In Joule-heating-induced crystallization, solid-to-solid or liquid-to-solid phase transformation could occur. It was found that novel physical phenomena that randomly nucleated liquid seeds, followed by rapid solidification in an amorphous matrix, during the Joule-heating-up period play an important role especially in liquid-to-solid transformation. Under some processing conditions, super-grains sized 6-8 ${\um}m$ were produced by the lateral growth from the initial seeds, without any artificially control.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of the four obturation techniques. In this study, eighty teeth were instrumented and randomly divided into 4 groups of 20 teeth each, according to the obturation techniques Group A was used with Microseal. in Group B, Thermafil. in Group C, continuous wave techniques, in Group D cold lateral condensation methods were used. After obturation, the teeth were taken a digital radiograph in mesiodistal and buccolingual directions to study the quality of the obturation.(omitted)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of flowable composite lining on microleakage at gingival dentin margin in Class II composite restoration. Sixty extracted human molars were prepared as box-only Class II form on the mesial and distal surfaces. The prepared cavities were randomly assigned to six groups.(omitted)

This study was performed to evaluate internal bleaching effect of various bleaching agent on discolored nonvital teeth. 40 Human teeth were intentionally discolored with erythrocytes of human blood and randomly divided into 4 groups: 10% carbamide peroxide gel (Opalescence, Ultradent, U.S.A.); 15% carbamide peroxide gel; sodium perborate (Duksan pure chemical Co., Korea) with distilled water; sodium perborate with 30% hydrogen peroxide (Duksan pure chemical Co., Korea).(omitted)

A system is considered which is required to perform tasks that arrive randomly during a fixed mission duration. We develop queueing models to obtain the mission effectiveness and the blocking probabilities. Exact probabilities are computed by using the Finite Fourier Cosine Transform.

This paper considers the covering network design problem (CNDP). In the CNDP, an undirected graph is given where nodes correspond to potential facility sites and arcs to potential links connecting facilities. The objective of the CNDP is to identify the least cost connected subgraph whose nodes cover the given demand points. The problem difines a demand point to be covered if some node in the selected graph is present within an appropriate distance from the demand point. We present an integer programming formulation for the problem and develop a dual-based solution procedure. The computational results for randomly generated test problems are also shown.

Peroxides in natural products have been recently received a considerable attention due to their various biological and pharmacological properties. Nearly 300 peroxides have been isolated and structually characterized from natural sources, mainly as constituents of Compositae and marine sponge, and occur randomly in about 10 other plant families. Among peroxides studied, sesquiterpene endoperoxide, quinghaosu, has been already clinically applied as a new antimalarial drug. Based on the peroxides reported, structural classification, natural distribution and biological and pharmacological activities are reviewed. Color reagent and spectroscopic identification of peroxide are also described.

The purpose of this paper is to propose the modified semiparametric estimators for survival function in the Cox's regression model with randomly censored data based on Tsiatis and Breslow estimators, and present their asymptotic variances estimates. The proposed estimators are compared to Tsiatis, Breslow, and Kaplan-Meier estimators through a small-sample Monte Carlo study. The simulation results show that the proposed estimators are preferred for small sample sizes.

Consider the confidence interval estimators of treatment effect when some of data to be analyzed are randomly censored, assuming two-sample location-shift model. Recently proposed PARK and PARK(1995) Estimators is discussed and a bootstrap estimator is proposed. This estimator is compared with other well-known estimators throught the simulation studies and recommendations about the use are made.
