Fly ash (FA) is the main additive to concretes currently produced. This substitute of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) have a positive effect on the structure and mechanical parameters of mature concrete. Unfortunately, the problem of using FA as the OPC replacement is that it significantly reduces the performance of concretes in the early stages of their curing. This limits the possibility of using this type of concrete, e.g., in the prefabrication, where it is required to obtain high strength composites after short periods of their curing. In order to minimize these negative effects, research has been undertaken to increase the early strength of the concretes with FA through the application of a specially dedicated chemical nanoadmixture (NA) in the form of seeds of the C-S-H phase. Therefore, this paper presents results of tests of modified concretes both with the addition of FA and with NA. The analyses were carried out based on the results of the macroscopic and microstructural tests in 5 time periods, i.e. after: 4, 8, 12, 24 and 72 hours. The greatest increase in mechanical strength parameters and rapid development of the basic matrix phases in composites in the first 12 hours of composites curing was observed.
The use of calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement as a rapid-hardening cement admixture or eco-friendly alternate for ordinary Portland cement (OPC) has been attempted over the years, but the cost of CSA cement and availability of suitable aluminium resource prevent its wide practical application. To propose an effective ground improvement design in sandy soil, this study aims at blending a certain percentage of CSA with OPC to find an optimum blend that would have fast-setting behavior with a lower carbon footprint than OPC without compromising the mechanical properties of the cemented sand. Compared to the 100% CSA case, initial speed of strength development of blended cement is relatively low as it is mixed with OPC. It is found that 80% OPC and 20% CSA blend has low initial strength but eventually produces equivalent ultimate strength (28 days curing) to that of CSA treated sand. The specific OPC-CSA blend (80:20) exhibits significantly higher strength gain than using pure OPC, thus allowing effective geotechnical designs for sustainable and controlled ground improvement. Further parametric studies were conducted for the blended cement under various curing conditions, cement contents, and curing times. Wet-cured cement treated sand had 33% lower strength than that of dry-cured samples, while the stiffness of wet-cured samples was 25% lower than that of dry-cured samples.
The production of ultra-early-strength concrete (UESC) traditionally involves complexity or necessitates high-temperature curing conditions. However, this study aimed to achieve ultra-early-strength performance solely through room-temperature curing. Experimental results demonstrate that under room-temperature (28℃) curing conditions, the concrete attained compressive strengths of 20 MPa at 4 hours and 69.6 MPa at 24 hours. Additionally, it exhibited a flexural strength of 7.5 MPa after 24 hours. In contrast, conventional concrete typically reaches around 20.6 MPa (3,000 psi) after approximately 28 days, highlighting the rapid strength development of the UESC. This swift attainment of compressive strength represents a significant advancement for engineering purposes. Small amounts of steel fibers (0.5% and 1% by volume, respectively) were added to address potential concrete cracking due to early hydration heat and enhance mechanical properties. This allowed observation of the effects of different volume contents on ultra-early-strength fiber-reinforced concrete (UESFRC). Furthermore, the compressive strength of 0.5% and 1% UESFRC increased by 16.3% and 31.3%, respectively, while the flexural strength increased by 37.1% and 47.9%. Moreover, toughness increased by 58.2 and 69.7 times, respectively. These findings offer an effective solution for future emergency applications in public works.

This paper was studied to effects of fatigue by low flexural load on micro structures and carbonation of mortar. Mortar specimens cured at various conditions were first subjected to bending repeated loads, and it was made clear that insufficient cure reduced fatigue resistance of them. Next, fatigue tests that the stress levels are lower than the ones of fatigue rupture were carried out, The effect of curing conditions in early age on carbonation was furthermore studied using the scale, and it was made clear that insufficient cure is also susceptible to carbonation of them. Finally, the reason for rapid carbonation of fatigued mortars insufficiently outed was discussed from the view point of changes in pore structure of them.

In this study, prediction of later-age compressive strength of ultra-high strength concrete, based on the accelerated strength of concrete cured in 80℃ warm water was investigated. As a result, the nature of ultra-high strength concrete showed a rapid early strength enhancement, compressive strength using warm water method of 80℃ at 2days is same compressive at 28days using standard curing.

In the stereolithography process, the accuracy of cured shape depends on laser power, scanning speed, scanning pattern, resin characteristics etc. When three-dimensional objects are built, higher laser power gives higher building efficiency. Normally we could control scanning speed and scanning pattern, which affect curing thickness and generate volume of curl in & after building. Oligomer, Monomer and Initiator are major components. Kinds and of them decide characteristic of resin. In this paper, we deak with major facts and their characteristics for precision shape building.

This paper addresses a development work of a SLA apparatus on laboratory basis. The SLA test machine is composed of optical, movement, curing and control subsystems. Optical part is performed by a He-Cd laser with mirror combination and mechanical movement is achieved by X-Y table. The developed system is evaluated by several test runs, and shows a good precision capability in forming a basic part. The technique used in this work can be extended to replace the high technology transfer cost of commercial RP machine.

This paper presents a study on the selection of optimal mix proportions for producing lightweight pre-foam concrete as a substitute for Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) without the accelerated curing. The study was conducted using a rapid hardening binder made from by-products of the steel industry as the primary raw material. The experimental results established the optimal mix proportions, which included retarder content, water/binder ratio, foam content, and fiber inclusion amount, for the production of lightweight foam concrete. The optimal mix proportion was determined to have a retarder content at the minimum amount required to secure the working time, W/B of 35%, a foam content limited to 65% or less, and a fiber inclusion amount of 0.05% or less.
Many methods for cross-linking acrylic PSAs have been discussed previously. For high cross-linking density, epoxy functionalized monomer and methyl aziridines as cross-linking agents were used in this study. Additionally, photopolymerization using different UV doses was investigated to synthesize a binder because of its rapid productivity. FT-IR analysis, curing behaviours and adhesion performance were examined for the relationship between UV doses and temperature as curing conditions. According to the results, the gel fraction was over 50% even at $120^{\circ}C$ after UV curing at a dose of $800mJ/cm^2$. On the other hand, while gel fractions of all samples reached approximately 80% only at $180^{\circ}C$ in thermal curing for 1 hour, gel fractions of the samples after thermal curing for 3 hours increased rapidly above $120^{\circ}C$ regardless of UV doses and reached approximately 100% at $180^{\circ}C$. This means that the second cross-linking reaction, esterification, is mainly dependent on the curing temperature.
