, is extraordinarily high and the damage is accumulated considerably. Also, the damage part of other grade is discovered equally, and when unattended, the acceleration of damage is positive. A damage width a 0.5∼1.5m makes up the greater part of 79.6%. It also constitutes most of a rectilinear form. The difference in the height between the original point and destination point is below 0.7m, which is above 70%. It is identified that the interrelationship between the damage continuation length and plan distance is relatively high by the simple regression: analysis and by Pearson' correlation analysis. In spite of the normal damage continuation length is 20m, the frequency degree is downward with extreme point at 10m. Accordingly, it is assumed that park users have physical and psychological pressure when they cross the lawn field. Damage types are classified as the Simple cut cross type, the Behavioral facilitates type, Access advantage type and the Strolling type through type classification. It is considered that this classification is effective when identifying short pass type on lawn field according to the damage length and intensity.
