열차의 곡선주행능 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Curving Performance of Railway Vehicle)

  • Kyung-p-1 main line is characterized by its curves radii of which are considerably small. It is essential for running time reduction of train to improve capabilities of curve negotiation. This improvement can be achieved by designing a bogie with flexible suspension system. The effect of the improvement is mainly concerned in the primary yaw stiffness of bogie suspension. This paper gives a linear analysis for the motion of railway vehicle on curved track and gives also computer simulation results for Semaul Train. The results introduce a conclusion that the primary yaw stiffness of Semaul train is too rigid to be self-steering on Kyung-pu main line curves.

  • This research has been performed to reveal the hysteresis phenomena of the hunting motion in a railway passenger cars. It is found that there are some factors and its operation region to make the nonlinear critical speed reacts to them more sensitively than the linear critical speed. The simulation results show that a self steering bogie system can be a substitute proposal to improve curving Performance together with the reduction of hysteresis of critical speed. Full scale roller rig test is carried out for the validation of the numerical results. Finally, it is certified that wear of wheel profile and stiffness discontinuities of wheelset suspension caused by deterioration have to be considered in the analysis to predict the hysteresis of critical speed precisely.

고속열차 동력차의 센터피봇 상대 회전각 계측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement of Relative Rotation of Center Pivot in Power Car of KTX)

  • The center pivot in the power car of KTX carries the traction force of the motor bogie to the carbody. The damage to the center pivot due to failure of swivel joint causes a serious hazard of the train. To prevent the hazard, information on the relative motion between bogie and carbody is necessary. In this paper, a method to measure the relative rotation of the center pivot is proposed and an actual test to verify the method and safety is conducted. The test results show that the rotation of the center pivot is within the allowable limit and the damage due to the relative motion doesn't take place.

무인자동안내방적 경량전철 시스템의 동특성에 관한 연구 (Dynamic Characteristics of Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) Vehicles)

  • In this paper, the dynamics and stability of the automated guideway transit (AGT) vehicles with rubber tires are investigated. Two types of AGT systems are considered: the bogie-type and steering-type systems. The critical speeds for the dynamic instability of lateral and yawing motions are investigated by use of the Routh-Hurwitz's stability criterion. It is shown that the bogie-type AGT vehicles are likely to be stable within the range of practical operating speed, whereas it is not true for the steering-type AGT vehicles. It is also shown that the control performance of steering-type AGT vehicles can be improved by choosing proper steering gains of the closed-loop steering control system.

  • A gauge-adjustable system can be used for the fast and safe transportation in the railways with different gauges instead of transshipment or bogie-changing. The system will be necessary to connect the trans-Korean railway with the transcontinental railway effectively. In this paper, the technical requirements for the gauge-adjustable system used for the north-east asia network were studied and the conceptual design of the system was performed. For the purpose, the specification was made and the QFD and TRIZ methods are used.

  • Rotem has chosen ADAMS/Rail as the next generation analysis tool, to improve the capability and accuracy of the analysis ability. The dynamic performances of the railway vehicle, which is designed and manufactured by Rotem, have been analyzed and simulated using ADAMS/Rail. In this paper, Dynamic stress of bogie frame on running track is analyzed and compared with the data of real vehicle test. It is performed using ADAMS/AutoFlex and ADAMS/Durability.

인터모달 트램 대차프레임의 하중 시험 및 강도 평가 (Loading tests and strength evaluation of bogie frame for intermodal tram)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로 겸용 궤도상을 운행하는 인터모달 트램에 적용하는 대차 시스템의 구조 안전성을 검증하고자 대차프레임에 대해 하중 시험과 강도 평가를 수행하였다. 기존 철도의 궤도와는 달리 급곡선과 급구배가 많은 도로상에 건설된 궤도의 특성을 고려하여 하중을 산정하였고, 기존 표준 규격의 기준 하중과 비교하였다. 비교 결과, 인터모달 트램 대차시스템에 작용하는 수직하중은 기존 표준 규격에서 제시하는 수직하중보다 작으나, 전후하중 및 좌우하중은 기존 표준 규격에 제시하는 하중 이상이 되었다. 표준 규격의 수직하중은 다양한 종류의 열차를 포괄하기 때문에 보수적인 값을 제안하고 있으나, 전후하중과 좌우하중은 급구배 급곡선을 고려하지 않기 때문에 대차 프레임에 작용하는 실제 하중과 차이가 있게 된다. 새로운 철도시스템의 개발 시에는 표준 규격 하중보다도 실제 작용 하중을 산정하여 적용하는 것이 합리적임을 알 수 있었다. 산정된 하중을 기초로 제작된 대차 프레임에 스트레인게이지를 부착하고 대형 하중 프레임에 세팅한 후, 유압 액튜에이터를 이용하여 하중을 가하고 응력을 계측하였다. 응력 계측 결과 대차 프레임에 발생하는 최대 응력은 프레임 단면이 변화되는 곡선부나 브라켓이 취부되는 취약부에서 발생하였으나 허용응력 이하가 되어 구조적 안전성이 확보된 것으로 평가되었다.
