궤간가변 시스템의 특허맵 분석 연구 (Patent-map analysis of variable-gauge systems)

  • Variable-gauge systems can be used for the fast and safe transportation in the railways with different gauges instead of transshipment or bogie-changing. The system will be necessary to connect the trans-Korean railway with the transcontinental railway effectively. In this paper, searches of patent information about variable-gauge system are conducted and the patent maps are analyzed to seize the overall image and trend of the technology field. The results can be a reference for determining the development direction of the variable-gauge system suitable in the north-east asian railway networks.

  • This paper introduces how to adopt the X-12-ARIMA to decompose the railway passenger demand of the Korea National Railroad Especially, selecting on proper filters is focused. The trend filter is identical to the low pass filter in the signal Processing field, and so the seasonal filter is to band pass filter too. Some considerations, selecting a filter, are provided from the view-point of the spectrum analysis. The technique introduced in this paper will be adopted to the project that is to develope the forecasting system of Korea railway passenger demand which is a part of the high speed rail information system.

  • In Korea, the number of railroad accidents is decreasing, but the scale of railroad accidents tend to be growing large. On considering the opening of the high speed railway in 2004, the problem of railroad safety is very important. The purpose of this study is to make plans for improving railroad safety of Korea. To make this plan, we generally analyzed the future railway traffic, and reviewed annual statistics of railroad accidents trend and case studies of foreign railway accidents.

철도 건널목 사고의 발생빈도 특성분석 연구 (Analysis of the Characteristic of Railroad(level-crossing) Accident Frequency)

  • Railroad traffic accident consists of train accident, level-crossing accident, traffic death and injury accident caused by train or vehicle, and it is showing a continuous downward trend over a long period of time. As a result of the frequency comparison of train accidents and level-crossing accidents using the railway accident statistics data of Railway Industry Information Center, the share of train accident is over 90% in the 1990s and 80% in the 2000s more than the one of level-crossing accidents. In this study, we investigated time series characteristic and short-term prediction of railroad crossing, as well as seasonal characteristic. The analysis data has been accumulated over the past 20 years by using the frequency data of level-crossing accident, and was used as a frequency data per month and year. As a result of the analysis, the frequency of accident has the characteristics of the seasonal occurrence, and it doesn't show the significant decreasing trend in a short-term.

  • The korea railway design has been developed by change of the society and culture through the consideration of the history of railway. Accordingly there contribute in the development of the korea railway design by analyzing the trend according to the changes o the korea railway design and the changes of the life environment in this paper. As dividing the design by period according to the changes of life environment into the internal and external nation, there are to analyze the development history of the korea railway design accordingly the railway and the style's change, to confirm into the design applied in society and culture needs, and to analyze by a year in changes of the environment and the korea railway design history from the 1800's to 2005.

저진동 궤도슬래브의 설계와 시공 (Design and Construction of Floating Slab Track)

  • Recently, railway has been pointed to the efficiency of transportation, rapid transit, and comfortable train ride. In the case of domestic situation, both rapid transit railway and existing railway have been operated in higher speed and the construction of railway near the city building has been increased as well. Because of the rapid transit system and heavy railway, the noise and vibration of railway has been increased so that the strong standards in terms of environmental matter should be required. Therefore, the solution to avoid environmental matters becomes one of the most important factor in constructing railway. In this study, floating slab system which is one of the solution to avoid noise and vibration in railway has been introduced, and the foreign technology and the trend of this business has been investigated. In addition, the method of conceptual design and construction of floating slab system according to the isolator has been introduced.

  • According to Korean railway safety law and its ordinances, the Korean railway standard(KRS)s to recommend railway operators and manufacturers the regulations for safety and inter-operability of railway system were enacted in the early 2006. In order to reflect rapidly advancing railway technologies and correspond to the international railway standard led by Europe and Japan, KRSs should be confirmed and revised continuously. This paper deals with recent trends in enacting international standards by IEC and the Europe and Japan's activities for this, and presents advancement directions for KRS.

  • 철도는 다른 수송수단에 비하여 많은 인원과 물류를 안전, 신속, 정확하게 운송할 수 있는 기간산업으로 매우 중요한 시설이다. 현재 철도시설을 담당하는 전문 인력의 수가 부족하여 철도신호기술사 확보가 시급히 요구되고 있다. 이에 철도신호기술사 고시를 준비하는 사람은 많은 반면, 접근방법을 몰라 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 본 논문은 철도신호기술사 고시를 소개하고 지난 15년간 기출제된 시험문제와 최근 5년간의 문제에 대한 출제경향 및 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목을 조사 분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 철도신호기술사 고시를 준비하는 수험생이 쉽게 자격취득 과정에 접근할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였으며, 또한 철도관련 교육기관의 교과목 중 철도신호기술사 자격취득을 위한 필수교과목을 선별 제시하였다.

유럽 도시철도 신호시스템의 표준화 동향 (The Trend of the Standardization of the Urban Guided Transport Management System in Europe)

  • Urban railway signaling system is for train operation with safety in the urban crowded area, that has been increasing the demand of use of advanced train control systems with safe. European Commission is supporting the UGTMS(Urban Guided Transport Management System) project for the research and development. The main objective of UGTMS is to provide the European urban guided transport sector (comprising metro, tram and light rail systems) with a common Management System. A key topic is the extent to which the specifications for the successful ERTMS(European Rail Transport Management System) can be adapted to UGTMS needs. Beyond this, it is necessary to define the relevant functional and system requirements for all types of urban guided transport management systems in order to improve interoperability and intermodality. Also to be explored are the prospects for open system standards. In this article, we look into the trend of the standardization through the UGTMS project in Europe and consider any benefit to the project of the standardization for the urban railway signaling system in Korea.
